Paul is an honest and very knowledgable plumber. Our sump pump in our home was air locked and making a terrible noise after. I called Paul in the morning and he said he would make it out to our home later that day. As always, Paul did. He's punctual and keeps in touch to let you know when you should expect him. I understand how this seems very "basic" and expected but with many contractors they stand you up or push you off till the next day, so I respect someone who is true to their word.

Guys arrived on time as promised around 8am. Installed everything within a couple of hours. Everything went smoothly. They found a problem with a water pipe leading in to the bathroom sink and they fixed it for no extra charge. Courteous, professional and did a great job. Will use them again if I ever need plumbing work.

Showed up on time and replaced our kitchen faucet and then fixed a toilet which was constantly running. The job was done in approx. 2 1/2 hours. Problem free!

Proficient Plumbing & Heating was excellent. The gentleman who came was very professional and greeted us in a friendly manner. He called in advance to make sure that we were still on for the appointment, he took us through exactly what he was doing and showed us what he had cleaned out. He seemed to have a fair price and he said that he would give us a discount because he did 2 zones. He said we didn't need to do it every year so he didn't push us to sign a contract.

My experience with them was very good. He was very nice and professional. You should hire them. In fact, if anything else goes wrong at home, they are the first ones I would get. We had a little problem with responsiveness. What had happened is we had called them and because of hurricane sandy, they were finishing a job so it took them a little while just to get back to us.

Most of the communication was done by cell phone. I didn't have to wait more than 24 hours for him to call back, and again, that is because he is busy. For me, being busy is a sign of competence and demand. That is a good thing. He's got good people skills and demonstrated a firm understanding of what he needed to do. He explained everything to me as though I had one head, not three. Sometimes, trades people can be condescending without knowing it. Paul spoke in plain talk, respectfully. He valued my business. Coordinating with the roofers was tricky, but it got done. That was the only bump in the road, and in retrospect, it was a bump not a rut. The weather was more a delay factor than the coordination. I saw him do a few interesting things; at one point, his helper had placed a caulk gun on the floor alongside the step-ladder entrance to the attic. Paul "tsked" to himself and then said," What is he doing putting that down on the carpet," and went over and picked it up. Whatever the two had to say after that was kept from me, which is how it should be. I bet he will be a little put off that I saw that, and I don't bleame him. But he addressed it quickly. And Privately. There are nop perfect vendors or providers. But he demonstrated client consciousness, and my sense was he will remediate this asap.

We were in a terrible bind due to timing restraints and really needed to get everything fixed ASAP. I had made calls to a couple other plumbers but one could not be bothered and the other was too busy. When I called Paul he answered his phone and said he could be at our place in a couple of hours. He was early and got straight to work fixing each of the problems. He was great about telling us how much each repair would be and checking with us on the price. The repairs took a couple of days as they were extensive but he always made sure that we had water to a bathroom when needed and always stayed in contact to let us know when he would be arriving. Paul is a very professional plumber and very accomodating. We felt his pricing was fair and we always knew what the charges would be. Paul is our "go to" plumber in the area and we have already told quite a few people about his great service! Do not hesitate about calling Paul!! I know we won't Thanks Paul for getting us back into the house! You are the best!!!

Paul returned our phone call in a very timely manner and he came to our home the next day to give us an estimate. He even went to the store where we purchased the fireplace to take a look at it on his way home. The date was set,unfortunately, for the day of hurricane Sandy. Well, needless to say it could not be done that day. Shortly after we received a call from Paul stating his home was full of water and all of his equipment and truck was lost in the hurricane and as soon as he could arrange it, he would be in touch with another date. He was so upset--rightly so- and we told him how sorry we were and we would wait for his call. Well, he did call back several times just to keep us updated on his progress and arranged another day. He showed up that morning with his assistant and immediately proceeded to put the pipe in and finish the work. He and his assistant were delightful--they were so professional and did good quality work while answering all of our questions. He also honored the coupon from Angie's list. Considering his extenuating circumstances, he really amazed us--takes his work seriously. We admire him for his efforts and his work.

He installed our water line for the fridge and was very quick and cleaned up after himself. The worksmanship with solid and at a price that was VERY COMPETITIVE. We recently had to call him back to our home for a toilet repair and he gave us a break on the price since we were repeat customers. I LOVE CUSTOMER LOYALTY! Its not often that contractors appreciate repeat business and give you a discount, so we were very grateful. From here on out, Paul will be our plumber for all our repairs and installations.
