Jerry was very pleasant and repaired all that was required. His job was of high quality and worked cleanly and efficiently. I was satisfied with the workmanship and quality of the work.

I couldn't find a replacement hinge for an armoire I purchased nearly 30 years ago, since the manufacturer went out of business. I contacted Jerry Thompson Jr. and he referred me to a specialty hardware store in Philadelphia that sent the broken hinge to a forge to be repaired. Thanks to Jerry, the armoire can be saved! Jerry was kind enough and professional to refer me to this hardware store, and I would definitely recommend him for any job that needs to be done around the house.

We did not need to hire a handyman, after all. However, Jerry Thomson returned our phone call that same night and was very professional.

Jerry came to the rescue when I had a new range delivered and the installer wasn't able to connect it because of the way the outlet was hidden in this old house. He did a great job in a tight spot. He even arranged to have the old range removed the same day. Jerry also reconfigured an old Sauder entertainment center I needed adjusted to add a new larger flat screen TV. All this was accomplished in one visit. I certainly would recommend Jerry and will hire him again.

Contacted Jerry about an estimate on painting and pressure washing my large wood deck. Called me back promptly and came early morning the next day. Didn't try to sell me on repairing issues with the deck which weren't that big a deal, gave me advice on other chores I needed to address on my property and explained in detail what would be involved in restoring my wood deck. Would have definitely hired him but the wife wants us to try our hand again at restoring the deck on our own :(

Jerry referred me to Greg Simpkins as he was going on vacation. Greg did a great job of installing 9 new bedroom and closet doors, some which needed customizing. He installed a beautiful new granite countertop for the vanity, new mirror, pocket door and light fixture. The bathroom looks brand new. He even went to the trouble of rerouting the pipe under the sink to a center sink which looks great. Pulled up tile at front door and sanded, stained and finished the hardwood floor. Greg was very friendly and professional, always let me know what time he would arrive and cleaned up everything every day before leaving. The job went terrific, really happy how everything turned out. Definitely would recommend Greg for any job you have.

Jerry was very prompt at responding to inquiries and always showed up on time. Once he started my job he worked until it was completed (he didn't jump around from job to job in the middle).

Jerry, did great job again for us. He was able to fit us into his schedule quickly. He fixed our shower tile, grout, calked and sealed, installed 2 bathroom light fixtures, and spackled and patched few areas of drywall. Jerry is a reliable contractor, shows up and communicates very well with his status updates sending us pics of everything as he completes his work. This is the 3rd time we have used his services and we would definitely recommend him for most household handy work.

Jerry informed me that calls were only returned after 7pm on work days and my first reach out call to schedule an appt, was returned on the weekend. I interviewed others who showed up the day I called but ultimately, Jerry had some notions about how he'd handle the job rather than just going by what I said, which gave me more confidence in him. He estimated the job to be 2 hours but it was more than double that on the first of 3 days total work @ $75 hr. He offers a discount for AngieList customers but, on Day 2 was told it was on days where the work went over 4 hours. He did offer to give me a discount on Day 2, even tho he worked 90 mins and he actually did give me the discount without asking on Day 3's work. Jerry listens to suggestions and than offers his own. Over 3 days, most of his was spot on, and when he did accept my recommendation, he admitted that it turned out better than expected. He arrived always promptly and finished either on the hour or the half hour. He cleaned up everyday and took photos to show me the progress. He does play music when he works which some neighbors may find distracting in the morning. Overall, Jerry is a very conscientious worker, always making sure you approve each step of the process, and I'd hire him again.

Jerry is one of kind. He’s very responsive, practical, reasonable and honest. I’ve dealt with many contractors and most will tell you anything to ensure they “get the job”, even if nothing needs to be done. Jerry, on the other hand, showed me how to complete the job myself :o) And would’ve been totally content if I said, okay I don’t need your services. This guy genuinely cares about his craft, and reputation and takes his business and clients very seriously. I’ve already scheduled him to come out again. Jerry came to the house to give me an estimate on several items I needed repaired or painted, and ultimately recommended that his colleague Greg Simpkins do the work. Greg gave me a very reasonable price on a list of about 15 things that included putting down a vinyl floor in the laundry room, painting over wallpaper in the bathroom, repairing a basement water leak, and fixing some garage weather stripping. He ended up being in the house a bit over two weeks in total, and was a pleasure to have working there. He was very reliable, always cleaned up at the end of the day, and everything he worked on came out great. I would definitely hire him again for anything I needed in the house!

It went fine. Came the day after I called. Had to leave to get parts but job was done in a timely manner.

Jerry did excellent work putting a pass through in my dining room wall. He also did tile work that helped remodeling my bathrooms. He showed up on time and worked non stop through the day. I was very pleased with the work Jerry did and he was neat and cleaned up each day. I was particularly impressed with his ability to keep drywall sanding dust contained. Jerry does really great work with drywall. This is the second job I’ve had him do where a ceiling needed to be repaired. Both times he did a great job! He keeps the mess contained and the repairs are just as clean.

Gerry was on time knowledgeable and professional his rates are very reasonable and he didn’t try to nickel and dime us in fact he was actually up front about not doing part of the job in our house when he could have done it anyway and collected more money because of his upfront honesty and technical abilities we will be having him back in the very near future for a bigger job than the one he did today Gerry is friendly and knows his stuff I would definitely recommend to anyone thanx
