A1 Home Inspection LLC

We were looking for a home inspector to check out a house that we were planning to purchase. I originally chose this company because they were ASHI certified (American Society of Home Inspectors), were fairly local to the property, and had gotten other good reviews. Ray called me back within minutes of my requesting information and he asked me what we were looking for him to do and details about the house. He explained his process for checking the house, which is, he typically works from the outside to the inside and then bottom to top. He said that based on the house size/type (1937 stone house built over a crawlspace) he could do a home and termite inspection for what I felt was a very good price. He said he would get back to me to set up an appointment. Within a couple of hours he called to schedule the inspection for about a week later. Shortly after that he sent me an email with information about Radon and an appointment confirmation. He was also very flexible when we had to reschedule due to a prior commitment by our realtor. On the day of the inspection, Ray arrived a little bit early and began checking on the outside of the house before we even got there. He took us around with him as he was doing the inspection and explained what he was looking for and what we should do about any issues that he found. The inspection covered every detail and aspect of the house inside and out from top to bottom. We got the written report ONE day later in an email sent to us, our attorney, and all the realtors (both ours and the sellers). It was very detailed with explanations (and pictures) of everything Ray found. Items that he felt that needed attention were highlighted with recommendations on what to do about them. I found Ray to be very personable as well and it was a pleasure dealing with him. When asked, he even provided me with three recommendations on someone to do a septic inspection and the person we chose also did a fantastic job. Overall, I couldn't have been more pleased with Ray, the job he did, and the results he provided.
