Called early Friday evening after hot water heater failed. New unit was replaced and up and running by Saturday afternoon. Truly grateful for the prompt response on a weekend. Top notch and professional.

Responded the quickest, showed the most professionalism by providing a paper estimate and completed the job with excellent communication between services. Though the task was super quick and simple, you wouldn't imagine the hard time other companies were giving me. PP made the process as smooth as possible for me.

Paul was right on time. Did the water heater flush, inspected all the faucets, plumbing around the house. He not only recommended fixing a leaky faucet in Jacuzzi, but went overboard and called Moen and ordered the replacement parts and fixed the faucet.

Paul came and gave me an estimate in a timely manner, and we scheduled an install date which was kept with no problems. He kept in touch when needed and did a great job with everything. I will have no hesitation using his services in the future.

I had a new range delivered early in the am only to have the delivery company tell me they could not install it due to the gas line not having a valve where it was to be connected. After making a few calls, I was able to schedule same day service from Proficient and do not regret it. They were here around the time specified (was told between 4p and 7p due to current job(s) already on the schedule) and the service was prompt and quick. I had a new valve installed and everything hooked up within the hour and all was working. Overall the quality of work was excellent and I would do business with them again if/when I need it.

was spotless after he left.Paul was exceptional in both his profession and punctuality. Gave me an estimate a week before Easter came the Tuesday after. He was less in price than he quoted. He did a terrific job and the laundry room. He even hauled away old sink and faucet. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Appointment was easy to set up and scheduled for a day of my choosing. Paul showed up on time, was courteous, helpful and offered suggestions. The work was performed on the same day and was completed within an hour or two. Was very neat and cleaned up after the repair. Will definitely use Paul again.

Paul was coming to do a small outside faucet fix. Just before coming I found out pipes frozen. He came, defrosted, and found 6 broken pipes in crawl space, and one under kitchen sink. Stayed until all leaks stopped, then came back another day and fixed the sink. He was great to spend all the time (hours vs. planned minor job).

The experience we had with Proficient Plumbing & Heating was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. Discovering a leak yesterday, we emailed Paul a picture of what we found. We sent the picture close to 11pm last night and to our surprise Paul called by 915am this morning! Paul was able to fit us in just a few short hours later to come and repair our leak! His communication is outstanding! He even called to let us know he was on his way. Upon arrival Paul and Brian repaired the pipe quickly. They are very knowledgeable and the pricing is fair. We should mention that a big plus is they are neat and leave no mess (they use a drop cloth, etc.) We would highly recommend giving Proficient Plumbing & Heating a call for your plumbing needs. Paul addressed all of my concerns and fixed all problems to my satisfaction. Very professional work, took less time than I expected, clean-up was meticulously done. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable pricing for fixing and/or inspecting four different areas. I would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely call for any future needs.

Everything went very well! Paul came out on the scheduled day and within the time frame he said he would arrive. The pipes to the outside faucet are located under the house in a crawlspace. Paul replaced the faucet and gave me suggestions on how to keep the cold air from getting into the crawl space through the vents in the foundation. He was very professional and maintained communication with me through texts. He even sent me a text to let me know he was on his way! I would definitely use Proficient Plumbing again for my next plumbing project!

I found Paul to be very helpful. In the middle of snow storm in jersey he came the same day of my call to help with a leak in the basement. He went out of his way and came to help me long after his work hours. I am greatly thankful to him for his services and time and would recommend him to anyone.

I selected Proficient Plumbing based on the reviews on Angie's list. I was out of town for over 30 days. I returned after several snow storms and frigid temperatures only to discover that there was no running water. I didn't know if it was due to frozen or burst pipes. I called Paul who told me that he was pretty booked because of the 16-degree temperatures. He took my name and number and said he'd try calling me later in the day to see if I had found another plumber or still needed someone. I was actually amazed that he did call to check on me (who does that? - kudos to him!). I said that I had made some other calls but hadn't found anyone, yet. He said it was a serious situation and I should continue to try to find someone who might be able to come out sooner than he could. He also said that he would follow up after his next job, but it might not be until later in the day. He called again and said he'd arrive in about an hour (since I still hadn't found anyone in my area). He actually arrived sooner than expected. He told me what the price would be upfront if it turned out to be something relatively simple (like thawing out pipes). This house only has a crawlspace (no basement), and there was snow on the ground. I had my shovel and was about to shovel a path to the crawlspace when Paul arrived. He actually did the shoveling himself, only to find that the cover to the crawlspace was frozen to the ground! So he had to thaw the cover to get access to the crawlspace itself. Once he did that, he determined that the pipes hadn't burst (thankfully). He was able to thaw the pipes using heaters and pipe clamps and get the water running again. He then checked to make sure that there were no leaks. Paul was very pleasant, knowledgeable, courteous, and understanding. And quick! He left my house around 5:30 p.m. & was still getting calls for help. I heard him saying that he could help them, but it might not be until later that night, because he had 2 more jobs after mine! It was well below freezing, and he didn't think twice to say he could help out other people who were also having emergency situations - in spite of the frigid temps. I can't say enough good things about him, and I can see why he's so highly rated. If I have any plumbing needs in the future, I will definitely call Paul at Proficient Plumbing, and I would highly recommend him to anyone!
