Henry and his team did a fantastic job. This was a big and expensive piece of work for us but we are very happy with the experience and the outcome. What was so great? First, Henry always returned calls quickly and he came on time to give his quote. He explained the work that would need to be done in detail and also recommended that we get our first floor sanded instead of spending more money on a new floor. We had several questions after his first visit, and he took the time to answer these questions patiently. Second, he gave us a date on which the work would start, and he stuck to that. His team turned up promptly and always cleaned up after themselves as far as was practical. This was quite a complicated job that involved putting in a whole new floor over a sub floor that was originally designed for carpeting only. In addition, there were 3 flights of spiral stairs to be recovered. Many of the steps had a unique shape, so the wood had to be specially shaped to fit well. We were very nervous about this but Henry and his team worked painstakingly and took extra time to get it right. They also did an amazing job of ensuring that the one existing floor that we kept was stained to match the color of the new floors and stairs. The job took a day or two longer than expected but Henry didn't charge us more and was very clear in advance of when we'd have to be out of the house. Once we came back, we noticed a small area that had been missed and Henry had one of his guys sand and stain it manually at once. Our house is way better as a result of the new wood floorings and so much easier to look after. Thank you Henry and team! This was the most successful major project we have done so far in our house. Just be warned: if you are thinking of having this kind of work done, there's a lot of residual dust and smell that can take a while to get rid of and that can't be tackled by the work team, it's just the nature of the process. We had one neighbor who complained about the noise and the smell and I think if we had known more, we would have warned her and apologized in advance. It's part of the process, not something that can be prevented. The sanding and staining process may also leave marks on your paintwork and walls: nothing really obtrusive but if you are a perfectionist you will definitely want to do some paint touch up after the work is done.

Henry and his team did a good job. Floors look amazing even after 1 year. Price is reasonable. I strongly recommend Henry for floor sanding.

I found Henry's Floor Sanding off of Angie's List. He was great. He was completely fantastic. They did a beautiful job and they gave us a great deal. It was with our entire house of 2,300-square feet. He was just really adaptable. I called for an estimate months before the job was done. I pushed back the job on him two different times and he still came out when I needed him to come out on the third time. He still honored the original estimate he gave me. He was really easy to work with. I've recommended him to a friend already.

Beautiful results. Henry only uses a phone, so it can take a day for him to get back to you. He is very proud of his work.

Wow - Henry did an amazing job and for half the price of all other estimates I received. I couldn't be happier. First of all, he replied promptly to my initial message and came right out to do an estimate; then we were able to schedule within a few weeks. The crew also arrived right on time the first day. Henry sent many photos as the job went on (I was staying at a friend's for the duration of the work) and kept me updated every day. The result is BEAUTIFUL and I am so pleased with the work. He completely transformed the floors, which were in bad shape and partially covered in linoleum, under carpet which I took up myself. I'm going to really enjoy the new floors in a new-to-me house, and I also think this has added value above and beyond the price I paid, to the house itself. I would definitely call Henry again for any other needs I have. Incidentally he also took the time to show me how to more efficiently pull carpet staples out of my stairs while he was over for the estimate. He is a great guy!

Originally they were completely booked and could not book me until after a certain date. I told them that I really needed the floors done earlier because I was having people over and they fit me into their schedule on a weekend! The floors really turned out amazing. There were black spots all over and they were able to replace the boards. You would never know there were any spots at all. My only negative thing to say was that the house was a dusty mess afterwards. I do not think they put any plastic up and my kitchen had dust on every surface. Otherwise, I was completely satisfied. They showed up when they said they would and did a great job at a fair price.

Job was done on was done in the time frame Henry committed to and the results were outstanding. He was able to bring back some heavily worn floors to life.

He was here promptly at 8.30 with his crew day 1 (it takes three days in all & we had to move in with a family member for that period). I had moved all the furniture but was waiting on a piano mover to remove the piano and he and his crew helped me get it outside for the movers so they could start work. They did not ask for more money, did not complain about it, just got on with the job at hand. Henry sent us pictures of the work when it was complete and he did a masterful job. They are like glass and, I think, better than the first time we installed them. His crew are quick, courteous and professional and they do not cut corners. Hire him if you can but prepare for at least an 8 week lead time as he's busy and should be. Many other contractors out there should take a leaf from this company's book! Thanks Henry!

I've written reviews previously for Henry, as he has worked for us multiple times in the past. We recently moved into a new house, and when we decided that we wanted to refinish some floors, I contacted Henry and gave him the job. No need to call anyone else. What more could one expect from a contractor? He is prompt and courteous. His advice is excellent. His work is superb, and his prices are fair. The work was scheduled while we were away on vacation. He texted me photos of the completed work while we were away. When we got home, the finished work looked even better than the pics. Once again, awesome job, Henry!!

Once an appointment time was arranged with Henry, he was prompt and provided an accurate quote for some repair work that needed to be completed before the floors were refinished as well as the refinishing itself. We were given a time slot for the work to be done. This time slot was adhered to and the crew was on time to start. We stayed in a hotel for three nights as the fumes were pretty strong. There was the suspected amount of dust, but it was well contained. As others have said, Henry?s Floor Sanding is reliable, professional and the price charged is very reasonable for the work that was done.

I pulled up the old carpets in my new home and found oak hardwood flooring underneath in good condition. I called a few flooring companies for estimates - Henry was the only one willing to come out and take measurements before providing a quote. He was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgable, and provided the best quote, so I scheduled him to start the following week. When Henry's crew arrived to start the work, Henry kept me apprised of their progress, and showed a few other defects that he had identified and repaired. The old floor sections that were ruined by pet stains were replaced with new red oak, and it blends so seamlessly with the rest of the flooring that you can't even tell that it was replaced. After sanding, he offered to put down a few sample stripes of different stains, allowing me to see how they would look on my floor, to help me decide which color to choose. In the end, I chose English Chestnut for my red oak floor. The work was complete after four days and I am extremely pleased - my floor has a beautiful, rich, even color, and the finish makes it look like a million bucks. The quality of the work is astounding and the price is good, so I will definitely contact Henry again when I pull up the rest of my carpet.

