To save time. first let me state unequivocally that Our project with WC construction was an Outstandingly positive experience, the level of professionalism, communication, value and quality of work was second to none. To help others develop some comfort with a decision to use WC I offer a bit more detail of our experience with our roof... How long does it take to do a roof and how much does it cost? The reason I ask this question is because of previous experience with construction professionals and a roofing saga that started like a nightmare and ended like a fairy tale. Our story starts at a local home show where we received vouchers for a free estimate, After a 3 hour sales pitch complete with power point presentation featuring horror stories from the competition we received a quotation only good for today which ranged from 30K to 48K depending on the additions would provide additional longevity for the roof. Needless to say we needed to get some competitive bids which left the sales man angered and frustrated. Over the next month the one time price came down significantly but because of the cost we postponed the job for about 4 months. In the beginning of March we brought in some new bids far more reasonable however in most cases they left us with questions. Then we sat down with Bill from WC he laid out our options broke down the cost for each option and explained what additional costs could be incurred. And he offered us a lifetime warranty from GAF for ~45% less than our lowest first bid. So we booked because the comfort level and the price was right. Bill explained that we were in the Que and it would be a couple of weeks depending on the weather to start our roof. Then he told us what I thought was an exaggeration our roof which is quite large would be done in 1 ONE day the gutters would follow a couple of days later. The next part of the story will give you an Idea of why this review is so positive. A week after booking our roof we had a spring snow storm which not only took out our power but damaged the electrical service coming into the house. To make a long story short it took nearly 2 months to get the electricity repaired. Bill kept in touch and was very understanding throughout. After a week and 1/2 due to weather delays Bill squeezed us into his schedule. Then the big day came Bill arrived with a large crew who set up huge tarps to catch the debris, a 30 yard dumpster arrived around 10 the old roof was off by noon and they were already working on replacing the 14 sheets of plywood and installing the deck armor and leak barrier membrane. By 5 they were finishing up the roof and by 6:30 the only evidence that they were there was a beautiful new roof and a full dumpster! 2 days later the gutters were complete and I am one Satisfied customer!!!

Excellent! Bill and his crew did an awesome job on our roof. They arrived in the morning and were done later the same day. He actually has his own trusted crew to work on the roof and Bill frequently checked up on everything. While the roof was being worked on, some of the flashing needed to be replaced and siding needed some attention - they took care of it. All in all Bill and his crew did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend.

From start to finish, the whole process was excellent. I received a quote very quickly and every question I had was answered promptly. Bill also made some suggestions that were excellent. On the day of the work, they showed up at the time I was told (actually a few minutes early), finished the job in one day and cleaned up very well. I also liked that Bill was overseeing the job most of the day. He had to leave a few times but always came back promptly and made sure everything was going smoothly. In my experience, most contractors drop off their crew and only return at the end of the day. One thing I really appreciated is that Bill told me a few times that once the dumpster was taken away the next day, I should look for nails underneath where the dumpster was. This was an excellent suggestion as some had fallen through. I would highly recommend Bill and his crew.

We are pleased with the excellent result of our new roof. The crew of eight (8) were able to completely remove the old shingles, replace some sections of decayed decking, and install the new shingles in one (1) day! Chose the options of a black chimney flashing and the drip-edge. The owner, Bill, was responsive to all of my questions and easy to work with.

Winter nor'easters brought down two trees -- the second a massive pin oak that damaged my roof. Even though snow delayed the start of the job, Bill from W.C. Construction Corp. had the specs measured and the team ready for the first available day. When the weather finally cleared, the crew replaced the roof in a single day, did a meticulous cleanup, and created a happy ending after a not-so-happy event. I was traveling during the process, and Bill kept me informed every step of the way, before, during and after the job. A real pro, a nice guy, and a great company.

Bill was great to work with. He initially came and went over everything very thoroughly going through all the options we could select. Bill and his firm are GAF Certified Installers, and there were a lot of shingle selections to choose from. We ended up going with the upgraded deck armor, exhaust vents, and timberline hd shingles. Bill was very responsive to all queries and his team was able to tear down and install the roof in one day. We then had scheduled a follow-up with his gutter guys to install 6" gutters. They did a great job as well. His prices were also very competitive with other quotes we received. I would not hesitate to use Bill and his team again. It was a very painless experience, and overall I am very satisfied with the way things turned out.

Bill is a very nice man. He did a great job in a professional manner. Best thing about Bill is that he does not use high pressure sales tactics. Pricing was very competitive and fair. Work was completed on time with absolutely no issues. Workers were friendly. They cleaned up well after job was completed. Whole process was easy and stress free. We will definitely do business with him in future.

