Jeff is extremely professional, transparent and skilled. I've had issues with my HVAC system for years and no company has been able to help. He explained all of the options to me and made sure I understood all of the implications. He replaced my HVAC condenser and fixed a leak in record time and I am so grateful for his level of service! I would recommend Jeff for any and all HVAC issues.

We needed to replace a 20 year old system with a new A/C and heating system. From the estimation process to finish of the project, Jeff and his team were prompt in providing a quote. Jeff provided multiple quotes to give us options. He did a nice job explaining the pros and cons of each option too. The install process was great. Once installed, our propane company AmeriGas, needed to do a system check before our heat could be turned on. AmeriGas was difficult and only would do the check outside at the gas line and would not come inside to check the system. Jeff stepped in to help ensure that everything worked properly. He was very good and we would use him again in the future.

Exceptional service. Jeff was responsive, on time, honest, respectful, and a straight shooter. He diagnosed our A/C issue as a bad board (in about 10 minutes), but when he came back to install it - he noticed there was a loose wire and before doing the more expensive work, he fixed the problem by reconnecting the wire and NOT charging us for the board. He then did a thorough inspection of the furnace and said we didn't need to go on one of those service plans that requires a yearly service call due to the design of our furnace. Answered all of our (sometimes oblivious) questions and even recommend things that didn't add to his bill. I am conflicted about writing this review because his is a small company and I don't want him to get too busy... but I figure more people could benefit from solid vendors like Basic. You will not be disappointed. I don't know if he is the cheapest out there -- but I think in the long run he will be the best value for your HVAC needs.

They diagnosed it quickly and replaced the capacitor and had it running very quickly.

Initially had called a repair service tech who provided a quote to replace the boiler. We then checked on Angie's List for some other outfits and send for a quote. Basic Refrigeration was the quickest to reply and come out to check the situation. Jeff provided a quote that was much less than the initial tech. When we didn't get replies quick enough from the other places, we went with Basic who came two days later. The repair took longer than originally planned, and the techs arrived the next morning to finish the job. Payment was made, and, when it appeared that we had some issues with the thermostat, Jeff came out again to check and found that all was working fine as it still is. Since we also have a central AC unit, we will definitely look into using Basic Refrigeration for this as well.

everything was fine until June 2018 around the last week end. something happened to the thermostat and the A/C went off and we could not get it going again. My husband called the company and whoever answered the phone wanted my husband to put in some codes which he did but it did not correct the problem. then he told my husband to take the unit off the wall and take out the batteries and wait 15 minutes and it should reset itself. then he was very rude and hung up on my husband. we took out the batteries but the unit still would not work. when we called back no one would pick up the phone. I had to call my plumber who is a wonderful person and he came over on July 3rd and it took him over 4 hours to get everything fixed. he had to call the manufacturer for the code and fix several things that he said this company did not do properly when they installed the unit in the first place. It costs me $500.00 . my husband is disabled and I had no choice to get it fixed and supposedly now my warranty is cancelled. so what. even when we changed the filter it was not even the correct size he just cut one down and shoved it into the vent.

Jeff arrived on time and was nothing but professional. He provided the exact service that was needed to fix the problem and he is someone I would definitely use again.

Jeff came in (a bonus was that he used to live in our condo building!) and checked out the unit, then went outside to check the condenser. He quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired a broken wire, then taped the wire up to the hose so there was less chance of it getting broken again. He then got his meters out of the truck to check out the unit thoroughly. He also explained how and when to change the filters inside the HVAC unit - which the installer (another company) never bothered to do. He called to let us know he might be a little late, but he was right on time!

As others have already said, Jeff and his team are very professional, and the communication was great from start to finish. He cares about his customers and informs you of the options and lets you decide what is in your best interest. Definitely recommend.

