Description of Work: The latch bolt wasn't retracting fully, making it difficult for the door to be opened. The latch was replaced, so the lock works fine now.

+ -1 moreJustin came after hours to save a little boy who’s friend locked him in real handcuffs that were jammed! Even the police couldn’t unlock them but Justin was able to without an issue. Professional, prompt, skilled, great service, price was very fair as well. I would use these guys again without hesitation and recommend them highly.

+ -1 moreWe had a great experience with Mr. Keys and Mark who performed the work on the door locks. Would absolutely hire the company again and also highly recommend to other people.
Description of Work: We had a key that broke in our front door lock and then our back door lock keep getting stuck and bending our house keys. The broken key was removed from the front door lock and then both locks were reset. Additionally, the company representative made it so one key could open both the front and back door going forward.

+ -1 moreJustin P. informed me that he could repair the lock mechanism with a replacement actuator spring that he had to reshape for the lock mechanism. He then tested the lock function to verify proper operation.. He then reinstalled the lock mechanism back into the entry door slot and retested the lock-set for proper internal and external operation (with our keys). This is a happy end for this family that could have been a much more expensive alternative with having to buy a new lock-set.
Description of Work: My entry door combo deadbolt and lever set would no longer operate the Schlage lock-set when using the key entry externally with the proper key(s). i attempted to lubricate the lock-set with WD-40 lubricant since the lock-set has been operating efficiently for 19 years. When the repair person (Justin P.) arrived he tried to diagnose why the key(s) would not work which included removing the lock body from the entry door. He then proceeded to remove the lock body cover plate and examined the lock mechanism. Upon further inspection he saw that a steel actuator spring had broken which was the primary reason for the lock failure.

He even tried to fix one of the doors that was sticking for free. They charge $70 service call and $20 per lock to rekey. The locks are working smoothly, and I would definitely use Mr. Keys in the future.

The technician was profession and access our requirements and was able to supply the proper hardware the same day. They were on time and explained the job completely along with all of the costs. This time, I needed help with a jammed attic door lock that could not be opened with the key. I called Mr. Keys and they were very accommodating in arranging to come to my house. The locksmith opened the lock, showed me the problem and replaced the broken lock at a very fair price. Again, I was very satisfied with the repair, price and professionalism of Mr. Keys. Highly recommended.
