Julian was a pleasure to deal with. He was very responsive, knowledgeable and honest. He installed vinyl plank flooring throughout my second level (kitchen, dining room and living room). He is meticulous and does a great job. He was extremely helpful by providing suggestions that were great. His pricing is fair for the amount of work that he does. I was really unsure about the vinyl plank flooring but Julian helped me understand the benefits of this type of floor when it comes to being water resistant and durable for pet owners. The floors look wonderful! I would highly recommend using Julian for your flooring needs.

From my initial meeting with until my floor installation was complete Julian was always professional ,courteous and extremely hard working .I wanted to put laminate flooring over old and very squeaky hardwood floors in my living room and dining room. He took the time to explain in detail flooring choices ,laminate vs vinyl etc. , as well as what he could do to quiet the squeaking that was driving me crazy. He was very helpful offering alternative ideas on how to best complete my project right down to the direction of laying the planks. I decided on vinyl flooring as per his recommendation and it all turned out even better than I could have imagined! Julian and his nephew Mike arrived on time and diligently worked through the day to complete the project. They were extremely neat and very considerate of my furniture while moving it to complete the work. Both rooms look amazing and the squeaking has been muffled considerably. I would hire Julian again in a heartbeat! And I will when I replace the flooring in my kitchen. This was a triple A job and I would highly recommend Julian Craig to anyone who wants to hire a qualified professional who does high quality work.

Without doubt, Julian has been my favorite contractor. He came to my home, gave me an estimate, and scheduled the work. Julian and a helper came on the scheduled day and completed the entire job in 1 1/2 days (slightly less than estimated). The job came in slightly under his estimate, which had included certain contingencies. Julian and his helper quickly and expertly removed our carpet and padding and replaced it with new padding and laminate flooring. They cut up the carpet into small bundles, tied them up, and left them at the curb for our local trash service. They were very careful with our furniture, even applying felt pads beneath all pieces to protect our new floors. They cleaned up at the end of each day and were professional and polite during the entire installation. Our floors look wonderful and we are extremely satisfied with quality of the installation. We would not hesitate to use him again for any future flooring work we need done. I highly recommend Julian to anyone looking for expert flooring installation.

Julian is one of the most professional, honest and talented contractors we've ever worked with. He worked around our hectic schedules to come to our home and provide an estimate on multiple options for flooring since I couldn't decide exactly what I wanted to do in our new home. When he came out to perform the work, he walked us through exactly what he was going to accomplish each day and how long it would take so we could plan accordingly. He is extremely detail-oriented and proactively suggested alternate molding pieces to give one of our rooms a different/high-end finish. He even helped us to return several boxes of extra flooring to Home Depot on his own time - packing up the boxes into his van and accompanying us to the store to return them. Most importantly, he takes great pride in his work and repeatedly stated that if anything was to our dissatisfaction after he left, he'd come back to address it. I would highly recommend Julian for anyone's flooring needs and am hopeful we can work with him again in the coming months on flooring for our 2nd floor.

Julian was an excellent flooring contractor. He met with us several times before the actual installation to let us know about options, and performed several moisture tests to make sure the type of flooring we were getting would work with our concrete slab. We had originally intended to buy the flooring from him, but when none of the options that he had for flooring supplied by him were light enough in color, he was fine with us providing the flooring ourselves, which was wonderful. We went with LVP in the kitchen, hallway, utility room, and bathroom, and with engineered hardwood in the living room and dining room. He told us how much to order of each type and we were not left with a lot of unneeded extra boxes of flooring. The install of each went very smoothly and Julian and his assistant Mike clearly knew what they were doing. They completed the job in about 3 days for 700 square feet of flooring, which was faster than we expected. They were on time each day, worked a full day, and were professional, polite, and friendly. Even when problems presented themselves due to no fault of their own (our bookcase was too tall for the ceiling once the new flooring was put in,) they found a way to fix it that let us keep our bookcase. They were very careful with our furniture and put it back where it belonged after the install, making sure to use sliders/felt so as not to scratch the new flooring. They cleaned up after themselves after each day and after the job was finished. Julian advised me of how to care for the new floor and said he would be available should any problems occur. The job was finished on time and for less than his estimate. The new flooring looks great, and so does the trim, which is in my opinion the most annoying and fiddly part of a flooring installation! We love it, and are so grateful we found J. Craig's Flooring through Angie's List.

