Tom dedicated approx 2 hours winterizing the water system including two bathrooms, the hot water heater, an indoor soaking tub, the lines leading from the water meter to the house and the water lines to all outside faucets. It took a great deal of extra effort to uncover the meter from under the debris pile. I will look forward to using Tom's service any time in the future and highly recommend him to anyone in need of expert and reliable plumbing service.

I noticed on a friday night that my water heater was leaking water on the floor. I went to Angies list and found Garon Plumbing that was highly rated. I talked to them, they got the hot water heater specification s, and came the next day (saturday) to replace the unit. On-time, great people.

We just moved into our house a month ago or so and I found a leak in our garage from the water system and the garage was flooded. I didn't even know where the main switch was to turn off the water to the house (which I now know how to do). My husband was working, so I wasn't sure what plumber to call. I got on Angie's list to find a local plumber and found Garon Plumbing and Heating. I called, the owner said he'd be there in 10 minutes...he showed up, fixed the air value within 20 minutes and was done! I was quite relieved to have a professional, friendly, efficient plumber respond to our problem and fix it within the hour. Thank you Tom!

They showed up on time, made thoughtful recommendations about where to place the gas line, and did the job promptly and neatly. The only thing i wish i had done was get another estimate so I'd be more confident that the price was right. In other words, it seemed high for the time and effort involved.

They located the source of a large leak, then replaced the upstairs drains for the toilet, bathtub and sink. They also reinstalled the toilet and included a new fill valve. Bob and Kevin were courteous, punctual and professional. They are also very knowledgeable and competent. I would use them again.

I first ordered an estimate. Tom came to the house, observed the situation and provided two estimates - one the "happy path" and the other the worst case scenario where the kitchen wall behind the stove would need to be opened up. Both estimates were very reasonable for the situation, so we arranged to have the work done. On the day the work was scheduled, Tom arrived with an assistant. First let me say that I was very happy to see him - how many times have we received estimates from a principle only to have the hand-off to an associate for the actual work go badly? Anyway Tom walked in and proceeded to execute the game plan for the "happy path" estimate. And he made it happen. Awesome. When the work was done, he showed me in detail what had actually been touched. All pipes that were removed were reviewed as was the new configuration. As we were in the bonus territory, there was some additional work on my water heater in the way of a 4" exhaust vent that needed attention and Tom took care of that as well. Again there was total transparency regarding the work. There was also a very nice coupon discount at the end of it all. I am very happy wit the experience and plan to continue our association with Garon T Plumbing.

Called at 10am this morning, had a toilet beyond plunging. Asked if an emergency I said no, said be there by end of day, keep in mind it is Saturday. Called me 5 hours later and told me they could not come he was stuck at a job. Since it is Saturday and now they call me at 3pm its too late to get someone else. Thanks for nothing!

It did not go well at first, because I waited all day for the plumber who had an appointment with me at 2pm. I called at 3pm and was told that I was on the list and not to worry. At 4pm I received a call that the plumber was not coming due to one of the plumbers getting sick and the other on vacation. The owner Mr. Garon called me the next day apologizing for this problem and explaining what had happen and that he had been on the road and did not have my phone number. Of course he could have called the office and obtained my number. I did accept his reason and rescheduled the appointment for the following Saturday, and Mr. Garon arrived on time and completed the job professionally. I would use his company again because sometimes things happen which you can not control.

First, they brought the wrong toilet so they had to go back to Tom's River to get a new one, which is about an hour away. They come back an hour and a half later and put the toilet in in about 2 seconds. The other night I noticed its now leaking. I then had to remind them about the 25% off for Angie's List members.

I just noticed the company's response to my earlier posting. I can now see that in an effort to make himself not look quite as bad, he posted a response that was not honest or correct. The filth in the system that was noticed was not because the toilets needed to refill because THEY WERE NEVER EVEN FLUSHED and furthermore, he himself shut off the water line leading to the house so all the water that was in those lines was the same as it was before he started the job. The dirt and filth the was put into my water system was a direct result of him not cleaning the old parts properly. I now give him a" F" for honesty

They were absolutely wonderful. They responded quickly. They pointed out little things that they thought should be fixed.

