Chatham Whirlpool Repair

THIS SEEMS TO BE A SCAM OR A VERY POORLY RUN "BUSINESS." An internet search for Whirlpool and appliance repair comes up with a number and address from supposedly Chatham, New Jersey: 650 Shunpike Rd, Chatham, Tel. 973.453-3595. They also show up on Angie's List since 2013. Thinking it was a legitimate business, I gave them my credit card to do a $50 service call for a dishwasher I have in a rental property in Chatham for a 4-6pm time slot. I confirmed it this afternoon around 5pm as nobody had called and my tenant was going to leave work early to be there. They confirmed it. After 6pm, when they did not show up and when I called they said the order had been cancelled because no technician wanted it and that I had supposedly been informed by voice mail at 2pm ( I was not). I asked for details of the company, such as website, location, and to speak with a supervisor, and they gave me numbers that go into voice mail and never an address. They said they do not have an address, but have 35 locations (none of which they would say where they were). Apparently, they also go by the name The Appliance Repairman. They have no website. The business does not show up in the Better Business Bureau.
