+ 0 moreI scheduled an appointment to remedy nonfunctional outlets and light fixtures in my home. Jason and his accomplice were both punctual and professional. He listened to my issues room by room and level. They immediately got to work starting with the lower level area because that was most important to me. They kept me informed about what their findings each step of the way and the probable reasons why it caused the problem. I have children and was concerned about the safety of the electrical problems but was assured that the electricity in my home, though older, was not a fire hazard or otherwise dangerous. In addition, Jason recommended that he change some of the older switches in both of the electrical panels, which he did, and ensured all my many questions were answered. He was able to change the lights in my kitchen and recommend the type of fixture I could purchase to get the best use of my kitchen lighting. He also repaired a light in the staircase that I did not ask him to! He changed light switches and covers that needed changing. The last thing I asked was for an estimate on placing recessed lighting in the finished basement, installing ceiling fixtures in the bedrooms where none exist, and replacing some of the older fixtures in my home. I thought the estimate was reasonable and plan to use them for the work when I am ready to proceed. I have high standards for contractors and I was pleased with the service and the price. I was additionally pleased that they were able to come to my home and resolve the electrical issues only 2 days before Christmas!

+ 0 moreWe found Jason Klein Electrical Contractor on Angie's List and were concerned about using someone we did not know. Angie's List did its job as they were incredible. We have had recent negative experiences with contractors but Jason proved himself to be honest, ethical and brilliant. He worked with me and my wife to select the right generator and managed installation diligently until completed and up and running. What we admire most about the company is their ability to listen and attention to detail. They figure out ways around our problems (an electric stove), and navigated through the town approval process without incident. In my home maintenance experience I can only think of one contractor we have used that is as top notch as Jason Klein Electrical. Consider this a raving positive review and yes we will use him in the future for his other electrical related services.

+ 0 moreIt went well, better than we expected. Ours is an older home and they took care to do the job with very minimal work to the walls. Additionally, they were able to run some of the wiring within the mantle so it is not at all visible. Altogether the attention to detail was the difference and really helped make the space much more pleasing. I'm not sure someone else would have had the same attention to detail. We would definitely use them for future electrical work. Also, they were a pleasure to work with.
Description of Work: Installed TV above fire place, including running cable and electrical and creating outlets for both in the area. Replaced 2 outlets elsewhere, installed lantern outside and cleaned up wiring in a few areas.

As they were on the site gave options for improving the wiring and balancing the load on the circuit. Eventually decided to install a new outlet and reroute one light to eliminate the load issue. Removed ceiling fan and installed recessed lights in a bedroom, repaired faulty outlets, installed recessed lights in basement and task lighting above work areas. Jason followed up afterward to ensure job was done to my satisfaction. Will use again for other lighting projects in the spring.

+ -1 moreI called Jason at 7:30am this morning and explained that I was getting a new induction stove top today and I need to upgrade my 30amp circuit to a 40amp and need a thicker gauge cable ran. Jason gave me a detailed estimate over the phone and said that they are booked for the next two weeks, but because I am getting the stove top today, he would see if he could fit me into today's schedule. Jason and Steve called throughout the day to give me updates on when they would arrive and they showed up promptly at 2:45pm when they said they would. They came in and were going to take their shoes off when I told them it wasn't necessary for the kitchen and basement. They took a quick assessment and said that they believe the job would be cheaper then described on the phone. They were very friendly and got right to work. They completed the job better then expected and were very appreciative of my business. They put everything back as it was, cleaned up and vacuumed with their own portable vacuum. I didn't expect them to come out the same day and do the job perfectly for less then it was quoted. I wish all companies were like Jason and Steve. We will be using them after the new year to install a transfer switch and sub panel for a portable generator and after that to install new lighting in the basement.

The biggest concern of my project was setting up my theatre room just right. I was unaware of the the options I had with all the new technology. I was utterly surprised by all the product knowledge they had, and not to mention that they were the only contractor to give me these options. I also wanted to mention and thank them as the project went just right. Their attention to detail was outstanding, and they called me on every decision making the job completely customized to my liking.

+ -1 moreIn the process of changing a bulb in my ceiling fan kitchen light I managed to knock out power to not only the light but the refrigerator and a another bank of lights. I called Jason around 8 PM on a Friday night, and he and his brother Steven arrived within 30 minutes. He checked the circuit board and tested all the breakers and found the problem. I also asked him to remove a bulb which we were unable to remove. They were polite, professional and I not only will call them in the future if I need any electrical work done, but I will recommend them to my friends.
Description of Work: Restored power to my refrigerator and my kitchen lights. Also removed a bulb that I was unable to remove.

Since it is an old home and because of the place where I wanted the light switch I decided to have a wireless switch installed. I decided to move forward with the bid and ordered the parts. The parts were in backorder therefore it took a few weeks. Jayson and brother kept me informed of the status and called me to set up appointment when the part arrived. The installation went well and the switch and light are working perfectly. They provided an excellent customer service and even more imporatnt the work was done well. I would recommed them!

