Description of Work: we had definite differences in shower, pockets in the shower, the actual cost, never decreased cost for not using his drawings, but mine from an architect-where all around said I won't be responsible for his drawings if something is wrong-you will foot the bill for set backs. I personally had nightmares-he rewrote the contract, and still didn't have it correct. I was not comfortable. Had to text him many times to get jobs he had done. I do not want my name used.

Description of Work: Michael has done several jobs for me. For each project he provided a comprehensive estimate and contract - I was impressed with the amount of detail and the accuracy of his estimates - there were no surprises. He took my damp unfinished basement and turned it into useable living space. He installed new windows, finished the walls and ceiling. Next he put a sidewalk from the driveway to the back of the house and a large patio using great pavers. Throughout the process he made recommendations and the job turned out even better than I had hoped. He redirected down spouts from the gutters and made them almost invisible. Once that was done, I wanted a 50 year old bathroom redone. We discussed options and again, his advise was great. He completely gutted the room, updated the electric and plumbing, tiled and painted.

Description of Work: the above price was basically for labor only.Mike theowner was on the job daily.He did some of the work himself.We were extremely pleased with his work his attitute and his sub-contractors and his price.I had priced the job with three contractors and his was most reasonable.I had never heard of him or his work just got his name from Angies.Any delays were because of the materials we had ordered from third parties that were at times delayed.We are very pleased with the end results and would not hesitate to use Mike in the future.

Description of Work: Called them to enquire about a bath remodel in Bridgewater on a Tuesday and left them a message. I got a phone call back on the same day that evening from someone enquiring about the job and how they can be a one stop-shop and they can help us design the bathroom we want. However, I told him that we had already picked out everything we want, we have the look in mind and would oly need labor. At this he mentioned that it was even better this way and he will talk to the person who is going to do the work and get back to me later that day or on the next day and get started ASAP. It is now over a week and I haven't yet heard back. Probably, when they called they thought there was a lot of $$$ involved, but on finding that all I needed was labor he realized that we were not such a big fish that he had hoped and therefore did not return our call. Anyways, it was extremely unprofessional and left a very bad taste in the mouth.

Description of Work: I am a DIYer who knows his limits. So in planning my kitchen renovation this past summer I knew that a few things were beyond my skills, strength or energy level. Specifically I needed the installation of a structural flush beam, additional framing, and drywall/spackling. I contacted Michael after seeing his stellar reviews on Angie’s List. He was able to come by the next day to start an estimate. Within a few days he emailed me a detailed quote and contract with full outline of the job and payment schedule. His price was very fair and was less than the other estimates I got. I hired him.

Description of Work: Michael was great to work with from beginning to end. We have a 90 year old house and needed to renovate the main bathroom which hadn't been touched since the house was built. Michael listened to my ideas and explained how they could or could not work. When the project started, some hiccups came up like the floor structure was not that strong and dealing with old pipes. Between his crew and his plumber, everything was handled professionally. It was nice to see such focus on trying to get "things right." Something rare nowadays. After the structure was improved upon, Michael's strength in tiling really came out. We had him tile most of the room. He has a great eye in offering decorative ways of laying the tile and incorporating other tiles for accent. The project took only 3 days longer than promised. Better yet I have a bathroom that is going to last for ages because it is well built.

Description of Work: Michael came out 2 times in order to give me an estimate because another contractor had screwed up. I was about to use him but the other contractor finally showed up.

Description of Work: Michael was indeed a breath of fresh air! First I had called several masons from our local paper & the yellow pages. They came late, verbally quoted one amount but sent a written estimate for another amount or didn't respond. Then remembered about Angie's List. Michael came to look at our foundation for repairs both outside & in the basement as well as the sidewalk leading up to the house.. Before he wrote an estimate, he came back with his mason. He returned with the written estimate, very detailed & itemized, and we agreed that everything had been included. The workers started by repairing the outside of the foundation. It looks wonderful - like a brand new foundation. Next came the front walk - again a beautiful job. They even reseeded along the edges of the new walk. Finally, the real mess, the inside basement walls. They were in horrible condition. The crew power wire brushed the walls of the basement - when I came home from work, the dust was billowing out the basement windows! But they cleaned up extremely well. After two days of prep work, the walls were washed down & allowed to dry. The men were extremely neat & cleaned up everything. Michael was also on the job everyday to supervise. After the walls dried, they were repaired, sealed and them repainted with waterproof paint. What a beautiful job - better than I imagined it would come out. Last, the basement floor was scrubbed, allowed to dry & painted. Our sump pump was acting up so I asked Michael to purchase a new heavy-duty commercial one. He took it apart twice & said it wasn't the pump. We had a good one. We agreed that it was probably the pipe leading to the street. So Michael & one of his men dug it up. (When we had had french drains put in previously, the company used PVC pipe.) The new PVC pipe was fine but it was attached to an ancient iron pipe that had deteriorated to the point that it had holes throughout it. So the pipe was replaced, run under the sidewalk and into the storm drain on the street and the sidewalk repaired like new. I was thrilled that Michael only charged us for the materials for that additional work. I highly recommend All Around Renovations. Michael is honest & fair, reliable and has a great crew. He supervises his work daily & isn't afraid to get dirty pitching in on the job.

Michael was always responsive, I was always able to talk to him and get quick a call back. The project took longer than planned but was not that bad. Michael was very professional, he disclose what was included and what was not and provided quick quotes on additional work.

Description of Work: Built an addition; an attached, over-sized 2-car garage with connecting breezeway. Converted existing 2-car garage into bedroom with walk-in closet and a family room. Replaced electrical service. Built foundation for garage with drainage system.
