In addition to finding DLP through Angie's list, I also asked for recommendations on my township Facebook page and DLP received the most recommendations. Don was punctual, professional and even fixed something on my screen door that he saw was broken. He took time to ask about the project and why replacements were necessary - which actually led to me receiving two replacement lights from Restoration Hardware. Having Don's explanation that the problem was faulty equipment made it easy to get the exchange. The price ended up being a bit higher than expected but overall DLP provided excellent service and I would hire them again and recommend them to others.

Don Pratola and his worker were thorough, professional, honest, and all in all, can be trusted.

I was surprised at the fast response to my call. What was even more surprising, was the punctuality upon his arrival. He was friendly and courteous. He got the job done right away. We will definitely call him back for all our future Electrical projects.

Don and his partner did a great job. We initially asked him to give us an estimate on what we needed. He was honest, professional and explained everything in detail what he would have to do. When he came back to do the job, he confirmed the appointment and was on time. He did a great job and explained things as he went. He cleaned up afterwards, so I was really happy with that:) I would definitely work with him again. His prices are reasonable, he's reliable/professional and does really good work.

Don and Pat came by Saturday to see the butcher job a "hack unlicensed electrician" did for me the day before. Came in for about 15 minutes to assess the situation and remedies I needed to remove some outlets and wiring. They sent me a quote the following day, came by 2 days later, and finished everything in less than 2 hours. They are efficient and very attentive and cleaned up any drywall they had to remove as a result of the job. They quote prices by the job, not by the hour, and are very reasonably priced considering some of difficulty of work done especially in this case. The many other outstanding reviews are a testament to the excellence of services that DLP Electric provides to their customers. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Based on their experience, I would highly recommend him and would definitely use him should we have any electrical problems in the future.

Don is great! I've used Don in the past and have referred him to friends who also think he is great. Today my mom, who is elderly and has a medical condition, awoke to find no heat. A call to PSEG revealed an electrical problem that they couldn't fix. I called Don and he said he would be out as soon as he finished up the job he was working on. Within an hour Don was there, identified the problem and had it fixed within 30 minutes. A great big THANK YOU to Don. Make sure you call him when you need an electrician; he will not disappoint.

Outlet was fixed by closing original (which was installed as a single and covered with the wall) He quickly decided to cover that and opening a new one next to it.

Don promptly responded to my service request even though it was after hours when I first placed it. He accommodated my schedule in arranging the service appointment. They arrived on time and did everything needed properly and efficiently. I would definitely use DLP in the future and recommend them to others.

We have an old house built in 1923 with funky wiring, and Don has been my go-to provider for all things electrical. I've had a great experience with him: he shows up on time and when agreed; if it's an emergency (e.g., a short causing the refrigerator to not get power), he'll make an effort to fit me into his schedule even if he's already got a full day of other jobs; he's very responsive via text/cell phone in terms of making plans and reporting back his findings; and his work is always done well. If he discovers after he's at the house that a fix I've requested is a complex project, he follows through until the work is done and does not leave me hanging between visits. Overall, I would highly recommend him without any reservations.

Don arrived promptly and completed all work as promised. He called the day before to confirm appointment and arrived as expected to complete the work. This is the second time that we have used Don but it will definitely not be the last. He is an excellent electrician and very responsive.

Everything went perfect. The job was started on time, it was finished efficiently and quickly, and all appropriate cleanups were taken care of. Don and his assistant were both very friendly, explanatory, and professional in all aspects. I would definitelyrecommend him to all of my friends & family - we will be sure to use him again in the future.

I called Don and he was about to come out for an estimate within the hour. I needed two cameras installed on the side of my house. They put in a lot more effort than they thought they would have to for the job and were there extra hours, but they still stuck with the price which they had quoted me. (They even lost a few drill bits to my ceiling.) Some carpentry which was installed improperly broke when they were doing the job. They fixed it for free so I wouldn't be upset, even though it wasn't really there fault. Lastly, they did a good job. It wasn't sloppy and they did a great job cleaning up when they were done.

There was a miscommunication between the installer and Don after the last box was installed. Don responded promptly to my call and gave me the first available opening he had for monday morning. He thoroughly explained what information the installler failed to provide(the location of the box) and was able to offer several alternatives citing the pros and cons for each option. The installer had made a few out of line comments to my fiancee about how anyone should have known what he meant, but Don was able to give me a detailed explanation of his reasoning for the box placement and how this miscommunication could have been easily avoided with a specific detail from the installer. Don's professionalism, attention to detail and ability to clearly and simply explain to us each step of the process and the reasoning for each decision, made what could have been a frustrating situation into a very efficient service call. This is the third time I've used DLP and would strongly recommend them to anyone in Dons service area.