+ 0 moreJason did a great job. From the first phone call, he was helpful and professional. During the estimate, he spent an hour with us, walking through each room and answering all of our questions. We really got the impression that he was honest and hard working and would do a great job. We hired him to do the job and were not disappointed. He arrived to complete the work when he said he would and throughout the whole process he kept us informed of what he was working on and any problems he encountered. He wasn't able to finish the job as quickly as he hoped, but scheduled another day to finish the job and came back when he said he would. He was professional throughout. We definitely recommend Jason and we will use him again for future work.

+ 1 more-A home visit bid date was set up but cancelled by the company because they said they did not have time to come and give the bid in person. Jason, the owner then asked to be given a detailed explanation of the work to be completed. It was very basic. He felt it was not problem so he gave a verbal bid. -He and his crew showed up promptly but to our surprise with 4 people as opposed to the 2 that we were told would come. -not prepared to the work even though we described the level of work needed so 2 of the crew left to get supplies for at least an hour. They wanted to charge us for this time at Home Depot getting supplies. - He says that he never carries supplies for a job for until he sees the job for he says he never knows what supplies he will be needing. -He said that other electrical companies cannot be carrying supplies they may be needing for how do they know what they supplies will need until they start the work. -2 of the people left behind, did not have anything to do, but we were charged for their time anyway. -My husband had forgotten what the verbal bid was that had been given to me which I did figure sounded low, so it would not be a surprise if the work completed was a little higher price. - We had also gotten another bid from another electrical company so we were familiar with pricing. -So when I returned from work and my husband told me the price Jason charged, I was so very disappointed and angry for the amount Jason ended up charging was over double the verbal bid I had received from him and more than the prior bid I had received from another electrical company. - the bid I had already received from another electrical company included more work than Jason was asked to do. I had omitted a few things for I had wanted to save some money. - In discussion with Jason after I found what an exorbitant amount he had charged, he kept us on the phone, my husband and then me for 2 hours trying to justify his pricing, even accusing the other company we had received the bid from that they were not as competent. We never told him the name of the company. -He used his mother as an example of someone who thought the price he gave us was correct. She is not an electrician or has never saw or has been to our house. -He said he would refund us some money and he never did. -NEVER in 35 years have we been so taken by a contractor or any business.

Jason consulted with me on every decision, whether it was regarding location, height, or where I wanted the light to shine. Description of Work: Jason Klein Electrical Contracting was the second contractor to give me an estimate on the landscape lighting that I wanted done in my backyard. I chose Jason mainly because of the time he spent with me to look at the work I needed to me done. He bounced many ideas and products off me to help me find the best solution and stay within my budget. Not only that, the same day, he sent me an email with all the different lighting manufacturers so I could do my own research and see what I liked the most. Also, I was pretty set on having certain lights in certain locations. Jason advised that some of the locations would not be a good idea because the lights would shine directly in our eyes because of where we sit and entertain in the backyard at night. He told me that he would still be able to light up the same areas.

+ 2 moreThe entire project went perfect. I could not be more pleased. It completely exceeded my expectations. Jason and his crew were polite, neat, and most importantly showed up on time. Jason also provided us with some other great ideas that we are considering in the future. We really want those LED under-cabinet lights in our kitchen. Not much more to say, price was right, work was meticulous, crew was great. We are so thankful to Jason. I would recommend him to everyone.
Description of Work: We just moved into our new home a few months ago and finally decided to tackle a bunch of much needed electrical projects. It was quite the laundry list. We got prices from 3 other electricians. Jason's pricing was very competitive, and after meeting him we knew he was the right choice. For starters we needed a new 200 amp electrical service. Both the home inspector and Jason spoke of the danger of my existing Federal Pacific Panel. He was very knowledgeable and patient in laying out all our different options for us. In the end we decided to get a panel with generator transfer switch built in. We are planning to buy a portable generator in the near future. Jason also replaced all the outlets and switches in our home with those new fancy rocker style ones. They really look great and made a huge difference to the look of our house. Jason added numerous recessed lights in the bedrooms, a couple ceiling fans through-out the house, and replaced an old bath exhaust fan. We were so pleased that he was able to complete the installations with minimal damage to sheet rock and paint. This was actually a huge savings. Some of the the other electricians said they would need to cut many holes to get the wire around. I don't know how he did it. Jason also replaced all our bathroom outlets new gfi's. He suggested that we replace the outdoor outlets also which we did. We had Jason hang 3 flat screen TV's and hide all the equipment in closets and furniture. They look amazing. There are no visible wires, no holes to repair, and everything operates seamlessly from a single remote. Its awesome. Jason was able to save me considerable money here because he was able to take care of all the programming himself. All the other contractors seemed a little uncomfortable with this portion of the installation. I was advised to reach out to an audio/video specialist for this. That was a HUGE cost savings. Jason replaced two outdoor spot lights with motion sensors, and two front door coach lights. The last tricky project that he accomplished was to give us some new circuits around the house. We kept tripping our breakers throughout our home. Jason carefully checked all the breakers and noticed that a few were near there max, so when i would use a vacuum or my wife would use a hairdryer they would be overloaded. He ran new wires to these area and gave us more capacity. We haven't tripped a breaker since. This project required snaking wire all around our home. Jason's approach was well thought out always keeping in mind the additional cost to us for patching and painting.
