They wanted $99 to come to my home to measure the chimney and give me an estimate! I measured the chimney myself and emailed the measurements to them. They said that they would give me an estimate, but I never heard from them. I contacted another company, gave them my measurements and they gladly gave me a written estimate. Then they came and checked my measurements just to be sure, and ordered a custom made chase cover for me. It was installed a few days later at the exact price that they estimated Why in the world would anyone ever pay just to get an estimate?

Excellent! A person answered the phone. Make a date for the next day. Arrived on time. Quickly and quietly did work and THE COST WAS LESS THAN QUOTED! Great service.

Came promptly, but had to wait for estimate. Was expecting it in a day or two, but had to wait a couple of weeks. After that they came in a reasonable amount of time and were there as scheduled.

During Hurricane Sandy, I notices my chimney for my gas fireplace was clogged. After the storm was over and power was finally restored to my area, I called Bridgewater Chimney Sweeps several times to schedule an appointment. Every time I got an answering machine saying that they were busier than usual due to the storm. After leaving several messages over several weeks, I gave up. I think it's very unprofessional for a company, any company, to not return phone calls left on their answering machine, no matter how busy they are. As someone who was affected by the Superstorm Sandy himself, I can appreciate being hindered by the storm (I was without power for a week myself). However, I still think a 30-second phone call is the minimum professional courtesy, even if it's just to say they're too busy to help me. By contrast, another chimney sweep I called the same day I first called Bridgewater Chimney sweeps called me the next day to tell me I was out of their service area. They left me a message on my voice mail, advising me to use only a CSIA-certified chimney sweep, and then gave me the web address of the CSIA site were I could find CSIA-certified chimney sweeps closer to me.

This spring we had our chimney's swept or cleaned. They did a phenomenal job as always and were very polite and professional and friendly. We had them clean our chimneys last year as well as consulting on the condition of our chimney. They gave us several options and did not try to sell us anything that we did not need. We had decided to buy a pellet stove insert. Mike was very knowledgeable and was able to give us advice on pellet stoves. After the wonderful experience we had with the sweep and repair, we decided to have BCS install the pellet stove instead of the company we purchased it from. BCS were very neat and friendly. They even talked with our toddler and didn't mind being watched by my son. They were wonderful to work with on every aspect of the service and repair. I can't recommend them highly enough.

They were outstanding and very professional. They came in and did an outstanding repair. They did exactly what they were going to do and showed up exactly when they said they were going to be there. They were not an inexpensive company. I compared them to other vendors and they were comparable, but not the cheapest. What really made me want to use them was their professionalism. They took photographs and, came and showed them to me and made me feel very, very comfortable about what needed to be accomplished. I am a pretty experienced guy because I do a lot of contract working. They brought materials and showed me pictures and gave me the parts when they were done. They were really upfront and topnotch, I thought. I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anybody. They had a lot of demands; so they couldn't come right away, but when they came, they were great. I plan on bringing them in the spring for something else.

There was a sales pitch for additonal services, but not too aggressive.
