MIKE'S SPARKLE CLEANING SERVICE

Mike called to confirm the night before and gave me an approx time that woudl depend on traffic. He was on time and went straight to work. The outside windows had not been washed in over 7 years and he got them so clean I was thrilled. I have since provided his contact information to co-workers as I was very happy with the results.

Mike was a real joy to work with - very respectful, professional and helpful. He made extra effort to move items away from windows and return them. The quality of his work was excellent and he accomodated my two cats so they didn't "escape" outside. I plan on having him clean the tile floor at a later date - very pleased.

Mike did an excellent job, was prompt and efficient. In particular, our screens are clean for the first time in a long time.

There was a special deal for about $179.00. They were here ahead of time. They were here before their time. No complaints. I will use them again. I have already told them a few things that I would like for them to do.

Not only did he wash the house but he also pruned the trees back from the side of the house.

The service was rescheduled several times due to weather. When a final date was agreed to (and the weather was fine), the vendor never showed up. No communication was ever received. In addition to lack of communication, I found that the burden of communication with this vendor fell on my shoulders. As a working professional, I found this to be highly annoying especially as we paid for this service several months ago. I plan to followup with Angie's List to request a refund.

Mike was here when he told us he would be and did a fine job. He used our hoses, but didn't return them to the original faucet. All in all a good job; yes, I would use his services again; I'm wondering if he does roofs?

Excellent, had 20 windows done and within an hour and a half he was done. He returned my blinds and curtains back to how I keep them. I didn't have to do anything after he left but admire my CLEAN windows!

We didn't get to experience Mike's work - so his work may very well be excellent. In fact, this review will not have as big of an impact (per Angie's list rules) due to the fact that we haven't had the work done. Please note that Mike is very, very busy. So when you make your payment, it may be months before you can get your work done. Also, know that if another job comes up that is more convenient for him, he will cancel with you at the last minute. Read on if you want more details on our experience: We chose one of Mike's specials for window cleaning. We have more windows so we let him know we'd be adding some on. He was extremely booked so while we paid for our service in May, the first day he had available was July 7th. We jumped on that day and booked for a 12:00 - 1:00 arrival time. My husband took the day off from work which is not easy. By the night before, we hadn't heard a thing so I reached out by e-mail to confirm our appointment. He replied that he needed to change it to 10:00 a.m. This meant we needed to scramble last minute because we had a busy morning. But that's okay. We did that. However, we knew the forecast called for morning rain so that was a big concern. Sure enough, Mike called in the morning to say that due to the rain he'd need to reschedule. I explained that if we could have kept our original time slot there would be no rain in the afternoon. He said "yeah but I had a last minute job come in for an inside job this afternoon." I may be missing something but that does not sound like good business practice. I understand an emergency. But being replaced from our longstanding time slot for a new job that was more convenient was just wrong. He offered the afternoon of July 19th but unfortunately that date is not an option for us. Mike let me know that the next option will most likely be in the fall. We cannot wait until the fall and we are hoping a refund is an option. When I e-mailed Mike to explain my dissapointment and shock over being rescheduled due to a better job opportunity, he explained that he had been in business for 25 years and some people are more flexible than others. And that he's sorry I felt that way. Yes, we do have a busy schedule. Between jobs and caring for a family member with cancer, unfortunately we need someone's commitment to matter. I am sure that eventually this job could have been scheduled if we could wait till the fall. But then what if another more convenient job came up then? This was our first experience with Angie's list as well. It concerns me about other businesses on Angie's list now, which is sad. We are attempting to get a refund but I don't know if that is possible. I realize in posting this review, this may not be a big deal to some. I've had to reschedule work before - things come up. But certainly not due to a more convenient last-minute job. And when I do have to reschedule I am given priority for a date that works for me.

Service was excellent! All the windows of a two story home done in two hours! This part of the review was on me, remember to count every window the way the cleaner does. For example, I counted my living room window as one window. Since it made of a grouping of three windows, it counts as three windows. (Duh!) Same happened in the dining room and kitchen. Ended up adding windows to the job and, of course, paying more than the advertised price. With that said, would I hire Mike again? Absolutely!!! I'll probably have him come back this fall but definitely every spring....

He did a great job--everything looked much better.

In fact I'm having him come back out to do power washing next week. I think I paid him an extra $50 while he was here to do some carpet cleaning which was separate. I didn't have him do any housecleaning. He does windows and stuff, yeah he gave me his card.

This was my first interaction with Mike's Sparkle Cleaning service. Mike arrived on time on the day of our appointment and was highly organized. He was a pleasure to deal with and his service was of the highest quality. I intend to use some of his other services in the near future.
