I recently got a home inspection done by DIR Home . John, the owner, was very knowledgable and personable. I felt like I knew him. He answered every question I had, and I had a lot!!! I loved how he used his drone to check our roof to see if there were any defects. I would highly recommend him and use his company again in the future.

Very well. John arrived promptly on time, was very friendly and helpful, giving clear explanations of what he was looking at as we went through the house, flagging potential concerns and giving constructive suggestions on how to address them. This was followed up with a very clear and thorough report that was delivered promptly, as well as practical advice on how to proceed with the purchase. The entire process could not have gone any better.

John at DIR was very good to work with. Very thorough with an attention to detail. He explained everything he looked at and explained them to me so I understood. He made sure I was aware of the major concerns before he left the house. He even spoke too my contractor as we are planning to renovate as soon as we move in. Thanks Again.

John was a great home inspector. This was the first time we'd purchased a house, so we had a lot of questions. He walked us through the house as he went, answering everything we asked. He was very friendly and professional, and made us feel more comfortable knowing what the problems with the house would be. The report was returned very quickly after the inspection, and when the seller was arguing particular points, John was extremely helpful in amending the report to emphasize the problem under discussion. He also was able to help we had questions about what a reasonable cost to repair might be. Overall, we had a really great experiencing working with John, and I would definitely hire him again.

John Doering, the home inspector who operates DIR Home Inspections, was really good at walking around the property, asking questions and providing a pretty complete explanation of whatever I asked about as he toured my home for the inspection. He clearly separated things that were important to do from things that were less important, and that allowed me to schedule a few repairs and fix-ups/maintenance jobs in good weather. For one or two maintenance activities where I was considering a pretty costly replacement or repair, he suggested ways to tackle them that turned out to be much less expensive and complicated. His background in construction gives him great ability to distinguish situations that may have some structural significance from those that only require some cosmetic improvement. John was a pleasure to deal with -- his advice onsite plus his written report were excellent!

John was fantastic! He was extraordinarily thorough, pointing out things that my boyfriend will need to budget for in the near and not-so-near future. He was very knowledgeable and took his time answering every question asked, there were a lot! At the conclusion of the inspection, John's professional opinion helped us feel confident my boyfriend is making the right decision to move forward with the home purchase. Based off of his report, the seller agreed to fix everything my boyfriend requested! Prior to closing we will have him come back to check all seller repairs to ensure that they have been satisfactorily completed.

I bought the locks and he put them on; it was a package deal. The experience was good; the locks worked good and everything.

This was a big deal purchase. The guy that came had been here before. He set up disabled for me. When he was here before he put locks on my doors. It was a good experience and he was good. He did good on the estimate.

John is awesome! My husband and I recently closed on our very first home purchase and we hired John for the inspection. He got there on time, was thorough and extremely pleasant. He let us follow him around, encouraged questions and gave out valuable advice. His report was detailed and returned to us in a timely manner. The night before we were set to close on the home, we had some news that there may have been a leak in the basement. We got in touch with John on the 11th hour and he showed up at our walk through the very next day! He refused payment and wished us the best. The inspector was GREAT. He was very knowledgeable and paid close attention to all the details of the house. The house is a bit older and he communicated all of the upgrades suggested to bring it up to code. We would highly recommend DIR Home Inspections!!!!!!

Arrived early, was very thorough & honest with his inspection, took time to explain every little detail and answer every question I had, and was overall very pleasant to be around. Was extremely patient, especially with me being a first time home buyer. Detailed, printed report was also very thorough, clean, and organized. Even after the inspection was completed and services were paid for, John took time out of his day to speak with me over the phone weeks later regarding a particular part of his inspection.