After getting a quote from another vendor (for more than double the cost), I called Garon T, having used them before for smaller plumbing issues. Tom Garon, the owner, was at our house within 1 hour of the call to help with our emergency. He was extremely professional, answered all of my questions respectfully, provided a reasonable quote, and was then able to get the new water heater installed within a few hours. The work was done well, improvements were made to the plumbing (he didn't just do the minimum work needed - he made it better), and when the work was done - they cleaned up after themselves - even putting the wet towels we'd used around the leaking water heater into the wash for me, and wiping up the floor in the laundry room. I was very impressed. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely be using them again for any plumbing needs we have. I would highly recommend them to family and friends.

I had certain parts that I bought because I'd thought to do it myself. He said not to use them & to use the existing fittings. The old filter had brass fittings that were loaded with corrosion. He claimed he brushed them off, but when I flushed the toilet I saw a lot of particulate matter right after the job. He said it was matter that broke off from inside the pipes - I don't see how that much matter could've come from there. I get the feeling he didn't clean them as well as he said he did. I also asked him about installation of a sump pump & a couple other questions - I just felt I got a bad attitude from him. We're buying bottled water until I can get the system flushed out for sure.

Called for same day service. I was called back with a 2 hour window and Tom Garon (owner) arrived during the early part of that window. Pleasant, helpful and did the work quickly and without mess. He was concerned about keeping my home clean and did some extra cleaning after snaking the toilet. It was a simple job but he treated it with respect. I was embarrassed but he made me feel like it happens to other people. Talked to me about how to prevent the clog from happening again and recommended a different plunger for me to buy. He also reminded me of the $25.00 coupon on Angie's list that I had seen but forgotten about.

He is a local person. He is very reliable and conscientious. He guarantees all his work. It was costly. They passed the inspection from the city so there was no problem. I did have a question about the work that was done. They answered the question promptly and guaranteed it. I wasn’t happy; he was willing to make it right. I could not have asked for more that there was a guarantee that I would be a satisfied customer.

I'm new to Angie's List and needed to replace the bathroom sink, faucet and valves. When I saw the rating and reviews for Garon T Plumbing, I phoned them. Michelle acknowledged my call within 40 minutes and said the owner would call me that evening, which he did as promised. When Tom arrived for the appointment, he noticed that the water heater grill was dirty and showed me how to remove and clean it and said to be sure to clean it every three months as that could impact the performance of the water heater over time. I appreciated the tip very much and was glad he was willing to take the time to offer his knowledge and experience. He then replaced the bathroom fixtures. The sink and faucet he brought are perfect. The job was done in about 1-1/2 hours and it looks great! I will call Garon T every time!

I enjoyed the services that they provided. They were very good. I was very happy with them. They were excellent and they did a very good job. I will certainly use them again in the future.

My washing machine was discharging water and instead of going down the drain it backed up into my bathtub. I called them since they had cleaned out the vent pipe before. I have 2 long haired cats and their hair sticks to clothes that are washed and that is why the washing machine backs into tub. This happens about every 2 years. In the past I called other plumbers and they seemed to be unable to solve the problem and told me that it was due to the position of the washing machine. I called Garon T in desperation (after the first time this happened about 5 years ago) and have been using them ever since for my plumbing needs.

I had actually used him about 4 or 5 years ago, but had forgot about him and then I was searching on Angie's List website and remembered him and picked him up. He has a location in Toms River. I had a pretty good experience with him. I've only used him twice. I had used him back in 2006 or 2007. It was really cold last winter, but he really dealt with what I wanted. He came in and he got it running. He came back later that day and he finally got the part and fixed it, but the service was done on a Sunday which is unusual and that's why I went back to him.
