Dominick was the absolute #1 worst contractor we’ve ever hired. I wish I had read the other reviewer. Never showed up. Used every excuse he could come up with. Avoided calls and texts. Became nasty and any dive in continued correspondences. Very unprofessional. The work that was don’t was half assed and faulty. DO NOT HIRE.

At the end of the day, well months, I am pleased with the way the project came out. However, the project which should have taken 3 weeks, took almost 9 months. Al is a nice guy,but at the end, I gave up on him and finished the detail work myself. Specific issues: ? We reviewed my plans, signed the contract, and got started. But on the very first day, Al told me that it couldn?t be done according to my plans. Medicine cabinets could not be put into the wall because of the plumbing behind it. Electric could not be put in w/o ripping out a wall. What is, is, but he should have known this when he scoped out the job. ? The job took an unreasonable length of time. The work was done sporadically over a period of many months. They?d show up, work a day or two, be gone for weeks, and then return for a few hours and disappear. At one point, Al blamed Hurricane Sandy, but this was already two months into the job when it should have already been finished. ? He is not detail oriented. I had to tell him to stain the visible ends of wood he cut. The cabinet doors were never aligned properly. There were many little things that I just couldn?t get him to finish, so I decided that it wasn?t worth the aggravation and finished the detail work myself. ? On the positive side, they never left a mess and planned the work so that only one bathroom would be out of order at a time. Al is a nice guy, and the price was reasonable. I would not recommend DBI, not even to my ex.
