Rob is a young, energetic craftsman genuinely concerned about his reputation, his quality, and his customer's satisfaction. He started our job in November and finished just before the Christmas holiday, as promised. He wasn't the cheapest bidder, but he wasn't the most expensive. My standard is getting the most for my dollar, not getting the cheapest price. You get what you pay for. He finished on budget and there were no "surprise" expenses. There were a few bumps along the road, but Rob accepted responsibility for any shortcomings, made the required changes and ensured my wife and I were happy. He showed up as promised and worked until the job was completed. He was always available, even after hours, and promptly returned any calls or emails. He cleaned up the work site at the end of each day and took precautions to protect our existing floor and limit the amounts of dirt and dust affecting other parts of the house. He gutted a powder room and installed floor and wall tile, including an intricate pattern in the floor, installed a new vanity and toilet, installed baseboard and crown molding. He repaired drywall and primed and painted the entire room. In the foyer, he repaired the drywall, installed new baseboard and crown molding and primed and painted the entire two-story foyer. His painting was good, but not great, but quality painting is a pet peeve and I spot the slightest defect, so my standard is probably higher than most would expect from a contractor. He installed new interior doors and door hardware and primed and painted both. The painting on the doors was our least satisfying experience, but he worked to make us happy. He installed a new front door and framed it beautifully. His carpentry work was excellent. It is noteworthy that my wife and I hired an interior designer to coordinate the entire project. Rob worked well with her and consulted with her on every facet of the project. I would not hesitate to recommend Rob for any general contracting work and even had a neighbor hire him for a deck project based on our recommendation . I will hire him again.
