Our experience with Henry's Floor Sanding was fantastic. Mr. Nguyen and his team are true professionals and extremely knowledgeable in the trade. It was very important to us to have the floors refinished before we started to move in. With just a couple weeks notice, Mr. Nguyen came out on a Saturday to get started on the job (the day after we settled on the house). He arrived early and was patiently waiting when I arrived at the house. He was careful to inform us that maple was a difficult wood to stain and we may see sanding marks and blotching but assured us he would take every precaution to avoid imperfections. He helped us decide on a color and went right to work. The team finished in just a few days and the floors are perfect. No sand marks, no blotches...just perfect! We are very happy with Henry's Floor Sanding and have already passed his name on to friends who are looking to have floors refinished.

From the moment I got in touch with Henry, through to the last minute of his work, you can tell Henry knows what he's doing. I renovated my home (1500 sq ft) with my family, but didn't want to tackle the hardwood floors (3/4" solid white pine from the 1950s that were covered by 5 layers of carpet, tile, etc) so I called Henry in for a quote. He arrived on time, was significantly cheaper then the other three bids I obtained, clearly explained everything (pros/cons of stains, etc) and in the end, did an amazing job. When I explained to Henry I was on a tight deadline and needed everything done within three days.. no problem. Henry and his team were able to fit me into their schedule before my move-in date at the end of the month. Just after the initial sanding and staining was completed on the first day, I stopped by to take a look and they were amazing. The final results are even better. Henry even fixed some problem areas I didn't see at no extra charge. His team did a great job and I highly recommend his services to others. I would like to note, I saw some reviewers on here complained about the smell of the oil-based polyurethane. Henry clearly explained this to me in the beginning (the smell from the poly) and how to deal with it. Yes, it does smell, but following Henry's recommendations, I left the windows open as much as possible. It did rain one day, requiring the windows to be closed for almost 24hrs, but after leaving them open an extra two days, the smell went away! Work with Henry and his team on your next flooring project and you will not be disappointed!!

Reasonably priced. Henry and his crew of two worked for 3 days to install hardwood flooring. The carpet had already been removed and the floor prepped in most place; even so, we were impressed with the speed with which Henry and his crew finished the work. There were a few squeaks which they had to fix, and they came back and fixed those quickly. We have had the floors for two years now and are enjoying them. We would recommend Henry.

Henry scheduled me promptly, showed up when he was supposed to. Worked cleanly and finished on time. He was clear about how the process would go and we had no surprises.

He did it again! It's my second time when I hired Henry's co to do my floors. This time he worked on my second floor of our brownstone. I have to say - this team is the hardest working team I've ever met. As do know this team and I know what to expect I came to the brownstone the day the arrived, we worked through the details again as I had some new thoughts and I left. When I was leaving the house the rest of the team where doing preparation for the work. This team will never waist time - they come and work hard! During the first day of demolition and some restoration Henry texted me pictures to show that he was able to save old mosaic on the hallway (I was praying he was able to do it but you never know what may happen after you remove old paint from the floor) And oh boy, I was happy what I saw. It happened that I was passing the brownstone later after the team left and I saw it in real life. Next time I showed up only after 3days to see a finish product - beautiful floor! Looking absolutely gorgeous! Even my painting crew who are finishing my 3rd floor were impressed. Just for the people who do their research: I do not have painful experience with dust and odor as my brownstone goes through restoration phase and it's empty. Please expect that there will be dust and odor. And if that what might concern you please discuss it with Henry as communication with him is very easy - he always responds back as quickly as he can despite that he works with his crew as hard as they are. As for flooring: Henry's Co is my gem and I'll keep him in mind all the time! But we still have to finish the 1st floor.... See you after Labor day guys!

Very courteous, prompt, and fulfilled everything as explained. Everything was explained well up front - everything was done well and on time. The flooring came out beautifully.

We were really happy with the work done. The floors looked great! We had a little incident where we forgot that we had a door mail box and when the mail man delivered the mail that day it went right on the floor when they were still wet. I called Henry the next day and left him a message on what had happened. He called me back right away on a Sat and said he and his men would stop by and repair the floor for us. We thought that was so nice of him to come back even after we paid!

I recently decided to put in hardwood flooring in my upstairs. I contacted two reputable companies for estimates. Both companies were punctual in coming out. Henry however brought to my attention that the product I had selected had to be glued as it was a very wide plank. When I did further research I concluded that he was absolutely correct. The other company that I had come out for an estimate and had used for 4 other floors was going to nail the product. Henry's price was also less then his competitor. I decided that based on his knowledge of the product I would use him. He arrived on time. Henry also was here through the entire process. It was a comfort to know that the owner was on the job, ensuring the best job possible. His workers were respectful and everyone worked very hard each day. The end result was an outstanding job! Floors are beautiful! Work was completed on time! Workers were respectful of my home. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for perfection.