Jeff is responsive from the very first call all the way to completion of the job. He gave me the best quote, provided me with full details including model numbers and brands so I can do my own research. Honestly, what I liked the most is the fact that he is the owner and yet he is the one that installed the unit and not subcontract the installation to someone else. He finished the job in time for the recent heat wave we had and saved the day. I would definitely recommend him to anybody that needs his type of work and will absolutely use again.

awesome. In and out, yet thorough. Jeff always gets me back on track! I have a 26 year old Luxaire unit and Jeff says he can keep it going for as long as I like, and he has! Works like a charm, no need to replace.

Excellent. Jeff was there the morning after I initially called him and the next day his crew was installing the system. It was done on time and exactly the way he said. Jeff gave me several options and prices but did not pressure me into any one particular one. i should point out that Basic installed the first unit in my house 17 years ago. Whenever I had a question or if something needed to be fixed, Jeff has answered promptly. I feel very confident in using them again and/or referring Basic to anyone.

They guys at Basic did a great job of explaining the various options in efficiency, comfort and price point. Once I made my decision they had the new equipment shipped and installed promptly. They hauled away all old equipment and ductwork and left little to clean up. The new system is outstanding - Efficient, quiet and works better than the previous system.

The Technician was very knowledgeable and patient, he answered all our questions to our satisfaction, he also gave us options and gave us his honest opinion. I really like that he took the time to explain things. Highly recommended!

I called Jeff at Basic Refrigeration, Heating & AC. He said he could make it out to me the next day and would call with a time. He did call back as promised and showed up promptly the next morning. He thoroughly checked everything out inside and out and determined that it only needed a freon charge. I was thrilled as another big-name HVAC company had told me previously that the unit was completely shot and they would have a salesman call me with replacement costs (but that's a whole 'nother story). My ac is now working fine once again. Jeff was professional, thorough and, above all, honest! I would highly recommend his services.

I called Basic at around 4 in the afternoon. They were there at 6:30. It took them about 30 minuets and the furnace was working. They were very professional and clean. Last summer, we had the same problem with our air conditioner. It did not start. We called them and they were at our house within 2 hours. They got the job done.

You expect mechanical systems to work according to plan whenever you turn them on - however sometimes it doesn't seem to work out that way especially on 99 degree days with a decades old unit. Calling Jeff - in a panic - describing what's NOT WORKING, he'll do his absolute BEST to get to you on the schedule within a fair amount of time. He's very thorough, explains things clearly, shows you the part[s] that aren't functioning and reasonable priced. Thank-you Jeff for a job well done!

I've this company for many calls and I have never had a bad experience using them. Jeff, the owner, showed up to my tenants condo at 8am the next morning after I texted him at 11pm the night before to let him know the heat wasn't working. Both myself and my tenants we're extremely thankful and satisfied with how fast and prompt the service was. Great job -- great service. Five stars in my opinion!

It was the middle of the summer, approaching 100 degrees and I was away on vacation. My mother called to tell me her AC wasn't working and the house was getting extremely hot. I called Jeff from Basic and he went out of his way to get over there and get the system back up and running. That's what you get with Jeff.... The best of service. He truly cares for his customers and will do what it takes to make things work, and make people happy. His knowledge of the products and industry is second to none..

Our central A/C stopped working. It was critical that repair happens ASAP due to extremely hot weather. We called several companies and Jeff, the owner of Basic Heat and AC was the the only one who returned our call in timely manner. Furthermore - his company as able to schedule appointment very next day. They provided accurate estimates regrading the repairs and kept all work within estimated budget. AC was fixed and we had not have any problems with it since then. Thank you, Jeff. We will definitely use Basic Heat and AC for any future projects - AC or Heat.

The company showed up promptly at 9am as scheduled and started working immediately, unlike other companies I have dealt with who have their coffee, cigarettes, breakfast, etc. first once they show up and then start the job much later than scheduled. The entire time the guys were working on the job you never heard them even swear, which having a toddler at home is very much appreciated! It appeared they worked very efficiently (I don't know how to install central air, nor do I care to.) as the entire job from start to finish, including cleanup, was ruffly only 5 hours. I will definitely be recommending Basic Refrigeration to my friends!
