We knew that we were in need of a new roof, and obtained estimates from many other contractors. Venegas seemed to be the most knowedgable and honest of all of those we met with. After the job was finished, we knew that we made the right choice! We could not be happier with the job that was done!

Johnny responded to my call promptly and showed up on time. As with the previous job I had used this company for, the job was done professionally and conscientiously with attention to detail. I don't understand a couple of the other posts. Maybe the reviews were applied to the wrong Venegas Construction company as there were a couple of others listed.

Although it was a small job, they did a few little extras to make the repair extra secure. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating of my schedule.

I want them to come back out to fix it and change to positioning of the pipes. They told me that they can't come back out to see the frozen pipes until they actually freeze again. The toilet doesn't work and the tub doesn't work. I also have a kitchen upstairs on the second floor and it affects the kitchen pipes that also run to the back of the house.

When they changed the piping they ran it through the floor and under the crawl space so my pipes are literally sitting on the outside of the house. This was a situaiton they promised wouldn't happen and now the pipes are frozen and the water is not draining from the tub. I have attempted to get ahold of them but I can't get through to their phone number and this is a situation that desperately needs to be addressed. Last year I actually had to pay someone twice to deal with busted pipes and this has just been a nightmare.

They were in & out in 1 Day.I did not find a scrap left after the install,not even a stray nail or piece of shingle.The roof looks great.They were $1200.00 cheaper than my other estimates.

They had started the job and less then half way done, they left the job with the money we had paid up front. We have had various attempts to reach them, and they will not came back to finish the job. We now had to hire someone else as my home was not even livable.

I'm always very disappointed when I make an appointment with a contractor and take the time off from work to meet them and they do not show up.

They didn?t call us back for a few days. When they finally came out, their estimate was about $1000 higher than the next highest estimate.

I asked them to come back to talk about the quote, but they never got back to me.

Overall - Venegas did very good work for a very reasonable price. They were professional and punctual. They were polite, clean and good workers. Pricing was essentially what I had estimated, with a few changes due to changes in the project. Dormer - The dormer went well and is lovely. The work was always professional and well done. The framer saved the attic plans when it became apparent that the architect had made a significant problem. The framer worked with the architect to redesign the framing and come up with a new solution. Then Venegas reworked the framing with the new changes and only charged me for minimal labor and supplies. There were some delays, but mostly due to my travel schedule and/or inability to be home at all times I needed to be there. They handled all of the permitting and interactions with the city - which was a huge help. Railing - They installed a custom railing that is both lovely and extremely solid. They drilled down into the flooring and attached it to the floor joists. Roofing - I am very happy with the look and quality of the roofing. The gutters are great and they drain SO much better than the last ones I had. Fencing - The fence is very nice and went quickly.

The company is made up of 2 brothers. Herbert, one of the brothers, came out and did an estimate for me. I was very pleased how he presented himself. The comments about the company were very good and I was very pleased. He was on time, articulate, and understood what I was looking for. He didn't give me a proposal, and cannot comment on price. I would hire him without question, but I decided to go a different route that was more cost effective.

Overall, the project went well. There were a few scheduling issues and delays along the way, but my wife and I are very happy with the overall craftsmanship and quality of work we received from Venegas. Johnny was very responsive to my concerns and worked with me to correct any deficiencies I noted and design changes that I requested. Initially I hired Venegas only for the dormer construction. I was so pleased with the dormer construction and how well it blended in with the rest of the house that I decided to use Venegas for the attic renovation. I will definitely consider using Venegas for future work around my house, in particular for a basement renovation scheduled for 2009.

They were great. Easy to communicate with, very polite and extremely proud of their own work.

They were on time, very neat and the estimate was right on target.

I hired someone from another company to paint my house. He recommended that I hire Mr. Venegas to repair the Masonite. He removed the Masonite and replaced it with cedar siding. I think his work was excellent. I will use him for future jobs. His workmen were wonderful. I will give the highest rating I could give him.
