Description of Work: In the course of a total home rehab project, Kane supplied the following custom millwork: 1. Mahogany wood flooring 2. Mahogany library wall paneling and bookshelves 3. Mahogany french doors and bay window 4. Window and door trim 5. Interior doors 6. Baseboard moulding 7. Entrance hall wainscoting 8. Stairway wainscoting 9. Powder room wainscoting 10. Entrance archway

+ -1 moreAfter spending about $40,000 for 11 unfinished mahogany windows (no, that's not a typo) I had issues with several of the windows which show obvious and substantial water damage on the interior of the window sashes. This water damage manifested itself within a few months of the windows being installed, however after literally a year and a half of monthly calls, and two pointless trips out by the owner of the company to look at the windows and state "Well, that's really weird, I don't know what that could be" I still have yet to have any actual repairs or replacement done on the windows. My personal $40k spent was actually less than 10% of the total job cost for Kane's windows, which was on a historically certified building on a job run by a large contractor and architect, so if they won't even stand behind a half-a-million dollar job to address some admittedly bad windows, good luck getting them to handle your job properly.
Description of Work: Kane Woodworking made 11 solid mahogany windows for my condominium, as part of a large fire renovation of my condominium building.
