ORIGINAL DESIGN PAINTING

Most painters I’ve hired in the past would remove the mirror and medicine cabinet in the bathroom when painting. This painter painted around the medicine cabinet. I only recently discovered this because I updated the medicine cabinet I had. This was very expensive for the quality work I received. I would not recommend and would not use again.

The painting was completed without any hiccups. Very impressed!

My much needed painting got done and that’s the important part, but attention to detail was certainly lacking. Painter must not have used drop cloths everywhere because now I have yellow and brown paint drops on my black roof. He also didn’t clean up the paint chips from when he scraped the woodwork before painting, and 3 weeks later I’m still cleaning them up from my roof, gutters, lawn and sidewalks.

Original Design Painting was the first contractor to call me back, among several we contacted. They were prompt in providing the estimate appointment, showed up on time, and provided a written proposal within 1 day. The price was reasonable and within the range of other quotes we received. They were able to begin the work fairly quickly, and worked steadily, completing this large job in a reasonable time, also providing valuable input on color choices. They were able to adjust their schedule to work around the needs of another contractor, and adequate supervision of the work crew was provided. The quality of the prep was thorough, there was no skimping on masking or other material, the paint was high quality, and the finished job is high quality. Throughout the process they seemed very organized, and provided good communication.

Recep Osbas was our primary contact with the company. We were initially impressed by his professionalism and knowledge - he gave good descriptions of how the work would proceed through each phase of the repainting. He specified good quality paints and went through all areas to be painted with us so that a good understanding of the job was shared. He was the low bidder on the job with a well prepared and clear proposal. When we engaged his company he started work on our tightly scheduled project exactly when he said he would and worked around the frequent rainy spells to complete the job on time. As he described, the painters were all very professional and worked both quickly and neatly so there was no "mess" to clean up at the end of the job. He asked for 1/3 of the price at the start and nothing else until the job was completely finished. When all the painting was finished he did not ask for any of the final price amount as if he was trying to make a fast getaway ( as I have experienced with some contractors). He fixed every little thing that needed attention and then we were happy to pay him the final amount. All I can say here is that he promised a job that he and we could be proud of and delivered it 100 percent.

Very fast, good value, pleasant work crew, left job site in good shape. Was reasonable for the few call backs that were needed. The house looks beautiful. Will use them again.

I contracted to have my kitchen cabinets painted. He was an hour late for the estimate and didn't call me to say he was running late; I had to call him to see if he was still coming--that should have been my first clue. He said he would do the work on May 6. On May 5, after numerous phone calls to him explaining that I needed to confirm so I could arrange the day off from work, he texted me back that he would do the work on May 8. I took off from work that day. On May 8 at 9:30 a.m. he still had not arrived so I called him and asked when he was arriving. He said that he had E-MAILED me to reschedule for May 9. I checked my e-mail and found that he had e-mailed me at 8:45 a.m. to cancel on the day he was supposed to be here!!!! He didn't even have the courtesy or the nerve to call me and speak with me directly. I called him and told him that my job had to absolutely be completed May 8, as agreed, because I had already taken off work and couldn't take off again the next day. He hung up on me!! In addition to that, he already knew that I was doing this work so I could list my house for sale, which was scheduled to happen on May 9 (the day he was proposing to reschedule for--and who knows if he would have shown up that day either). This guy is the absolute worst. Very unprofessional, not at all reliable and RUDE. He actually wanted to slap some paint on the hinges and handles of my cabinets, so he could get it done fast, rather than do it right. I should have known when he said that, that he didn't know what he was doing. He represented himself as experienced in what I needed done, but there's not one picture on his website showing cabinets he's painted and when I asked him for some he just ignored me. That's his m.o.--he just ignores the customer. Even if he offered to do my cabinets for free, I wouldn't let him in my home. All I can say is beware. He is bad news.

We purchased a home that was desperately in need of paint-paint was literally falling off the walls in some rooms. it was a daunting task to sand, prime, remove wallpaper and paint the entire house (2,500 sq. ft), but Ozbas and his team did an extraordinary job of completing the work in a week! We have a second home to renovate and we will be calling them again! I'd like to share one additional tip for selecting paint for your home. I was overwhelmed by the dark colors on the walls in the house Ozbas painted, but an in-store decorator for Sherwin Williams recommended painting potential colors on white poster board, leaving a white "frame' and pinning them to the walls to help the eye see the actual color. It worked, after buying and trying 35 samples on the actual walls, this poster board tip helped me select the paint. Using the free in-store decorator was great, too-I highly recommend it!
