DLP Electric

I had an electrical issue in my kitchen and the power to main floor went out. I ended up having a back switch that needed to be replaced. I was quickly contacted to understand the issue, and DLP Electric was willing to come out today, however I had already just hired a technician from another company to handle (right before I spoke to DLP). Having said that, DLP Electric was professional and very helpful, and I would hire them if I ever needed electric work performed in my house. Great customer service and very responsive.

There is not enough time in the world to write so many great things about DLP Electric. After purchasing a new home, the guys helped me hazard proof all of the electrical elements before I moved my toddler and new born in. From installing new lights & a new smart doorbell to updating all of the outlets, DLP Electric did a phenomenal job and I’m so glad my realtor recommended them. Moreover, they are high in demand in the area and were very accommodating in fitting my home into their schedule. They work accurately, quickly, and clean up is thorough. I will be using DLP Electric for all of my needs.

Very happy with service. Was having a problem with my outdoor outlet and motion sensor light over the garage. Came replaced outlet and light fixture. This work was done Dec 2022. Would definitely recommend and plan on hiring again.

this company came highly recommended, so i gave them an opportunity. i met with the owner of DLP Electric, Don. he was very professional and very knowledgeable. he described every step of the project, and then provided me with a detailed estimate. the job exceeded my expectations. they did it in a reasonable amount of time, and the cleanup was amazing. this is now my goto company for any future electrical needs. i will recommend them to anyone with confidence, knowing that they will do a great job like they did for me. thank you Don. thank you DLP Electric.

DLP literally saved our lives. Another company switched outlets incorrectly and the result was phantom voltage which could have been fatal. We needed immediate assistance and DLP should up the next day. They corrected the issue and explained what was done. Very thorough and knowledgeable Don and team did a great job. They put us at ease and will be doing more work for us in the near future. We can’t thank them enough.

I was extremely happy with the jobs that Dlp did. My home looks beautiful now. He was courteous, knowledgeable and was on time with his response. Would definitely hire again and will refer him to all my friends.

Don is a straight shooter. I was concerned about calling an electrician based on what I heard in terms of price. Doing my research and seeing all of the positive reviews about Don and his company, DLP Electric (and being local), I reached out for him to come by my house, and quote me for new recessed lighting along with other electrical updates needed. He was professional, consultative, transparent and what I believe to be, fair with his pricing. Don isn't a transactional guy, he's relationship-oriented knowing that one job he performs may lead to another. I also referred him to my neighbors who have worked with him multiple times too.

Do not recommend using DLP electric. Don came to us highly recommended, so we were hoping to have a great experience, but unfortunately, we had MANY issues with his service. 1. Don took over a month to start our electric work after we had already paid a deposit- his helper was injured, so we understood. 2. On day one he cut our internet wire- lied and said it was just our cable or phone line so we weren’t worried as we only have internet. That night we found out it actually was our internet. He then told us to call Verizon and lie that a tree fell on the wire and took it out. I understand mistakes happen, but the dishonesty is a big issue. 3. He broke a $200 item in our basement and never said anything. My husband and I heard glass break, but assumed it was just a lightbulb or something as any business owner with integrity would admit to breaking something in someone’s house. We confronted him about this later when we found it broken and he denied it. The majority of the glass was removed and cleaned up so he obviously knew it was broken. Once again, I would not have even cared if he just owned up to his mistake. 4. We never had any issues with our breaker previous to Don’s work. Now, our microwave trips the breaker at least weekly if not more. 5. Don installed a new line for our EV charger (replacing one we already had). We now cannot fully charge our car without the breaker tripping multiple times. We have even set our charge mode to a lower setting, but it still trips the breaker. We now will be paying another electrician to fix Don’s bad electrical work. I never write bad reviews, but this experience was absolutely awful.

Fantastic. Was easy to get an estimate and schedule the work. Installation was fast. Don went above and beyond to help get necessary permits and when we ran into work approval, went to bat for us and did the legwork with the state to support our case. Highly recommend his team.

An outlet overheated a couple of nights ago and shorted another outlet with it. After hearing a pop and a burning smell, I knew I would need an electrician, so I reached out to DLP Electric since they're not too far from where I live and received a response from Don within 20 minutes. We scheduled a time to him and his teammate to come the very next morning. Communication was great and he and his teammate arrived on time. The consultation was free and the work was very reasonably priced. I also really appreciate that they made themselves available to come out before another job that morning. And both of them were incredibly friendly and safe, wearing masks while doing the repair. Both shorted outlets were diagnosed and repaired in roughly 30 minutes. Amazing! I'll definitely be calling him again for more electrical work in the future. Thank you so much again Don!

No job too small. I’d been looking for months to have a dining-room light installed. Don responded fast, provided a reasonable quote, gave me a choice of a few install dates, arrived early and finished before the estimated time. He was professional, friendly and personable. Quality Work from a seasoned professional. Call Don. You won’t be disappointed.

Don is nothing short of fantastic. Professional, fast, helpful, friendly, tidy, careful, even funny. He's actually done work at our house a few times, which we bought a couple years ago. One thing I'll say -- Don was one of a few electricians we had look the house over when we bought it. And it was Don who spotted the fact that our external electrical hook up was mismatched to our panel in the house. A danger. We didn't end up working with Don on that job -- but looking back, I absolutely wish we had. As a first time homeowner, I've spent the last two years learning how invaluable it is to have the number of a plumber, an electrician, and a general contractor who you trust and can depend on. Don is that guy for us now. And as long he's working, he's going to be the guy we call for anything electrical.

Don was professional, friendly, and will definitely be our go to electrician from now on. He came in, assessed the issue quickly, and explained what he was doing as he was fixing it. We've used a few local electricians in the area over the years and Don was by far the most competent.

Amazing! Don is great! I wanted a light fixture changed in the stairway of my townhome. NOT EASY! Don took the time to assess how he would position the ladder at the top landing to reach the fixture. Then he had to lean over the open space, get to the existing fixture, remove it and install the new one. I held my breath through the entire process. He did it! The new light looks beautiful and really updates the house. I would definitely recommend Don to anyone looking for an electrician. Thank you.

I reached out to Don about adding an electrical outlet above my fireplace and the next day he came out for an estimate. He was able to come out within a week to do the work for a very fair price! Both days that he and his partner came over, they were early! They completed the work quickly and efficiently - very friendly and professional. If I need any more electrical work in the future I will definitely be calling DLP!

I found DLP when I had an emergency over Labor Day weekend. Even though they were not working they still came by to help. As a new home owner he put my mind at ease. Then I rehires him to install new fixtures. Showed up on time, did the job professionally and even pitched in to help with some help that went above and beyond. I highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again.
