This is the second time I've hired Henry. My first experience with him, a larger job, was fabulous. This experience was equally superb. When I initially called him, he came the next day and gave me an estimate on this job and another that we have planned. He was on time. He is always very friendly and cheerful. He was flexible in terms of coordinating his work with some carpentry that was being done in the room as well. His work is superb and his price was extremely reasonable. I feel no need to look further than Henry for my hardwood floor work.

For the most part it was good. They came back to fix something that were not done the first time.

They did great work for me. Everything was done within two days, which I felt was pretty quick.

Henry and his crew were very friendly, very prompt, and cleaned up well when they were finished. And, they worked quickly too -- they were able to install the flooring and refinish our stairs in one day! Of course, for the sake of speed, it seemed attention to detail was sacrificed a bit: there were a few dips in the floor; we thought they might have better luck leveling that out, but with an old house with wavy subfloors we expected this to some degree. There were a few other visible mistakes too, although fairly minor. Of course, you can't beat the quality considering the price -- overall we're very satisfied.

The end product is marvelous, it looks terrific. The job was held up by a flat tire. I went with this company sight unseen based on Angie's List reviews and I was not disappointed. I obtained one other quote which was around a few hundred dollars more. Henry didn't actually do the work, he had substitute workers because he was on vacation, but they were certainly up to the task. My only complaint is that more could have been done to keep the dust down, the dust traveled all over the house.

This company lived up to all of the comments we found on Angie's List. They were very responsive, professional, and punctual. The price was very fair.

We were very happy with the results of their work. Our floors look beautiful and we are glad that we were able to restore them to their original look.

He did quality work and after he had refinished the floors it actually looked like he had laid down new flooring. He did good work!

Henry's proposal was the cheapest by about 15% and he also removed the existing carpet for no extra charge. The floors look amazing. He showed up early and his team worked on Saturday. The job was completed in 4 days as he had promised. An outstanding job.

Henry was truly professional. Punctual, courteous, with superb attention to detail. He did a superb job with the floors, and also managed to salvage the stairs (whose wood was not in great condition). The final product is orders of mangitudes better than what we started with; far exceeded expectations. I would recommend him without hesitation or reservation.

The floors look beautiful. The new floor is beautiful. My husband and I are very pleased and so glad we refinished the floors rather than just polish them. Henry was very nice and always promptly returned phone calls. He did exactly what he said he would do. I have one complaint, although my husband feels it was certainly as much as our fault as Henry's. We asked Henry to do the steps but not the risers to the steps(which were painted white). That was clearly a mistake as the carpeting on the steps doesn't look like it can go back and the risers are not painted where there was no carpet. We have just purchased this house, have not yet moved in and weren't aware of this. I think Henry should have called us and informed us of this situation when he removed the carpet. He has offered to fix the problem at a small cost (which is fair because we never contracted him to do the risers) but our painters are coming in. We may just have them paint all the risers white.

Henry and 2 workers showed up right on time. Removed existing carpet/molding, installed floor (I'm installing new molding myself)and cleaned up, all in 4 hours. Floors look great!

Henry was great! He was very nice, a hard worker and always on time. I was inspired by how he and his crew got right to work the first morning. They were already running saws and tearing up the wood that needed replacing in the first five minuets. Amazing!

Excellent service. Henry was very helpful, professional, & pleasant to work with. He suggested ways I could save money on the project and did a fantastic job on the floors. He told me it would take 3 days and it did. He and his crew were always on time. We could not be any happier with the end result. I highly recommend this company.

I liked Henry from the start, I saw all the glowing reviews and asked him to come for an estimate. He was running late, called me with 30 min to spare to offer another time but I hadn't closed on the house yet & was trying to have everyone come on the same day. He called again about 30 min later to say he was stuck in traffic and estimated being another 30min late (1 hour all together) this was okay with me because I had taken the day off and I appreciated how prompt he was with calling. He started the work on a Thurs, finished on Sat and they were dry and ready by our move on Tues morning! He was the only one to think about using the wood from the closet and his workmanship really showed, he also had the best bid. The 2 things I wasn't expecting, was to see the wood putty on top from some of the termite damage. (I just thought it would all be replaced, but it still looks fine) and he didn't take the trash with him, so I have a few heavy bags and a large can to get to the dump somehow.