Henry is professional and a master of his craft. He is meticulous and very attentive to details. This is the second big job that Henry has completed in my home and I am extremely pleased with his work and prices.

Well folks, Henry's done it again...he and his crew worked their magic and turned my sorry floors into things of beauty. They looked like glass when he was done! Henry sanded and polyurethaned the living and dining rooms, my staircase, my upstairs hallway and a back bedroom back in June, and he did an AMAZING job. Naturally I had to have him back to complete the house. I'm telling you...if you need your floors done, there's only one person you should call...Henry!!!

They're beautiful. I just can't tell you how pretty my floors are. Because there were animal urine spots, he chose the color. These are oak floors and instead of leaving them as the light oak, he chose to darken the stain which then made the urine stains less obvious. It's really quite nice.

Phuc and his team were wonderful to work with. I obtained quotes from several sources and his prices were reasonable and he was able to start within a month. He showed up on time and worked with us on the schedule to get job completed quickly. I was extremely impressed how great the floors he installed looked and how solid they felt. The floors on the 2nd level had water damage and were cupping. After they were done fixing the issues, sanding and staining the floors looked revitalized. I was so relieved that I kept the original floors despite other companies telling me the damage was too severe to save the wood. Phuc allowed me to keep the original charm in my house and I would highly recommend him.

Henry responded quickly and came out within a few days to provide a quote. We got on his schedule within a month. He did a fantastic job - some very old pet stains are not visible at all. Love the floors now!

The work went great. Phuc and his team did a great job on the floors. Phuc was responsive and started and finished the work on schedule. On top of doing a great job, Phuc repaired two stairs that he noticed free of charge. We would definitely use Henry's floor sanding again and recommend him to others.

The results were incredible. They matched the color of the wood floors upstairs to the beautiful cherry wood downstairs, and really just made the whole house look like a million bucks. Our floors look unbelievable. Henry's team was incredibly fast and professional, and managed to do the job in just a few days. My husband said I hit a home run with hiring them and I couldn't agree more.

I first called Henry in July to get an estimate. His price was fantastic and his description of what he wanted to do was extremely detailed. I could tell his level of knowledge and professionalism just by how he described the work to be done. He estimated about 4 days total for sanding and coating. He advised us to not walk on it if possible so we left the house to allow it to dry during the work. We prepped our home by removing all furniture and rugs from the treated areas ahead of his arrival. We also tried to hang plastic dropcloths in areas we did not want sawdust to enter. Henry said this was mostly unnecessary as he would retape and seal all doorways before beginning work. WOW! The first day of work he began at exactly 8:30am and got to work with his 2 man crew immediately. We went over the basics and potential problem areas we had discussed in the estimate and revisited the stain color preference. The sanders they used had vacuum bags attached and kept most of the dust down. We did have to wipe down the shelves and windows after the service was done but it was minimal. The staining process took 3 days and we kept the windows open to help with drying and the strong smell.Staining itself never lasted more than 2 hours and Henry told us approx when he would arrive the next day. We gave him a 1/2 payment deposit after the completion of day 1 and the final payment after day 3. When we walked back in the house was completely transformed and the floors looked incredible. The moulding work was so detailed that he even drilled a hole for our cable wire. I can't say enough good things about the work they did, the professional hard work they put in, the great price, and overall happiness we have with the final result. HENRY IS THE BEST!

The floors look better now than they did when we first bought the house seven years ago. Henry and his two man crew showed up and did such a marvelous job! I can't say how impressed I am with the skill and beauty Henry's Floor Sanding displayed. The floors had been worn down and beaten by my five person family for over seven years. We never put pads on our furniture. There was significant wear. Now it is completely immaculate! I'm not sure I can really even explain how amazed I am at the finished product. Thank you Henry and crew for making my floors look so wonderful again, you truly are a craftsman artist when it comes to resurfacing hardwood floors.

Henry is AMAZING!!! I cannot sing his praises enough. We purchased our home a few weeks back and decided to rip out the carpeting in the living room dinining room and second floor hallway and install hardwoods. After thoroughly researching natural vs engineered hardwood we decided to go with a natural wood stained to our desired color. I found Henry via his reviews on Angie's list and I am incredibly pleased with his work. Not only did he install the new harwoods he also sanded down the existing hardwood in the front hallway and stained it to match the rest of the home. On time, concentious, and reasonably priced, Henry is a true professional and perfectionst! My floors are beautiful and they are the "show piece" of the home. He books work far in advance so if you are thinking of hiring him do not wait too long. However, even if you have to wait, he is worth it!

I used Henry and his team last year to refinish my hardwood floors in all my house (3,400 sqf). I was very happy with his job. This year I was removing the walls in the living room to create open space concept. I needed to fix my floors after that and there is only one person who comes to my mind - Henry's floor sanding. The guys who I can trust and know that it'll be done right. My main fair was that he'll be very busy and he was scheduled tight. I asked him to schedule me at the first opening he has and I waited... Henry and his team arrived as scheduled, went straight to work and the final product is amazing. Henry doesn't stop surprise me as he managed to recreate the floor pattern as if it was here for a long time though the corner was badly damaged. Awesome job Henry!

Henry is awesome! After he completely refinished my floors, I had a new dishwasher installed. The dishwasher was a different size then my previous one. He came back and fixed my floor to make it perfect! He is exceptional. Thank you Henry!