Julian was great from the time he came out to give an estimate until he was finished with the job. He was very patient with us and provided us with all the information we needed to choose a carpet. What we liked most about Julian is that he does all his own work, so you won't get some stranger coming to your house to install flooring. He arrived on time the day of installation and was thorough and quick, he also took the time to move our furniture back where we wanted it. He cleaned up his mess from installation and we were left with beautiful new carpet in the bedrooms. He even took the time to tell us the best way to wipe up spills so we can care for our new carpet. He backs all his work, and did a great job. Couldn't be happier with the work he provided. I would def. recommend J. Craig flooring.

I wanted to update my laundry room which included adding new tile flooring. Julian and his team were great! He had the best price and was able to accommodate my schedule. The job was completed well above my expectations. I even had him do some extra minor tile work in my basement for only minimal added cost.

Julian and his assistant arrived on time for the first day of work, removed old flooring in the dining room and foyer, and replaced it with new flooring. The next day, they arrived promptly, removed old flooring from our kitchen and replaced it with new flooring. Both days they swept up after themselves, packed up the old flooring, and put it neatly at the curb. On the second day they were finished by lunchtime. We had the benefit of comparing the work of J. Craig with the work of the previous installer. Craig's work is far superior and in addition was cheaper. We highly recommend this company for quality, value, courtesy, and professionalism.

I HIGHLY recommend J. Craig's Flooring. Julian is a pleasure to work with. He and his nephew arrived when promised, worked essentially non stop (I never saw them take a break), and left my house each day having ensured everything was neat and tidy to the point that I could actually use my kitchen and not feel like I was living in a construction zone. The job was finished as promised, on time, within budget, and looks great. Julian even went above and beyond to fix an issue I had with some carpet upstairs. If you're looking for a knowledgable, courteous professional to do your flooring, I recommend Julian Craig without hesitation. This was the best experience I've had with a contractor by far!

Julian was prompt and provided a written estimate. He also assisted in the ordering of the materials. He was able to move up his schedule and do the work 2 weeks sooner than we anticipated. Hew was quite helpful in the final planning. He was also neat and very pleasant to deal with. We would definitely use him again.

As always, Julian did an excellent job, just like he did when he replace my kitchen floor last year. He completed everything as specified in detail on his estimate and his final bill was on target. It went just GREAT! Julian is a true professional and the process was a distinct pleasure. He was ALWAYS there the entire time, and ran the project, mostly hands-on to ensure that every detail was attended to. The end results are just fantastic and we're THRILLED with the results! We'll be sure to post some photos later on. We are looking forward to working with Julian again in the future! We've worked with a LOT of contractors over the years, and fired more than our share. VERY few guys in the trade really know their craft and also understand how a project needs to be handled - and pride themselves on delivering a high-quality result for a reasonable price. I was so please with his work. I would recommend him to anyone. very neat doing his job. I didn't have any problem with him returning my calls. Took me to buy the supplies I needed. When he was done doing the work every day. He will clean and leave my home nice and clean. He be coming back to install a rug in a week. .

I contacted Mr. Craig in order to provide an estimate for installing some hardwood floor in my family room and kitchen. He was courteous and professional. I was finishing up a kitchen remodel and wanted to install the flooring myself. However, I just did not have the time. After all is said and done, I am glad that I did not do it. It was something better left to those with more experience. Mr. Craig and his brothers were always on time. They made every attempt to keep areas cleaned up and worked dilligently. Overall, I am very pleased with their work. It was simple. He quoted me a price. His attitude and quality of work was excellent. His team did more work than what was included in the original scope of work, (replaced a few extra pieces of subfloor we found damaged). He arrived and departed each and every day as scheduled. The job was completed ahead of schedule and slightly under budget. I am very happy with the work. Most of all, my wife likes the floors. Who could ask for more.

When I called Julian to provide an estimate for carpet installation he responded same day and brought carpet samples to me promptly. He encouraged me to take my time selecting a carpet and to call him with any questions. When I chose the carpet style and colors I called him and we set up the appointment for installation. He was very accommodating to my schedule. He and his team showed up early for the job. He is reputable, punctual, helpful and talented and the same goes for his work team.

They did an excellent job and were very reasonably priced. They were very professional, quick, hard working and did not damage anything. The installers left my place immaculate so, for carpeting guys, they are tops. I was impressed and was here while they did the work so I saw everything. Their pricing was phenomenal and their workmanship and carpet quality was great. We sold our house in two days and I am sure that helped contribute to the easy sale. When we get our new house and need carpeting they will do the work, that's a guarantee.

