John was incredibly knowledgeable and took his time going through every detail on the home inspection. He noticed tiny things that other surely would have missed. He used a drone to examine the roof, which saved time and was safer than having a person go on the roof, but got just as good information. The seller was also present and John was very professional in not discussing any of his findings within her hearing, only giving the information to me. As a first time home buyer, I was nervous and he made sure to describe everything to me in detail and explain how everything within the house worked. Even my realtor was impressed and she has been in the business for years! He sent the report quickly and it was very thorough. His services were more pricey than other quotes I got, but I felt the results were well worth the money I spent. He also works with a septic company and oil tank sweep company, both of which were included in the price I paid. I liked that he took care of arranging with those companies to come at the same time as he was doing our home inspection.

John was great. He walked us through the inspection and described everything he was seeing, along with tips about what to look out for in the future. He also provided a very detailed report.

I first found John (DiR Home Consulting) last summer on Angie's list and decided to contact because of his reviews and pricing. John was incredibly thorough, careful, and helpful. As he went through the inspection, he took the time to explain and point out various issues, including the important ones to take care of before closing. His report was also very detailed and clear, which made it very easy to present back to the sellers and request repairs. I liked John's services so much that this year, I had him do two more home inspections for investment purchases. One of the inspections was for an older house, and I should note that the roof hatch was sealed but John had a Drone that he flew over the house to take high-quality video and photos of the roof! Again, for this home inspection, John was able to identify a number of issues and provide a clear, detailed report that helped us in the negotiation process with the sellers. Finally, I thought John's manner was friendly, considerate, and highly professional. He was responsive and easy to schedule with. Also, I had gotten some price quotes from other home inspectors, and John's prices were among the best. I would highly recommend John and DiR Home Consulting to anyone!

He was extremely thorough and took the time to explain everything he was doing. He also found a hidden beam which exposed a past structural issue that the previous homeowners were unaware of (their inspector never caught it as it was hidden in the drop ceiling). In addition, I had been burned in the past by an inspector unwilling to thoroughly inspect the roof, but John uses a drone to take detailed pictures of the entire roof and analyzes them. Overall, this was a great experience and I would definitely recommend John and use him again if I ever move.

John did a good job in explaining the various checks and issues found during the inspection. he also had many suggestions on what should/could be fixed before listing the house on sale and how it might affect/not affect the price, etc. Overall a pretty good experience and i would recommend him for the services he provides.

John was very responsive and he was on time for the inspection. He was up-to-date with technology advances in his inspection with drones and explained all questions in detail. I highly recommend John and his company and would certainly use them again if necessary.

I'm so glad we went with John and DIR for our home inspection. They were very thorough and took the time to explain everything along the way. There was nothing on the final report that I didn't already know from talking with John during the walkthrough, and the detail on the report was sufficient enough that we were just able to send the whole thing to the sellers and have the few issues found corrected. The B on the price is because DIR is sightly more expensive than the competition you see here. With John, you definitely get what you pay for. If the category were "value" instead of "price" then it'd be an easy A+.
