Viking Pest Control - Bridgewater

I recently called Viking Pest to re-bait my rodent stations in the garage and outside. When they arrived, they refused to do that and told me that since I have a dog, their company policy no longer allows them to. I had the dog when I started service with them. In fact, 2 months prior to their policy change they sold me 2 outdoor bait stations for $75. So basically, they would like me to spend more money and buy into their Smart Rodent technology instead, as their only option claiming it’s safer. If they were offering it at the same cost then that might be an option but it’s not the case. I called multiple times asking for their service manager to call me as I was upset. Each time customer service would say I’d get a call within 48 hours and never did. I guess since Viking is owned by Anticimex a large corporation, they’ve lost sight of customer service. I am very disappointed with Viking Pest, I would not recommend them. If I could give the no stars I would.

They got rid most of the rats and that's a good thing.

They did well and eliminated the issues I was having with mice, hornets, laid down traps and performed a spraying across the yard. They listened to the issues I was having and had different chemicals for the various types of insects.

Devin Torres was professional and kind. He got rid of the 4 crickets in my laundry tub and then sprayed and put down glue traps. I feel much better now.

I have been a viking customer for 8 years. Their routine services used to be good and reliable. However services are really sloppy for most recent services especially the service today. It was a schedule appointment with 4 hour time window. I worked from home today but no one showed up. No one called ahead or left a message. Still I received a service report with the technician RAFAEL IRIZARRY claiming that he called ahead and left a message to the customer without response and he provided the exterior foundation spray service. Obviously he was lying. I don't feel comfortable to pay for services that did not actually provided. I will not renew my contract with them

Tech that came to the house were always professional. Every new potential bug was a new contract with an additional cost. Found a new service that does the same work for half the cost.

Great. Very responsive !! They've sprayed for the bees, set traps, etc. They know their stuff.

Advised us to cover all the holes and afterwards viking rep will come by to clear squirrels out, so i called other services to cover gutter cost $900. Called vikings to come by after repairs, they arrived to say they will set up trap (not guaranteed) and that I will have to check every day if trap catches anything for $400. Very lousy service and now I have new holes (visible) as we blocked the older holes (not visible from outside)

Can't recommend Viking any higher. From the first contact, to the free inspection and then the scheduling and treatment, Everything was done professionally, efficiently, and pleasantly. Both Rolando, the representative, and Brandon, the technician, were helpful and informative. They answered all my questions confidently and they were both clean and respectful of my home. I will definitely call them anytime I have a pest problem.

Great company Frank Yost was a knowledgeable very nice guy he took care of our squirrel problem. When the squirrels tried to regain entry into our attic he came back within hours and took care of that problem too. I would hire this company again in a second. Thank You Viking and Frank!

I like the service overall but I had some other service from the company called Orkin and they seemed to be more powerful than this one. Maybe this should improve on the pesticides a little bit. I found some services that I can get at $300 per year.

It was pretty good so far. I pay them $200 every 3 months. They don't bother me to be home every time. They don't do Saturday service so they normally do not spray inside the house. When I had to deal with them, they were pretty good. They're fine.

Went well. Very thorough spraying all around house and spent substantial time. When saw bee's nests, spent additional time spraying and removing nests. Was very neat.

Brian came out, assessed the situation and treated the areas. We were impressed with his professionalism and responsiveness. He took the time to answer our questions. We took out a contract with Viking based upon this experience.

The estimator responded quickly, was very professional answering all questions happily and putting on shoe covers to enter house and inspect. An estimate was given for the necessary work with added encouragement to get a yearly contract thrown in, of course. The actual work was performed punctually at the pre-arranged time and date. The worker sprayed insecticide along the suspected ant entry points in the basement ceiling and applied gel bait insecticide along cracks around kitchen counters where ants could enter, and sprayed outside along the foundation of the house by the kitchen. He did not use shoe covers indoors and left some dirt from his shoes for me to clean up. The entire job took about 20 mins., so the fee charged seemed quite high to me, But the ant problem disappeared immediately, so I'm pleased with the results.

They contacted me quickly, and had someone here very quickly. My house was a little chaotic at the time, but he was very thorough.

Very professional, very responsive. Any time I need them I call, and they are here within a couple of days. The technicians are very nice and very helpful. I would recommend them.

