He and his helper John were just wonderful. They were careful about cleanliness and clean up. They were on time each day. They consulted me on every design choice. The workmanship was of top quality. They worked from 8am to about 4pm without taking a lunch break. This is all that Sal does. He works on tile, marble, ceramic, concrete and granite. He does bathroom and kitchen remodels and patios. I will use them when I am ready to change my kitchen counter tops.
Description of Work: I have a typical 1950's shower stall with a light in the ceiling. I wanted to re-tile this shower stall without remodeling the whole bathroom. I also had a hole in the tile floor from plumbing work that had been done. I had gotten several estimates but most contractors did not want to do a small job and their prices were over $3000. Sal was recommended by a tile company already on Angie's List so I called him. He gave me a price of $2600 to do the shower, the floor repair and replace the electrical fixture in the shower ceiling. He would do the job in three days. I had to buy the tile, the grout and the electrical fixture. The demolition was really a big job. The old tiles were thick and under the tiles was what looked to me to be circles of concrete. They did it right back in 1950. There was no 'Wonderboard'. Once the demolition was complete Sal showed me that everything was in great condition. Sal prepared the walls and poured a new floor....not sure what the material was. Sal made sure he clearly understood how I wanted the tile to be set and consulted me if another decision had to be made. He was great to work. Sal had his helper John with him and he was a pleasure.
