My experience with Jim Hackett of S&H Industries was one of the best professional interactions I have had, and that includes selling and buying three homes and going through similar professional hires dozens of times. I live in another state, and once a "tank sweep" of the property I owned (had belonged to my uncle) during the inspection period showed the existence of an underground oil storage tank, I needed to coordinate removal and any possible remediation if there was adjacent soil contamination. My realtor gave me a list of three names, and I decided on Jim and his company after reaching him quickly, reviewing the situation with him, and feeling confident in his demeanor and enthusiasm for the project. Within moments of me speaking with him, he had driven by the property, observed the area that had been staked after a company swept the property for the presence of oil tanks, and called me back. He explained the process he would undertake, the permit process with the township, and what to expect. I decided to engage his company transmitting a signed contract. Before he even received my deposit check in the mail, he had pulled a permit with the town to expedite the process because of the escrow timeline for the home sale. The same day the excavation permit was issued, he had the tank pulled and had arranged a speedy inspection with the town. The entire process including the permit application and issuance was just over two weeks, a very short time frame for this time of underground storage tank removal. Throughout the entire process, I received regular emails with photos and updates on the progress of the project. I am so accustomed to having to chase down service providers and wondering if the job is getting done and hoping people I've hired will show up one day to the next. This experience was the exact opposite of that, the ultimate professionalism, attention to detail, and conscientious interaction with the client (me!). You can see from the photos that the site was backfilled/restored very nicely immediately after the inspection of the excavated site was complete. I would not hesitate to recommend S & H Industries to anyone for reasonable pricing, high quality work, knowledge of the work, and professionalism.

Let me tell you Jim and Ryan from S&H saved my butt. We were trying to sell our house and did not know that we even had a oil tank on the property until the buyers inspection. S&H was able to quickly mobilize to get the tank out and not delay the closing. Highly knowledgeable, reasonably priced and just great guys. You will not be disappointed. THANKS!
