He gave me an estimate, made it over by about 1:30 pm, and completed all work in about 3 hours. He was very professional and at all times, and charged me what he had estimated. I was extremely satisfied with his responsiveness, the quality of his work, and thought that his price was very fair.
Description of Work: I recently had new granite counters installed in my kitchen and 2 baths, and needed a plumber to hook up 3 new faucets and reconnect 3 drains plus the disposal in the kitchen.

+ -1 moreI called regarding a Kitchen sink drain leak on the evening of 4/14/2011. I talked to Tom who is the owner. Tom offered to come right away if necessary. Since it was not an emergency I suggested that we could schedule an appointment. Tom came promptly at the specified time and did a very good quality work from what I can see. I showed few other small items for advice and Tom was not hesitant to tighten or apply some sealant which is over and above the work he had already performed. I was able to discern a sense of pride in doing high quality work. Overall I am pleased with the professionalism exhibited by Tom

+ 1 moreI was very pleased with the quality of the work and Tom's promptness and honesty. Because of that, I hired him to install a new gas hot water heater at the end of the year.
Description of Work: I got a return call that evening. As Tom and his assistant approached the front storm door to enter the house, I warned them that the closer no longer worked as a result of having been whipped open by a strong wind. Tom sent his helper to the truck to get what was needed to repair the closer, telling me that there would be no charge for the repair! I had considered replacing the boiler but consulted with my brother who's licensed in HVAC; he advised against it, noting that the boiler would last forever. I was reassured when Tom said it wasn't necessary to replace it and said that it was the right size for the house. He questioned whether it actually had been cleaned by the contractor who installed the baseboard heat for the addition that had been done last year. He showed me why and showed me the thermocoupler that needed replacing (an inexpensive piece). While he was vacuuming the boiler, his helper was working on the dripping tub faucet that was part of the new bathroom installed in the past year. It proved to be a difficult task, but with both men working on the project, they finally found the problem. The installer had soldered carelessly. Tom showed me a TINY piece of solder that jammed the faucet so the water couldn't be turned off properly. Also, Tom noticed that his helper was tracking in dirt. He drew it to the young man's attention.

Big name rooter service spent 2 hours without success and said the drain pipe was broken below the slab, and they would get back to me with an estimate (they never did). Called Mr Garon for an estimate on fixing the pipe. He came over and within an hour had removed the blockage. Saved me from a major plumbing repair job. Very professional and experienced. Reasonable (not cheap) charges. Will definitely used them again. Highly recommended.

He was very efficient and was careful covering the floor, protecting surfaces...he even polished faucets before leaving. + 0 moreHe was very good -- courteous, prompt, responsive, helping us to navigate through the GE Customer Service people, and cleaning up some issues with the previous installation, after pointing them out to me. He and his assistant drove out to the local Home Depot to get the water heater. He also tightened up the packing nut on our hose bib outdoors, which will likely save us from having to replace it. NOTE: I would not buy this brand of water heater again, and would be wary of buying from Home Depot after my experience. I suggest buying from the plumber directly, if you have the option. This is a good plumber and I would definitely use him again.
Description of Work: This was the installation of a replacement gas water heater for a defective water heater, made by Rheem, sold under the GE name by Home Depot.

They called about 30 minutes before coming, and showed up on time. They were competent and professional, cleaned things out, advised me about a burned-out ignition wire, and charged what was quoted, I would recommend them, and use them again.

+ 0 moreTom, the owner, showed up promptly during the scheduled time period. What seemed like a simple job ended up taking about 2 hours! Tom was helpful with suggestions about solutions to my sluggish drain problem. He solved the problem! My leaky kitchen faucet was very old and he replaced it with a new Kohler model. He made sure that it would hook up properly to my portable dishwasher, even making a special trip to a supply store. Considering the time involved I thought his pricing was fair, and his attitude was to do the job right, no matter how far behind schedule it put him. I would definitely recommend Garon T. Plumbing! Forget the guys who put on the booties!
Description of Work: Replaced cracked plastic shower head assembly in an outside enclosed shower with a chrome assembly. Snaked drain from the shower to the main and replaced cracked drain pipe. Replaced single lever kitchen faucet with a new one.

There was no cleaning required afterwards. I also called once before on a last minute's notice when work was being done on the bathroom. We couldn't close off one of the valves. They responded to allow work to continue in my house.

I gave the go ahead based on my confidence in Tom's responses to my questions and Angie's list ratings. The completed price what I had been quoted! No surprises in costs! Tom was very good in calling me and keeping me up to date on time of arrival for the work and there were no surprises. I will use Tom in the future if needed, based on my experience!
Description of Work: My bathroom toilet leaked inside and used a lot of water and I had to press and hold down the handle to flush the toilet.Tom rebuilt the my bathroom toilet's interior. He provided all parts. He replaced and installed a new water shut-off valve, which was leaking, to the toilet. He replaced leaking plumbing under kitchen sink, replaced sink drain and stopper. When he completed the bathroom work to move to the kitchen, the bathroom was clean and dry. He didn't leave a mess. Same with the kitchen! Tom' s kept a very clean work area and his workmanship is first class, an example of a Master Plumber.

+ -1 moreOn Sunday night, I cleaned out some of the leftover food in my refrigerator. I had a bowl of leftover pasta and put it in my Kitchen Aid garbage disposer. I've put tons of things down this disposer - bones, fat, you name it. For some reason, this pasta clogged the line. I used hot water, tried plunging it, then used draino. Nothing worked. I went to sleep that night having decided that I would try calling in the morning. I was trying to figure out how I could arrange my work schedule and work from home that day if I could get them to service me the same day. When I called, we were trying to figure out how to match our schedules when we arrived at allowing the same plumber who had serviced me only a week prior to use my 1-time guest code to enter the house while I was at work. I told him to use the credit card information from the prior week. From speaking with him the prior week, I felt that he was a good person by the conversation we had and could trust him. So, I went to work. He came in, fixed the clogged sink, left the bill on the table. When I came home that night, it was fixed. It is really a nice experience to work with people who you trust.

The reports from others led me to selecting this company. I called early Saturday morning and they were able to send someone out Saturday afternoon. He arrived between the hours they estimated. He was cordial and went to work right away. He also explained to me what the problem was and advised me about a few other potential problems to look out for. He noticed my toilet was running every so often and offered to fix it while he was there. He provided me the cost of the parts and waited to get my approval. He also cleaned up after himself and checked the bathroom to ensure he didn't leave anything there. It's nice to work with people who really care about the quality of their work and are proud of what they do.
Description of Work: Replaced the hot side lavatory faucet cartridge and re-assembled and adjusted the popup assembly. Also, replaced the fill valve and flapper for the toilet.

+ -1 moreThey were okay. They weren?t excellent, but they were nice. I wouldn?t use them for any complicated job. There was a huge leak in the bathroom. They didn?t do the work because they didn?t want to break the wall. They wanted a person who dealt with tiles, so I had to call a second plumber. However, they didn?t charge me a service call; they charged me only for what they did, but they didn?t charge me for coming out to my house. I don?t know if they were licensed. I?ll only call them for simple jobs in the future.
Description of Work: I used Garon T Plumbing and Heating. They did a leak search. They had to find the source for the leak, three months ago.