I called Henry and he was able to stop by our house and deliver us a quote within two days of my call. He was able to schedule the work on our floors within two weeks...which was a very pleasant surprise. Henry's original quote was to completely refinish all floors with the exception of the living room, which he felt simply needed a light sanding. However, when he arrived on the first day of the job, he changed his mind and felt the living room needed to be completely refinished. However, he did not charge us more for the extra work required to do the job. He stuck to the original price quote he provided to us and finished the job in the same three day period he told us it would take to complete the job. The floors looked fantastic. We were really impressed with how well the kitchen and dining room look as they were in bad need of refinishing. The floors look brand new! We felt the price was very reasonable for the amount of work done. I would definitely recommend Henry.

Henry was a pleasure to deal with. He and his crew exceeded my expectations in every way. The work was fantastic. Henry was reliable, neat, and easy to work with. I had to cancel twice due to other contractors not finishing work. Henry was flexible and accomodated me. He also personally supervised the job and finished exactly when he said he would. My home looks wonderful!

Henry did a wonderful job. He was a pleasure to work with and our floors look awesome. The floors had not been done in 28 years. Furthermore, the floors had originally been stained a dark stain. Henry suggested sanding the floors and putting a gloss on them to bring out the natural oak color. They are absolutely gorgeous. They were very neat and did minimal damage to walls and floorboards. Highly recommended.

They were very prompt and courteous, also reasonable. I did not pay anything, but had problems with entering "0" for the cost above.

Henry is very professional and was on time every day. The cost of the job doubled after the carpet was pulled, as the stairs were found to be not structurally sound, with gaps in the wood as well. Although I was disappointed to see the cost of the job double, there was no way of knowing the condition of the steps w/o pulling the entire carpet, so I'm happy they pointed this out and fixed the problem. Henry reinforced steps and added new wood and added trim to areas that needed it. The other set of stairs were a mess originally and were also painted. Henry stripped these and refinished, and they came out beautiful. This type of work generates a big mess, but the crew cleaned up very good once the job was done. Overall, I'd recommend them work again. They have very good quality for the price.

In a word, terrific. My wife and I closed on a new house and we had one week to get the floors done and some painting done. It was a tight schedule. Henry's attitude throughout was, ''no problem.'' He worked on Saturday and Sunday and coordinated with the painter to get the work done on time. I found him to be honest, friendly, very hard-working, proud of his work. His price was very reasonable. There were a couple of areas that were damaged that he repaired. When I asked him how much would that cost, he said ''no charge, I want the floors to look good.'' Indeed, they look beautiful. I feel that I need to look no further when future work needs to be done.

THE GUYS WERE AMAZING! MY FLOORS ARE PINE SO THE NATURAL COLOR WASN'T VERY NICE AND I KNEW EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED THE END LOOK TO BE. HENRY MADE A CUSTOM STAIN OUT OF TWO DIFFERENT GLAZES TO ACHIEVE THE DESIRED COLOR. THEY WERE PUNCTUAL, VERY POLITE AND THE PRICE IS THE BEST ANYWHERE. MY FLOORS MAKE THE WHOLE HOUSE LOOK COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY ONE! GREAT JOB!!!

HENRY WAS VERY PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH, AND THE FLOORS CAME OUT NICELY.

THE FLOORS WERE IN TERRIBLE CONDITION, WITH PEELING AND CRACKING VARNISH, GOUGES, AND PAINT SPLOTCHES. THE FLOORS ARE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS NOW, THEY GLOW. HENRY & HIS WORKERS WERE FRIENDLY, PROMPT, QUICK, FLEXIBLE, AND DID GREAT WORK. HE SCHEDULED OUR JOB WITH VERY SHORT NOTICE. DIDN'T CHARGE EXTRA EVEN THOUGH THE WORK WAS HARDER THAN ESTIMATED (HE HAD TO RE-NAIL MANY BOARDS, AND USE A LOT MORE SANDPAPER THAN ESTIMATED). ALSO, HE REFINISHED A LEDGE THAT WE HAD NEGLECTED TO MENTION TO HIM AFTER WE HAD PAID HIM (IT IS WOOD, BUT NOT PART OF FLOOR). HE DID THIS FOR NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE, AND DID IT RIGHT ON THE SPOT WHEN WE MENTIONED IT. WE WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE NEEDING A WOOD FLOOR REFINISHED OR INSTALLED. WE WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT.