The owner, Bill Hess, came out and spent the time to go over the problem areas and come up with solutions to address them including upgrades to the ventilation, ice & water protection and a much better grade of shingles. His knowledge and thoroughness really distinguished him from the other contractors we contacted, plus his company has done many roof replacements in our area that look great. Bill stayed in touch before during and after the job, answering all of the questions we had. His crew arrived on time, found and fixed all the plywood issues, fixed the ventilation issues, replaced the attic fan, and did a great job on installing the new shingles. They also spent a long time cleaning up, including using a magnet to pickup any stray nails in the grass, driveway, etc. When they left there was no sign that they were there, other than our beautiful new roof. Several neighbors have since commented on how nice the roof looks and wanted Bill's contact info so they could get theirs done. Highly recommended.

Bill's team showed up when they were suppose to and replaced the roof. There were no problems and Bill was around to suppervisor the entire job.

Bill and his team are amazing. Bill was quick to respond to my phone calls and texts. He kept me posted before and throughout the process. He and his team arrived at the time he promised and replaced the entire roof (two layers of roofing) in one business day. They left the exterior of the house in better condition then before they arrived.

The workmanship of the installation, and the efficiency of Mr. Hess' work crew, was outstanding. The entire roof replacement, including installation of the deck armor, a roof vent and extensive flashing around the skylights and a huge, old, stone chimney was expertly done and completed in one day. Only 16 days elapsed between our initial meeting with Bill Hess to get an estimate, and completion of the job. His crew, the flatbed truck with the materials, and the dumpster arrived right on time and got to work immediately. Upon completion of the job in the late afternoon, his crew did a thorough clean-up of all areas surrounding the house. The dumpster was picked up about 6:45 a.m. the next morning, and was done so quietly, that neither us or our neighbors were aware that it had even been picked up. We searched Angie's List and contacted several companies. Bill Hess responded quickly and was extremely helpful and answered all our questions. When we couldn't decide which color of shingle we wanted Bill brought us full shingles of the two colors we were considering. He scheduled the work exactly when we wanted it to be done and explained how the day would go. He said the crew would start 7:30 - 8:00 and on that day they arrived at that time. The materials arrived on time and before we knew it the crew had put up this huge tarp to protect the landscaping and they were on the roof! It was very hot and humid that day but his guys never stopped. They were extremely careful to throw the old shingles away from my next door neighbor's driveway. His workmen were so polite when they needed to come in to check the new skylight. And at the end of the job not only did they clean up EVERYTHING but they vacuumed the deck, the patio, the driveway, the walk and the porch! We got estimates from several companies. Some were less expensive but didn't include things we wanted like the GAF Deck Armor. And some were so outrageously priced it was laughable! Bill gave us an honest estimate with everything we wanted. He was always available if we had questions and he was onsite a good part of the day. Bill's low key manner made the entire experience easy and we couldn't be more satisfied with the results. The best contractor I have ever dealt with! Bill, the owner of the company, was involved in every step of the process. He was prompt at returning my phone calls before the job started and also after we agreed on the work to be done. I had 3 estimates for the roof and Bill had the best price, he was the most experienced of all the companies I called, and he was also the nicest guy. I can't say enough about how happy I was with Bill, his crew, and the work that was performed. At the end of the day, the crew did a great job cleaning up (which is more than I can say for the roofing company that worked on my neighbors house). Use Bill and W C Construction for your roofing needs, you will not be disappointed!

Bill was very professional and courteous. Initially he was unsure about doing this job because of the low square footage involved, but agreed to visit my home to look at the work required. After seeing what was involved, he agreed to complete the job and gave me the cost estimate which was acceptable to me. Bill said he could complete the job by June 21. A few days later he called to schedule the job on June 8th, which worked well for me because of other projects I wished to schedule. He estimated the job would take about 4 hours, and he was spot-on. Moreover, additional work was required because a couple pieces of plywood started to decay -- the plywood was replaced for merely the cost of the plywood. The crew arrived on time, the dumpster and the shingles were also delivered on time, and then the dumpster was removed about 1 hour after the completion of the work. The crew did a great job cleaning up any debris. In conclusion, W. C. Construction is highly recommended.

There were some problems due to unexpected hot weather and the need to hand deliver the new concrete from the street- about 75'. The major work was completed in 2 long days, and painting was done after a curing time. Bill came immediately after initial contact and provided a very competitive estimate. He and his crew always showed up exactly when expected and were very responsive. They did everything I asked. It was a hard, messy job, done efficiently and they cleaned up after their work. Very conscientious. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Bill is great - extremely knowledgeable, professional, reliable and trustworthy. His team did an excellent job. These guys were truly professional: they showed up when they said they would, did high-quality work, and finished on time. No more water dripping into the bedroom! They also matched the unusual color of our existing gutters beautifully. And they reattached a chimney cap that had blown off the chimney.

Went fantastic. The crew did the whole roof in one day, and the gutters a couple of days after. The roof looks fantastic, doesn't leak, and the gutters look great as well. Would hire again!
