ROCON CONTRACTING

Owner Dennis Robert’s and his management team were rarely at my home during a major addition including 3 rooms. There were many structural issues and when confronted with facts Dennis Robert’s was indignant. Years later I still have problems with the work they did. One time they didn’t pay a contractor and that contractor had his lawyer threaten to put a mechanics lien on my home. I had to scream at Dennis to get him to take care of the issue.

I still have issues with a project they did about ten years ago. The masons they hired constructed a wall in the wrong place. Owner Dennis Roberts was extremely rude and told me not to tell him how to do his job. Not surprisingly I still have issues with water coming into the basement that I just fixed. Turned out they didn’t seal it properly. Rocon promised oversight of the property but I almost never saw anyone other than a subcontractor. I had to make sure I was home for inspectors to smooth things over that were done wrong and report back to Dennis. I thought that was his job. Guess not. This was honestly the worst experience I ever had with a contractor. The kitchen to sunroom floor was installed on a slope and Dennis refused to fix it until I hired a lawyer. I ended up having to rip up tile and buy it again at my own expense. I still have all the documentation. What a disaster. Look elsewhere.

Rocon was 100% professional from the start. They took the time to explain everything and made sure everything was to my liking. But most of all, everyone treated us like we were family. I highly recommend them for a new house or a renovation. AWESOME CONTRACTOR...

Horrible. Hire another. Contractor. Worst experience . Delays, substandard workmanship, excuses and more excuses. Do not hire !

A PLUS! The entire Rocon team treated us as though we were their priority customer, even though our Project Manager was coordinating 22 jobs at that time. They were (and continue to be) responsive and respectful of our time and our home. There was never a time that we felt that we were being ignored or "handled". They were honest about the timeframe and gave new meaning to "under promise and over deliver". Now that we are back home, our neighbors have all remarked at the amazing outcome. You cannot go wrong with Rocon as your contractor!

From the outset, Dennis (owner) was extremely professional. His project and site managers were extremely reponsive, and respectful. They all worked very very diligently to meet our deadline, and although we had several bumps along the way, they provided outstanding service. They were very neat, very clean, and made sure every subcontractor cleans up carefully. They often worked until dark, and always made sure they had permission to work early or late, or on weekends to make sure they werent disrupted our family more than necessary. The quality of their work was also exceptional-- despite pressure to meet our deadline, no corners were ever cut. My only criticism would be the cost-- he was higher than other bids, lower than some. My own error was in not negotiating higher "allowances,"-- unexpected upcharges for tile/carpet/lighting that I did not realize I was going to have.
