During one of the coldest weeks of the winter, our heater stopped working. It would turn on and you could hear it running, but cold air was coming out of our vents instead of warm air, and eventually the heater would just shut off because apparently the pilot was not igniting into a full flame. I gave John Cherry a call, and in an attempt to help save me some time and money, he was able to walk me through a few steps over the phone so I could try to fix the problem myself. His advice worked and our heater was back up and running. Unfortunately, two days later, it stopped working again. It was a Friday night at 6 p.m. when I got home from work to an ice cold house, and John was planning to go away for the weekend so I thought I was out of luck. I was ready to spend the weekend bundled up with blankets until John returned on Monday and was able to come fix things. However, I called him up anyway, hoping he could help me with another quick/temporary fix over the phone. He realized the problem was more serious than we initially thought and insisted on coming over. He made a special trip to my house on a Friday night when he was supposed to be enjoying some time off and he was able to fix the heater for good. It turns out that it was clogged up with water due to years of not draining properly. It was a very messy and intense job, but he got it done relatively quickly and left us with a warm house. We haven't had a problem with the heater since. I would absolutely recommend John - he truly knows what he is doing, and he does excellent work and extremely competitive prices.
