Came to m my house to give an estimate to fix drywall on ceilings, replace flooring throughout the house, replace doors and some molding and completely redo the bathroom. He told me that we woudl have to move EVERYTHING out of the house. Since that would mean putting everything in storage and that we couldn't live here while the work was being done I really wasn't interested but didn't tell him so. We had five estimates and he was the only one that needed us to empty the house. He left and I never heard from him again which was fine with me.

After researching contractors in the Philadelphia area, I schedule 8 appointment for bids. I quickly learned about the inconsistency in pricing and how some contractors would try to take advantage of someone like me with no experience in renovations. I just bought my condo in 2010 brand new and didn't anticipate the roof leak as one may imagine. I chose Cosello due to their reputation and customer feedback on Angies list. Andrew Cosello called me back within 24 hours of my first inquiry. As context, I'm a type A, particular, urban professional with strong opinions. I think things thru, do research, and expect great service. I was impressed with Andrews flexibility, honesty, and willingness to work with me. He was professional and definitely believed in good business with integrity. Overall, I was very pleased with the results of the remodel. Cosello does good quality work. Also, when problems arose, they worked with me to ensure we had a mutually beneficial solution. My one learning from this experience is to be crystal clear on your expectations and make sure all decisions are ran through you first before executed. If I need any contracting work done in the future, I plan to use Cosello.

Andrew Cosello came very highly rated. He has more business closer to home. His quote was for a different type of windows. We had to request a quote for those which we are not sure we ever got. We did talk to references and they were all very positive. We had no flexibility on the kind of window that we used. He obviously had good luck with different kind of windows. We went back and forth clarifying on what kind of windows that we needed specifications for. We got references in a timely way. We were following all this up with individual appointments in July and he cancelled his with the idea that we didn’t need to do it. Then we revised our specifications and sent those to him and then we never heard back. We didn’t get back a quote on what we requested specification wise. We exchanged information about it but we don’t think we ever got the official quote. He didn’t show up. We would have to chase him if he was the last contractor standing. We would not go back to use him again.

Andrew was great to work with! He was very responsive to messages, phone calls, and emails. The unit is in a very old building in Center City that had restrictions we had to work around (historic building rules and also condo rules to follow). Cosello was knowledgeable of all applicable permits, as well. He also had great suggestions for the place during our renovation that would save us money. For instance, we showed him photos online of picture rails - similar to molding to hang artwork/wall decorations from hooks and wire rather than damaging our plaster walls - and he told us not to buy from that retailer online, that he would just order it for cheaper, cutting and painting them on site. The picture rails turned out beautifully (high quality work) and when we wanted to add more of it to other rooms in the place, it was no big deal. He also helped design our 2 new closets which we are very pleased with. All of the work took about a month and a half. There were a couple follow up visits made in the following weeks that took some time coordinating schedules, but it was always easy to get in touch with Andrew. Cosello provided, by far, the lowest cost proposal. I found his payment terms to be the most favorable, as well. The final amount of the project came out slightly higher only because of additional requests that I made and I was fully aware of an increase of price ahead of time. The only complaint I have is that after the floors were sanded down, a layer of wood dust was left on all surfaces of the apartment. I had to wipe down and vacuum all the shelves, blinds, surfaces myself. The place was empty when the work started and mid-way I had to move my belongings in, so I understand Cosello might have been rushed to get the floors done before the furniture came in - not having time to clean up the wood dust. Other than that, it was a great experience, especially for the price! I highly recommend going with Cosello with this type of renovation.

We used Cosello Construction to repair the entire frame of our home where termites had destroyed the sill plate and wood frame of our house. It was a big job as it was the entire length of the house up to 6 feet on some sides. They were FANTASTIC!!! They were very professional, on time everyday, worked quickly and did great work. Best of all they were very affordable and nice to boot! I highly recommend them and plan to use them again at my new house. :)

Andrew did an EXCELLENT job on replacing the siding on my mom's house. His team was professional, talented, easy to work with and he was patient with all my emails/questions. I would definitely work with Andrew and his team again and look forward to giving him future projects and references. Thanks Andrew and to your team.