The initial evaluation to quote for the work went well. He was observant and made good suggestions as to small things (like replacing the vinyl covering the recessed base of the kitchen cupboards with matching tile). Once the tile arrived, the work was scheduled. The work was done excellently, on time and looks great. As to using him again - we have already arranged for more work, so most definitely.

J. Craig's Flooring excelled in all domains that matter when choosing a contractor: professionalism, honesty, communication skills, quality of service, and price. Julian Craig and his brothers did a tremendous job for us. They are the reason why I use Angie's List to find my contractors. Julian was pleasant and professional on the phone when I first contacted him; he answered all my questions and agreed to come to my house for an estimate. He arrived at the house when he said he would, measured the rooms accurately, provided detailed answers to all questions, was friendly with my 2 young sons, and provided a rough estimate. When my wife arrived home from work, he was courteous and respectful to her and addressed her concerns as well. My wife and I both got a good vibe from Julian as soon as we met him. We knew he was the man for the job. Within a few days, Julian emailed us a detailed estimate for the labor and supplemental materials (we provided the hardwood flooring). Julian and his brothers removed carpet and pads and installed hardwood flooring and baseshoe in 4 rooms (2 kids' bedrooms, the office, and the living room) over 4 days. They were courteous to my family and me throughout the process. One of the days they were working, I had to stay home with my 4-year-old son who was sick; Julian and his brothers were respectful of this situation and didn't make any more noise than they had to. My son was even able to take a lengthy nap in my bedroom as they installed the new flooring in his room! Julian explained the process of their craft periodically as they worked and showed me how he handled situations like making the new flooring as flush as possible with bordering dining room tiles or pre-existing hallway flooring. While observing them work, I noticed that Julian and his brothers are artisans as well as technically proficient contractors. They spent considerable time "dry laying" or "racking" the floorboards--laying them out for optimal appearance (due to variations in grain and color) as well as position before nailing them down. The finished floors are gorgeous! Julian went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased with the job. He offered to purchase furniture glides (felt pads) at Home Depot for me to protect the new flooring from scratching when sliding furniture. As I had run out of felt pads, this saved me a lot of inconvenience. A major concern we had was that the previous owner's dog peed through the carpet in 2 of the rooms. We were concerned that the dog pee penetrated and possibly damaged the subflooring beneath the carpet pads, a situation which has caused allergies for my family. Once the carpets were removed, Julian confirmed that the subfloors were not damaged, and in the 2 rooms where they were stained, Julian applied Kilz primer and polyurethane to seal the area stained by the dog pee, preventing any further bacteria from getting out to trigger allergic reactions. Julian and brothers wiped down the new floors and thoroughly cleaned up all work areas when they were finished. They neatly folded and piled up the used boxes in my garage and carried the surplus boxes of wood (which were heavy) down to my basement. Julian clearly explained all the labor and materials charges on the final bill. His labor charge was identical to the estimate and he provided receipts for all materials he purchased. It was a pleasure to have such a big project be hassle-free from start to finish. We truly appreciate the professionalism and craftsmanship of J. Craig Flooring. We highly recommend them.

Julian was very professional, great customer interaction, most importantly the end product was just perfect. The flooring was the one part of my kitchen remodel job I had no worries about, once J.Craig Flooring came in to see my challenges and explained how they would address my problems. My original laminant wood floor from the family room had some water damage and the existing seam into the kitchen area was beyond its good life and barely staying in place. The transition piece was just annoying and moving all over. Toward the back door, i had three different corner round/trim pieces coming together; what an eye sore! J.Craig Flooring fixed it all. In addition to my flooring challenges, I had to schedule orher contractors on the second day of my flooring installation. imagine that challenge, but J.Craig Flooring made no fuss, He told me don't worry at all and prepped the floor areas so the other team would have no problems. Wow very considerate! That's great customer satisfaction. It was stress free with Julian as my flooring contractor. I was extremely pleased with both the kitchen floor and the marble installation at my front door. I even put his business cards on my desk to recommend to others. Julian and his team installed new laminate flooring in our kitchen and downstairs bathroom, including the adjoining hallways. They were prompt (even arriving a little early on some days) and professional. Julian did a good job explaining everything to me and was very fair in his pricing. Because I bought almost all of the materials, I didn't have to pay any mark up costs, which was nice, and for everything that they bought, I was provided with a receipt and only paid face value. My floor was a little uneven to begin with and Julian did a good job leveling it out and making sure that I was satisfied; he even replaced a small section of subflooring that was water damaged, at no extra cost. Overall, Julian was a very honest and pleasant person to work with.
