About us
No job to big or small. We do local moves, out of state moves and cross country moves. We been in this line of work for 20+ years. We also provide packing. Fully insured. When it comes to pricing we are more than fair.
Run, don't walk from this company. They are a broker, have a relationship with Cobra Van Lines and they are awful. My wife have been in Asheville now, coming up on a month, and still don't have our furniture!

The initial conversations with Exclusive were very positive. I contacted them for a move from the west coast to back east, a total of about 2,200 miles, for a two-bedroom home. The ability to get a quote was easy, as was scheduling. I was however not made aware that they were a broker (even though it is on the website, which I saw much later, this is important information and should be disclosed up front!) and that's where things went very bad. The two men who came to collect our belongings looked shocked that we were moving a whole house. They did not come with tools to take apart furniture as Exclusive promised and instead used a lot of tape in an attempt to secure things like the furniture pads over large pieces. The pick-up was on a Sunday and they left our belongings in the driveway for several hours, out in the hot SoCal sun, while I worked out the difference in cost with the dispatcher (yeah, it was drastically different than quoted), who wanted me to pay in cash (no way was I doing that; they ultimately took a check for the difference). As if all that wasn't infuriating enough, they did not keep in touch about the schedule, so I had no idea when our belongings would arrive. I reached out to Exclusive several times and was told the delivering company would be in touch (they were, sort of -- they called me several times and left maybe one message that I didn't check right away as I was in the midst of other things). When I answered, the dispatcher, who did not speak professionally, told me they were delivering the next day. Upon arrival, we were greeted with three people: the driver and two workers. The driver made it clear that he was only there to drive (he spent the 11 hours they were at our property in the truck). They arrived at 10 AM or so as we were the first stop. However, our belongings were all the way on the inside of the trailer, which did not have side doors. The worker (note the singular -- one worker left after seeing the scope of the job) put at least half of someone else's house on our lawn as he made a tunnel to get to our stuff. The local job leader came out with another worker, but he got them situated and left. He explained that he had his children that day (it was Sunday) and could not stay, which isn't his fault. So, there were two men to work out unloading all our stuff. In the meantime, I'm in conversation with the dispatcher; it's again a Sunday and they only take cash, Venmo, CashApp, money orders, cashier's check. I wasn't able to do any of those and hadn't been given enough notice ahead of time. In the end, I was able to pay the balance, which seemed the biggest issue. They used tape directly on my metal filing cabinets instead of covering them with furniture pads and I've spent extra on pro-level adhesive remover to clean them up enough for use. It seems that nearly every box marked 'fragile' was punted down the 50-yard line. We have broken items to content with, including my office desk. They lost my fiance's 6-foot ladder and made no comment. Now, I can't get answers to calls or emails to support about filing a claim. Did I mention that the pick-up driver shoved the paperwork for my signature under my nose when I was at the height of frustration after having already ticked the box for minimal claims coverage (which amounts to about 60 cents per pound or something)? Yeah, that. Now that it's all done, I can't get an answer from the Support email at Exclusive. The drop-off day when I called their number, the young lady who answered was so not helpful; she spent more time apologizing and telling me how I could send an email, which would go to management. Cierra, one of the managers, I'd dealt with before. She was completely not helpful and seemed to talk to me like all this was my fault. The initial reply I received after asking about how to file a claim got me the email and phone number to the company that took the job (remember, Exclusive is a broker). I've gotten no answer to the emails I sent to the actual company. The phone number doesn't have voicemail set up. When I did get the dispatcher (who answered the phone with 'hello' and no company name), he said he was driving to his office and could I call him in an hour. I wasn't able to do that because of my work and haven't been able to get him since. At this point, I'm taking this as a big emotional loss. I am working with my homeowner's to try and get some recompence for the broken and missing items. I've also filed complaints with BBB. Oh -- and this company was affiliated with another, called Nationwide. I filed with the BBB in Nationwide's state and they kindly got back to me to tell me that they stopped being affiliated with Exclusive. Check around and you'll see all the horrid complaints about this company. Save yourself the headache and go with anyone else. Make sure they aren't a broker but the actual moving company. I did that when I moved from the east coast out west and it cost about as much as I paid these folks; however, the service was totally different. Whoever you go with, get them to come out, look at your stuff, and give you an estimate (these folks did it all by phone and put 'box' instead of clearly identifying that we had wardrobe boxes, XL boxes, small boxes, etc.).

This is/was the worst moving experience. I was sold on false details. Next, the company didn't follow through on any of the things they had promised from the initial conversation. They booked me for the wrong amount of space on the truck, didn't detail any of the additional costs, hired a pick up company that was rude, and over 24 hours late for the pick up time, lied about the delivery time leaving me without my items for more than 7 days. I can keep going. Lastly, I have called numerous times and I haven't gotten a call back. This might be my first move, and it's definitely my LAST with a company like this - STAY AWAY.

The absolute worst company Ive ever dealt with. Once we signed the contract, we didnt hear from them until we threatened legal action. Then they dumped on another horrible moving company feom WA- Tacoma movers. They were even worse. It has been over a month and we still dont have all of our possessions. What furniture they did deliver was all damaged. They have also been very slow to respond about our damage claims. Horrible. Just horrible.