When I called to talk about replacing seven windows/storm/screens in my bedrooms and bath, Andrew came to the house with samples and brochures and sat with me, listening carefully to what I wanted to accomplish and making suggestions. He called me several days later with an estimate and told me the manufacturer he had originally suggested didn't make what I wanted so he found another (comparable; a little more expensive). He had obviously paid attention to my requirements, and we agreed to go ahead. They had to be ordered and would take several weeks to fabricate. A month later he and his team replaced the seven windows. They did a beautiful job and I am very pleased. When they left, everything was cleaned up. They took away the old extra windows and screens stashed in the garage. He even came back later when I ran into a little problem operating one. Andrew answered the phone in person every time I called, and was very considerate in setting times for his arrival, even calling once to let me know he was running a little late. I would highly recommend him and his team for the quality of their work and their professionalism.

They did a great job, but it was a while before the services were completed from the time of the estimate. When we finally scheduled a date, it rained and it took a while before it was rescheduled.

Andrew gave me an estimate and we struck a contract. He measured and ordered the windows and few weeks later they came in. Cosello actually called me a couple weeks before my install date and said they could come earlier and put them in which ws great, and they get them in before we expected. They did a great job. Andrew was great to work with. The craftsmanship and quality is obvious on the work they did - very well done, lots of attention to detail! We would use Cosello again.

We were very pleased with Andrew and appreciated his creative solutions that resulted in a beautiful functional bathroom. We wanted a first floor bathroom that would be appropriate for our older parents who visit us and beautiful too. He was professional and his team was very nice to work with and very neat. We would recommend him to others and will use him again for future remodeling projects.

The estimate was fair and well underneath a few others we received and the completion was as promised. They were meticulous and efficient

We needed new windows so I figured this was the best time to utilize my Angies List account so I searched for contractors and came across Cosello Construction. Their reviews are fantastic and they have been Super Service Award winners for a few years so it was a no brainer to pick up the phone and call. To my surprise, someone picked up right away. In the past, whenever I needed to call a contractor I've never gotten a live person or if I left a message no one returned my call - this owner is very accessible. So I was happy to hear Andrew the owner on the other end of the call. I explained to him what we needed done and that we'd like for him to come out and provide an estimate. Andrew went ahead and scheduled the estimate for that week. He came out to our home the day of the estimate on time and we discussed the windows in depth. He explained the different types of products and manufacturers and took his time measuring the windows. We felt comfortable with him already and were anxious to see his proposal. A few days later I received the estimate via email. Everything was in line with our discussion and we were pleased with the bottom line. I called Andrew to accept and he came right back out to finalize the project. We were told the windows would take 4-6 weeks to be completed and after a few weeks we received a call to schedule the install. Everything we were told from beginning to end was accurate. The day of the install was a breeze. Andrew and his guys were extremely polite, well mannered, and considerate of my home. I am very pleased with my new windows and the fact that I now have a good, honest contractor I can call for all of our home remodeling needs.

I called this company last week to see if I could get an estimate for some work I needed to get done to my home that occurred during the hurricane. I explained to the guy on the phone that I have damage on the inside of my home and I have no idea if the insurance company is allowing me enough money to get the work done. At that point his tone immediately changed. He asked me if I was just going to be using them as a quote or if I really wanted to get work done. I told him I ABSOLUTELY need to get the work done. I should have known at that point this was going to be a less than pleasant experience. My appointment was scheduled for 11am on Saturday. At 10:30am I got a phone call from the same rude individual I had originally talked to telling me they were going to have to cancel my appointment because they just booked a big job and would not be taking on any more projects. Really? Like I really believe they just booked a big job a half an hour before my appt. Give me a break. He could have had the decency to call me the day before so I was not sitting around waiting to start my day. I guess I should have not told the truth that I am looking for multiple estimates. Isn't that what most homeowners do? Not only do I need the work done that was damaged but ultimately I am looking for an entire kitchen remodel as well. I can tell you I will NOT be hiring Cosello for ANY work that I need EVER! RESPONSE to Cosello Response: Yes I did inform you that work had just been done and finished a few months prior by a family member and I told you I was not hiring the family member again. (who is a licensed contractor btw) I am an honest person and I was honest with what I was looking for. I am looking for a new contractor to repair the damages and I need estimates to give to the insurance company. I was honest by telling you all of this. Morally of the story, YOU did not believe me and thought it would not be worth your time so you lost a potential customer and I have no problem posting on here about it. Your last statement about being honest and fair is completely false. You were NOT honest or fair by cancelling at the last minute by lying to say you booked a big job and could not take on any more work. Hopefully people will know not to call Cosello since you have such a big job you will be too busy to take on their project.