Overly priced and difficult to work with. I called two other companies to get estimates for ant and carpenter bee treatment. When I called Viking as third to compare with, they said they would send someone out to give me a free estimate. They showed up on time and were very nice. On the day they came out, their price was $415 (including tax) for the initial treatment to get started plus $35 for, what I thought was, each following quarter for one year. When they were here, they put down ant granular treatment outside my home and clear gel ant treatment inside my home to get started for the ant problem right away; their responsiveness was great. However, everything else about their service was awful!! The guy did NOT explain the pricing clearly, even though I asked him to go over it with me a few times. I was left thinking that I would pay $415 to get started for the initial treatment and then $35 for each following quarter. This was somewhat in the same ballpark as the other two estimates - a little higher, but close enough so I was OK with it. When the office manager called me the next day to setup the carpenter bee service appointment, I asked her to make sure I was only paying $415 and then $35/quarter. She said no, it was $415 to get started and then $35 per month for the rest of the one year service! So I paid $415 and then $385 ($35 * 11 remaining months) for a total of $800 for the year. The other two estimates I received were $400/year and $600/year, and they both covered much more pest treatment. She also said that the sales man did not use their currect contract form which is why this was all so confusing about where the $35 came from. I asked her if Viking would price match either of the other quotes I received, and she said no and the only thing they can do is give us 30 days for $415 and cancel the yearly membership for $35/month. I am outraged at how difficult and expensive Viking turned out to be. So now I have paid $415 for 30 lousy days and am starting new service with another company that is must lower in price but covers all pests and bees. Plus, we still have ants and bees!!! After Viking did treat my home, we immediately started to get carpenter ants. I called and asked Viking about this, why the small odorous house ants are gone and the carpenter ants have appeared, and they couldn't tell me any reason why and that it would be an additional charge to treat the carpenter ants! I obviously told her no way and that I feel they should treat the caprenter ants since they appeared right after their treatment for the odorous house ants. After my own research, carpenter ants are "cave dwellers" meaning that they will occupy left over spaces from other insects in addition to making their own nests inside moist, decaying or hollow wood. If Viking knew what they were doing, they absolutley should have included treatment for the the carpenter ants after treating the odorous house ants, knowing this could happen among the two insects. So despite this mixup on Viking's end, for not using the correct contract, and not explaining the pricing correctly, I am out $415 for thirty days worth of service. Also, they were aware we are new home owners with a newborn, and they were still unwilling to work with us. Pretty heartless and unprofessional, compared to other companies that gave us an extra percent off as they understood how we could especially use the discount. So now I am paying again for another company to come start over. I will never use Viking again and have been telling my friends and family to NEVER use them.

They were very good. They just stay outside and treat the outside of the house. The result of their work is very good. We don’t have any insects anymore inside. We had problems with ants last year, we just called them and they came out and treated it for free. If you have insect problems in between their visit, they will come and treat it again for free. They are prompt and if you have any problem, they will address it right away. Their price is comparable to everyone else and they are not any less expensive or more expensive. We don't have to set an appointment, they just come.

They did very good. The price is a little high, but they do good work! I got a discount for being an Angie's List member.

No presssure experience. Great customer service. Prompt attention to address pest issue. Gave piece of mind/assurance that treatment would be effective. Excellent customer service from Pest Elimination Specialist Rich Watman. During the quote process he took the time to educate me on bed bugs and the heat treatment method for pest elmination. I honestly was not prepare to invest the money into the treatment option. The greatest thing I appreciate is that neither Rich nor the Viking Pest Control office haggled or pressured me into signing on for service. I value gathering gathering information from multiple sources and vendors and then making an educated and cost effective decision. I contacted Rich a few weeks later and they honored the original service quote. Rich immediately got me on the schedule for the next available time slot the following week. The chemical and heat treament crews arrived on time and treament was completed as quoted in twelve (12) hours, split across two (2) days. I also purchased the "Piece of Mind Plus" service so that my rental property is setup with pre-scheduled future inspections by Viking and their K-9 crew. Rich also willingly accommodated my request for service receipts to be faxed to me for personal records. I am very pleased with Viking Pest Control service out of Bound Brook, NJ 08806 and look forward to having this Bed Bug pest issue behind me.

Their service did absolutely nothing to help with the spiders in our new home. They came twice, and it did not help. They would not refund me. They are way overpriced, and their chemicals do NOT get rid of a few lousy spiders.

To be honest, their prices are all the same when you go to a pest control company. I kind of looked up all the company, and I read everything about this one. I like their website, and I like that I got them right away. They came right away, and there was no waiting time. I read everything that they had compared to other websites. They were very knowledgeable, and they gave me the information that I needed. That was the reason why I called them.
