About two weeks ago, I called Jeanne Borgers around noon to see if I could set a time for my husband and I to look at a house we had seen on houses.com. She was able to set an appointment for later that afternoon, which was awesome. We arrived a little early and looked around the lot. Five minutes late, Jackie showed up saying Jeanne was running late. I was a bit worried as I had a feeling Jeanne wasn't taking me too seriously when we talked on the phone. Jackie let us in and had us fill out the paperwork she needed, then Jeanne finally showed up. They asked us what we wanted to see, and I said "You are the agents, give us the tour and tell us what you think we need to know. We'll ask if we have questions." Yet still, they did nothing and we had to lead the tour. They said nothing unless we asked. Often we caught them exchanging high school "what~an~idiot" looks at each other when they thought we weren't looking. They never took us seriously as buyers and were very unprofessional. I had made the mistake of telling them this was the first house we had looked at, but I also told them we were looking for a buyers agent, and they both work as both buyer and seller agents, so they should have seen us as possible customers in a couple ways. I continually gave them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they were just having a bad day. However, looking back on it, the behavior was beyond unprofessional. There was even some info we asked for they didn't have at the time, and Jeanne said she would email it to me. Weeks later I have still heard nothing. There were some positives in this experience. Jeanne did clear up a few misconceptions we had as first time home buyers, and answered some questions we had. She did seem very knowledgeable, and shared that knowledge when she was asked. Both woman were very good with our 4 year old twins, who we brought with us. We are looking for a buyers agent and will then look at more homes, we want to buy this winter or summer at the latest. The house Jeanne showed us is still listed, $25,000 less then it was before, and we do like it. However, we aren't sure we want to keep it on our list because we do not want to have to do any business with Jeanne. If we don't find something we like more that is in our price range, we will have to deal with her, but I hope it does not come to that.
Description of Work: Jeanne and Jackie showed my husband and I a house we were debating buying.