Overall we were very pleased with the work of Andrew and his team. They always arrived on time, worked as neatly as possible, and respected the fact that we were living in the house during this renovation. This being our only bathroom, they set up a temporary shower for us in our basement. The few issues that came up were handled promptly and to our satisfaction. For example, this project involved a lot of intricate tile work in the shower. There was one 18x18 tile that was not flush with the wall. They took the time to explain the issue and potential solutions, and ultimately fixed it to our satisfaction.

He did good work and was very prompt. He estimated that it would take 2 days and finished in 2.5 days. I feel I got good value and appreciated his prompt service. The last two contractors I used for doors did not do the work to my satisfaction so I was glad to see this work finished well quickly.

Anthony Cosello Construction Co. installed sliding patio doors with blinds installed between the panes of glass. It included brushed nickel hardware and a sliding screen. They communicated promptly and showed up on time to install the door. They did a very professional job and did a few extra things to make sure the install was perfect. They cleaned up the area when done and were very respectful of our home.

Andrew Cosello and his employees were most courteous, worked diligently, cleaned up each day until the job was completed. I would highly recommend them to everyone. They do excellent work.

Everything went very well. Andrew and his team worked quickly and did great work. The stucco work dragged out for almost 2 weeks (rather than 3 days). Some of the delay due to weather. Minor inconvenience really, since it was exterior work. I would highly recommend Andrew. I had 2 other GC's bid the job and his price was the best.

He was very prompt and good at the front end. We decided to put an extra one in and he gave us an estimate. He continued not to come for months. He did come and put it in. The first assistant did wonderful work and clean up. The seond assistant wasn't as good.

Andrew Cosello responded promptly, assisted in solution of front door style. Communicated and scheduled installation when custom door was completed by MFR. Arrived and installation on scheduled date. Follow up with installation of lock set.

Andrew and his team did good work. They thoroughly cleaned up every day, and they paid attention to details. They came every day until the job was finished. The sunroom looks great.

Our condo at the shore (built in the '60's) was in dire need of rehab. Having lived w/1964 linoleum and old cabinets/fixtures etc. for 10 years we said 'life is short' and decided to have the work done. About 4 years ago we had Cosello Construction do work at our home in the city. I am extremely fussy about responsiveness and punctuality, and of course most importantly, quality of work. We would not call anyone else to do work at our home but Cosello Construction. We are SO pleased with the results! Cosello Construction listened to our wants and needs, gave us suggestions, listened to our desire to keep costs at a certain level, were professional and courteous throughout the project. I feel as tho we are in a brand new condo! The results are amazing and we're so happy.

gest I have been in my home for 29 years and have delt with a lot of contractors in my day, but Cosello Construction were the best The people Mr. Cosello has working for him do quilty work they are very neat . I would have this company do work for me again. Andrew the owner gave great suggestions and my deck is beautiful. Mr. Cosello is one of the most honest contractors I ever delt with.

They were very knowledgeable, professional, explained everything to me, and sent me a written estimate. I just haven't made up my mind yet, about what I'm going to do. This house has new duct-work and no air conditioning. It is an older home. It's a big job and that's why I haven't made up my mind yet. When he came in the house, I went through everything I had asked for, he left some things out of the written estimate, it wasn't included in the estimate, and that happened a couple of times. When I asked him about it, he said the estimate doesn't include that. I just want a written estimate including "everything" I've asked for in our discussion. I give them high ratings and may use them in the future.
