This progect was done in 2 segments. The first segment was the back porch roof and went very well. Six months later we did the front portico. Within 8 months the back porch roof leaked like a sieve and i was unable to get Shawn Baldwin back to repair the problem. We had to hire another contractor to repair then entire gutter system and a portion of the underside of the patio roof. In 2011 we noticed the same probem with the front portico roof. I had another contractor look at the problem and it has been determined that the entire balustrade system was installed improperly. If you are considering using Shawn Baldwin, think twice! He does not show up on the job, he sends his workers only and shows up only to be paid. To make matters worse, he does not back up the work. HE WILL LEAVE YOU HANGING! I considered suing him but decided i would feel better if i let innocent people out there know what they are getting into if they use this guy!

Terrible! He promised to do the work himself yet never spent one day on the job that lasted several months. In the end, he raised his price by $1000.00 because he said he forgot something on the contract which we believed was in the contract price and we refused to pay the $1000.00 but agreed to split it with him but he refused. Within 1 month the roof was leaking like a sieve and Shawn Baldwin refused to repair the roof which actually cost $60,000.00 with materials! We had to hire another builder to completely tear down the gutter system that Shawn Baldwin installed and this cost an additional $10,000.00!!!!! As a result, I would advise anyone thinking of using this guy to get as far away from him as possible!! He will take your money and run!!!