From the first time we contacted Henry, he was extremely responsive. We were working with a very limited timeframe, and Henry was able to provide us with an initial quote after getting a description of the work and square footage over the phone. In addition, he accommodated our start date. We made plans to meet at our home at specific time and when we arrived at our home to meet Henry, he was waiting on us with his team. After a quick walk through, Henry and his team got to work, ripping out carpet and bundling it in a way required for it to picked-up with the weekly trash. Given the floor sanding and stairs were a bit more difficult than we originally anticipated, the team worked through the weekend (including Sunday) to keep the job on schedule. In addition, Henry did not raise his quote even given the tougher than anticipated conditions of the floor and staircases. Henry was always accessible via phone and text throughout the course of the work, which lasted about 5 days. We are completely satisfied with the work of Henry and his team and would highly recommend them to others.

Henry came for an estimate which he did on the spot after looking at the floors. He was very careful to explain to me what to expect, what materials he would use, the process, and what the finished floors would look like. They turned out fabulous, especially the 2nd floor pine which was a dusty old mess under the carpet. Very pleased with experience.

While the job looks great the experience was a bit difficult. He never told us how bad the smell was going to be. It was overpowering. We actually packed up and went to a hotel for 2 nights. For a couple of months our home smelled of the materials used to finish the floors. Everything in our home smelled. Our clothes smelled. When we would go out people could smell the floors in our clothes. It took at least 2 to 3 months for the smell to finally be faint enough to not be immediately noticeable. It was only after the work was done that a neighbor told us there are products that can be used that are odorless. It would have been nice to know that in advance, however he never told us that. I would have been willing to pay a bit more if I knew we would not have to deal with an unbearable smell for 3 months. Bottom line, the floors look great, but the experience stunk in more ways than one. Be sure to ask about odorless products.

We bought an investment brownstone in Philadelphia. After we ripped off wall to wall carpeting the painted hardwood floor was found. As the house is 100 years old - the idea is to try to save everything possible as we can. Through Angies list I narrowed my choice to 2 companies who could help me. Both Co representatives arrived and gave me the estimate but I had good feeling about Henry immediately (I do rely on my 6th sense as it almost always 99.99% is correct). He was very professional, gave me all explanations about my floors, told me what to expect and what he'll do. The same day I called him back and scheduled the day when he can start working on my floors. When the day arrived Henry and his team were right at the door. The went straight to work. I am very picky and hard to impress person - I am perfectionist! (the worst case of scenario for contractors) as I shall stick my nose into everything. At the beginning I was looking after them but shortly I understood that this guys do not need any supervision. They know what they do, how they need to do it and I showed up only for the final result to have a look at...and here I am - happy! The floors look great, old floors are repaired and restored and the biggest reward is gorgeous pattern of mahagony & Maple pattern all along the hallway. The 3rd floor is shining in all its glory! Now I am waiting them to arrive next month to do the floor on my 2nd floor... cannot wait... Henry and his team are hard workers, they are not cheap but they do deserve every penny!

Henry and his team were simply amazing. Henry is not just a contractor, but he is a craftsman who takes tremendous amount of pride in his work. He arrived when he said he would and the work definitely exceeded our expectations, so much so that after the first day we decided to add the family room to the job. We were initially going to get the family room recarpeted but got hardwood instead when we saw the finished product of his work. We are also going to have our library done in hardwood in the near future, and we will most definitely be using Henry. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. A+

Mr. Nguyen and his team were professional and did their job with the utmost care and pride. They put in the exact floor I wanted and it was done with extreme care and with extreme precision. My Son-In-Law, who does handy man work as a hobby said that it was done correctly and commented that Mr. Nguyen takes extreme pride in his work and what he does and makes sure it's done correctly the first.

My experience with them was very good. He was easy to work with and on time. Everything was fine. The guy who came to give the quote seems very professional and focused. We've been very happy with him that is why we decided to go with them.

This job is done best before you move into a house. Alas that wasn't our case. Henry's moved our large furnisher pieces out of work areas and sanded away. After the job was done and the finish dried, they carefully moved the furnisher back. The job looks really great. Glad we used them.

They were very accommodating with a job that we needed them to get in and out between other work that needed to be done in the room. They replaced the board with a piece that matched perfectly. They were on time, got the work done, and the floors look great. I'd work with them again.

Flooring look great. Henry was punctual and communicated his intentions/plans very well. Additionally, he suggested the best floor finish for my dogs (Satin). The price was excellent as well. The ONLY thing I have to complain about is there was dust over EVERYTHING as they do not hang plastic over your furniture and the area being serviced. I wouldn't have had a problem with that if I had been told before hand so I could have hung some myself.

Henry showed up on time, called ahead, did the work as scheduled, and came back to address one small oversight on a Sunday when I called him. He was polite, tidy, and did good work. The floors look great, including the transition zone where the refinish blends with floor I did not refinish. I would absolutely use him again. Thanks for pointing me his way

Henry gave us a very competitive quote. He is very professional and was prompt in giving us a quote. We decided to go with a company closer to our home which is also and Angie's List contractor. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Herny to anyone.

They were very prompt and friendly. We just have not made a decision yet. He responded promptly and seems to know what he is doing. I have used him before, and plan to use him again.

Their work was very good and they were fast. They were cheaper than the others were. They worked hard and efficient.

He was very good. I liked their price and their work ethic. There wasn't really anything I disliked. He didn't really keep me in the loop, but it really didn't matter. I misunderstood and thought he would come back the second day in the morning, but he came back in the late afternoon. It was fine and it worked out.
