I have reached out to contractor by phone and certified mail since installation November 2018 to adjust some of his work, for example, entering the driveway is like going up a curb. While waiting the driveway appears to have developed dips where the base was apparently not properly secured. Gordon has made no effort to respond to satisfy our contract.

My fault for succumbing to high pressure sales pitch from a contractor that came to my door who was working in the neighborhood. The surface the driveway was very porous and required more sealer than it should have. The cracks appeared 4 months after the job was done and after a 500.00 sealer job was applied . After repeated calls no one ever called back.

Went good actually....Tom was very professional....the job looks great....but the proof lies ahead....see me in a few years and I'll see how everything holds up....I'll be happy to report back and let everyone know....till then, so far so good.

Existing driveway has been resurfaced several times since the home was built in 1966. Other than bi-annual seal coating I have not done any maintenance in 37 years here. Cracks were too numerous and too large for seal coating to be effective and much earlier resurfacing prohibited further build up at garage door and walkway interfaces. I kept putting off replacement and toyed with idea of pavers or cement until estimates from landscapers showed asphalt would be half their price or less. Other priorities intruded and I decided in October 2015 to wait until the Spring. George from G Gordon Paving knocked on my door awakening me on a day off. They were doing a job nearby, passed my driveway and noted it's condition. Since they were already mobilized he could repave my driveway that afternoon at a reduced price. He offered to widen the drive by 6 inches, and would move and straighten the coblestone borders which had come out of line over the years . My driveway is 40' long and tapers from a 16' width at the two car garage to 14' at the sidewalk. He quoted $2,500; it seemed reasonable and lower than two landscaper's had estimated. He provided a written estimate. Price include, in addition to widening and straightening of coble, o Removal of existing pavement as needed for tight flush finish at cement to assure proper drainage. o Apply vegetation killer if needed. o nstall base coat of blacktop as needed in order to provide a strong foundation and level surface. o Blacktop to be laid at approx. 2" thick They had but one review on Angies List and had an A overall. I decided to go for it. Their crew of 6 arrived afternoon with a bobcat, dump truck, steam roller, rakes and shovels. Between 2" and 4" of old asphalt was removed using bobcat and shovels at borders to get down to what was likely the original asphalt surface.It appeared to provide a good solid base. They worked steadily, did a good job, cleaned up afterward and, as far as I can tell now three days later, I'm satisfied . Neighbors across the way saw the work and liked the price. Three signed similar contracts and had their drives done and I see George knocking on still other doors in the neighborhood.. .

The jobs performed by G Gordon Paving were excellent! They replaced my driveway in July, and did a really nice job. Their work was so good, that several neighbors also had their driveways done about the same time. They came back on 11/18/14 to seal the driveway. Again, they did an excellent job! While they were here, they also did a couple of general contracting jobs that needed to be done - replaced my Chimney Cap and repaired the flashing and concrete caps on my chimney. They also repaired and coated a flat roof for me. These guys are really good! Professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They and their crews are punctual and work hard. They do great work and take care of your property. They leave the site looking clean and neat! I was very satisfied with their work and have recommended them to my friends!
