Description of Work: I had several smaller handyman jobs lined up around the house and John knocked them all out very quickly (replacing a light fixture, removing and replacing caulk around a tub, replacing latches so that cabinet doors stay closed). He is very professional and does great quality work. We have already scheduled to have him back.

Description of Work: 2 hours of handyman service for $99.00, an Angie's List promotion. It was a great way to meet a great handyman. John completed several smaller jobs for us and answered all of my questions thoroughly. He was very professional and knowledgeable and completed the jobs quickly. I will definitely call on him again in the future. Glad to have found such a great handyman so easily!

Description of Work: John was punctual, personable, and professional. He fixed my storm door, two toilets, and made an adjustment to the garage door so that it doesn't shake, rattle and roll anymore. I would definitely use his services in the future.

Description of Work: I paid the initial $95.00. I paid an additional $160.00 for 2 more hours which was with 20%off. It is just high of a rate for handyman service. I can understand $50.00 hour. But, I cannot afford such a high rate for handyman services in the future. I have found a reasonable handyman which I feel is fair.

Description of Work: Installed a wall electrical socket. Requested work on second plug not completed. Disappointed in that portion of the job. Two hours was the contract, however it was less than two. It wasn't because I wasn't prepare. Overall I would rate this service as fair

Description of Work: installed new doorbell, repaired railing, installed outdoor lamp bulb. Quick and good.

Description of Work: John was very knowledgeable and expertisely fixed and installed everything I requested.

Description of Work: John tackled a number of items around the house that I needed to get addressed that I either couldn't do myself or just didn't have time to do recently. This included installing a new (insulated) attic stairwell, painting some new doors and around bay window, and repair some damage from an old leak. John was friendly and professional and did a thorough, high quality job. He kept me appraised of any issues and options and took care of some additional unexpected items. The only thing less than perfect was it ended up taking a handful of appointments to complete the job for a variety of reasons - another job running long, my job running long and needing to leave before completion, and weather than ideal for painting. While I would have rather gotten it done in fewer rounds, I appreciate that he wants to get it done right even if it takes another visit.

Description of Work: My closet shelving fell down, and I wasn't sure how much time/effort it would take. He said he'd show up to take a look before going to another job. He and his assistant came before the agreed upon time, which was fine, and it turned out he fixed the shelving there and then, in about 20-30 minutes. He did it quickly and was in a hurry to get to his next appointment. At the door, I asked if he would be back to help me with anything else (I have a drywall project in the basement), and he smiled and said that he completed my job, and if I called him again he'd give me "a good price." The reason I purchased this "deal" was because 3 hours for $119 is a bargain. As it was, I got 25 minutes for $119. This is the 3rd time I've used an Angie's list "deal" and been disappointed. I love to support community businesses, and I love a good deal, but so far, not so good. If Angie's List or the Handyman in question can offer me a free 2 1/2 hours of handyman service, which I am owed, I will revise my review. As it stands, although my closet is fixed, I'm very disappointed.
