I called on a Tuesday and spoke to the woman who answered the phone requesting to have someone come out for an estimate. No call. I called back on Wednesday and the same woman told me that she left a note but he (Marvin) probably didn't call back because I wouldn't be home until after 6PM. I told her that it still would've been good to call me regardless just to schedule an appointment. Still waiting. I am done. I am giving a D for Professionalism only because the woman I spoke to was pleasant, otherwise I would give them an F for no callback.

We have owned our house for 5 years. There is a very large and tall tree in the back yard which we found out is called a triple maple. In other words, right at the base it splits into 3 trunks. With our wild weather we were really afraid it would come crashing down on the house. I found this company on Angie's List. I called them and they said the owner Marvin would be out to take a look at the tree and we would get an estimate by email. When the estimate came it offered 2 options. One to trim back and cable the tree, a second to take it down. Marvin emphasized that the tree was healthy and could be saved. We really wanted to do so, so we opted to have it trimmed back and cabled. The crew showed up on time, the guy that climbed up in the tree was amazing, I was very impressed with his skill. Marvin showed up to make sure everything was going well. They thinned out the tree to make it less effected by wind gusts and cabled the 3 trunks together with aircraft cable. The crew was friendly and cleaned up after themselves. The whole process took about 3 hours and now we don't have to worry about our favorite tree. All I can say is use this company. The are not rated A by everyone for no reason.

The crew was courteous and professional. The work was completed within one week of the initial call. The price was lower than one other bidder. The clean-up was well done.

The owner came out for an estimate and was very professional. The next day they came and took out a stump and a small tree. We had new sod and were nervous about tearing it up and so they came in from the side of the yard and took extra care. Overall excellent job!

The owner, Marvin, came out, took his time measuring and did a detailed written estimate, including a numbered diagram of all the work to be done. We agreed that his crew would come out on two occasions, first the same week to clear the smaller trees, stumps and at a separate time to get the large tree. We had gotten another estimate in the same ballpark for the smaller trees but they didn't want to give us an estimate for the larger tree without PSE&G. Marvin gave us a firm estimate and said that he would let his crew decide if they could safely do the larger tree without PSE&G. They came on time on both occasions and manuvered their equipment up our narrow driveway without damaging ours or neighbors property. They were efficient, courteous and cleaned up well. They were also able to assess the property and plan a removal of the larg tree without PSE&G, which meant it could be done much quicker. Marvin came out after the first job to inspect and make sure they had enough access for the second. We agreed that a second tree might need removal for access by the bucket truck and the crew did remove it, but this was not charged. The price quoted was the price paid and from estimate to completion was 2 weeks. I really couldn't recommend them higher.

Company did exactly what we asked and evidence of there being no issues of what was do e was Superstorm Sandy came after the tree service was done. We had no trees that fell after the storm.

The went very well, they were quick and efficient, and got the job done right. The company was very responsive in getting back to me, and the technicians they employ are highly skilled.

We contacted Happy Trees for an estimate. Marvin was excellent. We had two oak trees in our yard that needed pruning as well as our magnolia tree. He even pointed out that our Magnolia tree basically had a root that was choking the tree and basically the tree was slowly dying. So he corrected the problem. He and his crew were excellent. I would definitely be using his services again in the future.

Got several quotes from local contractors. Marvin came by, was pleasant and professional, and did a survey of all the trees on my property and the cost to address each issue. I engaged Marvin to do part of the work he surveyed. His men showed up on time and with great attitudes and work ethic. The five men did a splendid job, including me in their decisions and strategy in tackling each tree. They cleaned up and carried off all evidence of their visit. i really liked these guys and would highly recommend their services. i will use them again in the Fall.

We are repeat customers of Happy Tree. Last August, we came home from vacation right after Hurricane Irene to find a big tree down blocking our driveway with no way up to the house. Marvin happened to be nearby and came with a crew and chipper and within hours we were clear. Great service- great team.

They were great and i got many different prices as well so they weren't only fairly priced but did a great job

The guys arrived on time and got right to work. The job was done in the amount of time they estimated, and they cleaned up thoroughly. The tree still looks full and healthy but it needed a trim, and needed to be cut back from the house. We now get just the right amount of filtered sunlight on our front yard. I was glad we decided to do the cabling, as the hurricane hit a week later and we felt very secure with that decision. Overall, we are very happy with the work they performed, and the price was right.

A friend referred this company after being very satisfied with over $3000 worth of work. They ask that you start by leaving a message at the main number. Call was returned following day --owner personally does estimates. Received written estimate for modest charge to remove 20 ft tree near phone and power lines. Job started with small 10% deposit. Workers were friendly and careful--power lines and shrubbery were untouched. Very neat work--not even a wood chip left. Final cost was precisely as estimated.

Marvin had come by and looked at our site. He gave us a great estimate but we ended up not going with him because our insurance company ended up paying for the project and hired their own person.

We had used Happy Trees before and wanted them to return for a tree removal when a rather large tree died and was dropping branches around our yard as well as our neighbors. We called Martin and he came by as expected for an estimate. He was thorough and explained everything in detail. We had several dead trees in the back yard and needed them to be removed. Martin listened to our wants and then instructed us about his recommendations and even taught us several things about the trees that grew on our property. We gave him the approval to do the work and as expected his troops showed up in a timely fashion to complete the job. It took two days but when they left you could barely tell they'd even been there.They had all trees and their branches removed and the stumps were ground This was a repeat of the first experience we'd had with Happy Trees back a few years ago. We purchased our home with a 80 year old Pin Oak tree (100ft tall) that hadn't had any maintainence in as many years. Martin and his crew raised the canopy of the Pin Oak and brought the tree back to life it is truely majestic now!- my next door neighbors saw the crew and was impressed with their work and had Happy Trees take care of some tree work they'd needed just a few days later. We will be calling Happy Trees with any future tree work.

The owner, Marvin came by and did an estimate (without me having to be there) and then performed all the work in a prompt and workmanlike manner. His price was better than several others I spoke to and he returned my call very quickly. He's very easy to work with.
