DLP Electric

Donald came out on the weekend on short notice during a snow storm. After installing the light he took the time to walk through the house and talk about some additional work for the future. Super nice and professional guy. We will use him again!

Don came to my house to install the new 20-amp outlets. Don was very personable and he and his assistant did an exceptional job, very clean and neat. Don also helped me trouble shoot an electrical connection in my garage (at no additional charge) which with his a advice I was able to repair that connection myself. Great Job

Installation went very well. Don is professional, explains how he will complete a job, and gives exact cost before starting. I will call him again when the need arises and I recommend him without reservation.

Don did a solid job and I will use him again. He went the extra mile of clearing up a bird nest near the power lines?the PSEG guy had refused to come near the power lines till that was cleared.

Had recently purchased a house that needed some electrical and lighting work. Decided on DLP Electric after receiving a reasonable itemized quote. DLP Electric was professional, accommodating to my schedule, kept good communication throughout the process, and was prompt with the all appointments. Don and Pat were both helpful and friendly. Would definitely use DLP again in the future.

Out of all the companies that I called, he was the only one to respond and willing to come to take a look at the work that needed to be done without telling that it was either to small or the location to far. Don is definitely skilled and a professional at what he does. He was able to quickly determine exactly what needed to be done to get the work completed in a timely manner. This was extremely important since I was under a tight time frame to get everything done. One of the things that I appreciated most about Don was that he was prompt and arrived at exactly at the time that he said he was going to arrive. I did not have to play a waiting game or call multiple times to see if he was actually going to show up or not. This was a great help to me since there were deadlines that I needed to meet. And anytime I had a question Don responded promptly and provided the answers to all my questions. The inspections for the work done also past on the first attempt. I did not have to deal with anything needing to be redone since the work was done correctly. The work was also neatly done and no garbage was left behind. I would definitely use DLP again - and recommend to others - for any electrical services that need to be done.

There was confusion about the service area covered by DLP in the Angies List listing. This has been cleared up amd Don has been professional and responsive to my situation. I would use DLP for future electrical needs.

Don was great! He was able to come out the same day that I got in touch with him. He was professional and gave me a great price. He was able to replace the switch and hang a new lighting fixture. We had an issue with the fixture and he came back the next day to fix the problem at no additional charge. I would definitely recommend Don to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled electrician.

There was some confusion about the listing of the service area covered by DLP. Don contacted me about the mixup and was very professional and responsive to my situation. I would surely use DLP for my future electrical needs.

Don and his partner were VERY accommodating to our needs and busy schedule. They were always on their toes and offered alternative ways to install our electrical components which turned out to be more efficient and less costly, all while letting us know what is and isn't up to code. His experience and know-how were very much appreciated. DLP Electric has a permanent place in our rolodex, (dating ourselves) -LOL!

Don was extremely knowledgeable and professional from the first time we spoke via phone. He is one of the most responsive service providers i've had, and was onsite to survey the work within a couple days from our that first conversation. He quickly gave us a transparent line-item estimate for various jobs around the house we had showed him during walk through. We prioritized based on our budget and Don accommodated our request to do the work in phases. Not only was Don very patient about answering questions, he was very good about advising us on the generator we were going to purchase - something that he did not have to do and is not something he profits from. I was even able to email him links to various generator reviews and get his feedback. Near the end of the project, we had a small fire in our kitchen and Don came over shortly thereafter and was very helpful in explaining the situation and how we could solve that problem at a reasonable cost making sure we have a safe home. We were always at ease having Don in our home with our young son and dog.

Don was excellent! I called several highly-rated, local electricians first thing in the morning because we needed the blown circuit fixed ASAP. DLP Electric was the first company to respond (by several hours) and Don was able to come in later that morning. He was very professional and able to diagnose the problem right away. He talked me through exactly what he was doing (I'm a new homeowner, so this was huge) and even gave his professional opinions on a few projects we have lined up. We will definitely be going to Don for our future electrical needs!

It was okay did not label all the panels. He did however do a great job with the circuit in the garage.

The experience was exactly what I wanted. Don Pratola (owner) responded quickly to my email and came out the next day to the house to check out what needed to be done and provide an estimate for work. He was very responsive by email (which is really important to me), worked with me to price the job fairly, and completed the work efficiently and on time. Most of all, he demonstrated that he wanted the job, and his actions supported this. I have more work to do, and I'm definitely using him again.

A couple of the light fixtures were difficult to assemble or in difficult installation locations and Don did a great job with everything and even hauled away all the old fixtures. He's very professional, very friendly and I would absolutely use him again. In fact Don will be back later this week to change out some light switches. His price is very reasonable compared to other electricians I have used. Highly recommend.

I own a rental property and the 2nd floor unit kept tripping a breaker due to air conditioning use. Not a huge deal, save the fact that they were reliant on the downstairs tenant being home to reset the breaker. The net result was the need for a new circuit which needed to be run externally. I reached out to Don at 5:00 PM and received a call back at 7:30 PM and he came to look things over the next day. Two days after that the job was done and done well. Communication, timelines, professionalism and cost were all excellent. I'll by using Don again whenever the need arises.

Don was very clear in his explanation of what needed to be done. He promised that he would try to find good parts at the cheapest price and he did. He was punctual and finished the work in a timely manner. I would definitely use Don's services again!

After sometime of being frustrated with this issue, I finally relented and called for help. Don Pratola quickly responded to my request and came out the same day. He's very fair in the way he works in that he explained to me on the phone he'd diagnose the problem 1st and only charge me if he were to repair something. Most others want to charge $100 just to come to your house. Don set up an appt. the same day at a time that fit very well with my work-at-home work schedule. He was on time, very professional and engaging. He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained it to me and stuck around to test the solution before offering advice on how we could avoid the issue in the future. Lastly, he assured me that I could call him back in if the problem were to arise again. Don values his professional reputation and it's easy to see he's an expert. In short, he's a good guy who does an excellent job. I'm likely to make DLP Electric my preferred provider for electrical issues.

Don was right on time and completed the work quickly and expertly. He cleaned up as he worked and moved the furniture for us. He is a really nice person and we will him again when we need electrical work done.

I called DLP Electric after losing power to the upstairs lights and outlets. The circuit breaker hadn't tripped but we had no power. Don was able to come over right away and diagnosed a faulty circuit breaker switch. He was able to quickly fix the switch. I also called DLP Electric on another occasion for emergency Sunday service. Don was able to come over the same day and fix the problem. I found DLP Electric's rates to very competitive and have been pleased with the services provided.
