We were going to use them initially. Because of that experience my husband decided to just do it himself. It's a shame because the primary point of contact there seemed like a great guy. We just think they may have issues going on. We felt like we kind of got a bait and switch on price once the contract was signed. Fortunately we saw that possibility and had some language written into our contract to escape without penalty and receive our deposit back. The owner is friendly and personable and tries to work with whatever plans you have. He seems pretty engaging if you will. I think they do have a lot of industry knowledge behind them as well. Once the contract is signed the followup communication is poor. I also think that they should be more upfront about charges that come later down the line. We were basically promised one thing and after everything was signed and the ink was dry it suddenly started to change. They waisted a lot of our time and we lost out on another builder's special for that time of the year because we decided to go with Delval. We were told one thing but when push came to shove, and the work was about to start, suddenly it changed. The price was fair. It's not that the price was bad even with what they said, it's just that they told us one thing, but you find out you're going to get hit with a few thousand more. They still were not bad for pricing we just don't like to be baited and switched and that's what it felt like. The owner is great, but his partner is terrible. They've got some definite issues going on there.

I had Del Val come out to open my pool because I just bought my house in August and never owned a pool before. When I made the appointment I was told to call the night before to get an idea of what time they would show up at my house. Keep in mind that my house is 5 minutes from their store. The night before I called and they said they could not give me a time and to call back in the morning. The next morning I called, got put on hold for ten minutes and eventually I hung up and called back again and got put on hold...again. Finally they said they did not know what time the guys would be out, but they would call the guys and get back to me. 5 hours later I called back and.....got put on hold again for 10 minutes and eventually hung up. When I called back I got put on hold again (this is not a typo) for almost 10 more minutes. The time was about 2pm at this point and they told me the guys would be out after 3pm. Well, around 7pm I noticed 2 guys in my shed. I went outside and basically got no hello or anything. They hooked up two hoses and noticed leaking in my filter. Then they could not turn my pump on. I have an electrical switch next to the pump and when they turned it on there was no power. They said I needed a new pump and filter and that it would cost around $400 and then they dumped chlorine in my pool and left. The next day I went out and looked at my pump. There was an on/off switch on the pump. Once I turned the switch to "on" it worked. The filter stopped leaking after about 30 seconds (the ring inside the filter needed to get wet) and since then I have had no problems. When I called the store and asked for my money back I basically got yelled at by one of the pool salesman on the phone telling me the guys did their job. I also asked the guys to put on caps around my pool that were not on. They told me that was not part of the opening. For $100 they come out, hook up two hoses, dump chlorine in your pool and leave. Terrible service from start to finish. In the end I got half of my money back.

They did good work but were slow to respond at times.

We were really excited to see the finished product this master craftsman did for us. The pool is perfect and both the time they took to get it done and the effort were really good.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. I WAS ALSO HAVING TROUBLE RECENTLY WITH MY HOT TUB AND THEY CAME OUT FOR FREE TO FIX IT. WOULD RECOMMEND THE COMPANY TO OTHERS.

I TOLD THEM THAT THE 30 X 5 DECK WAS BENT AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD BE FINE. THEY SAID THEY COULD PUT THE ABOVE GROUND IN THE GROUND AND THAT THEY DO IT ALL THE TIME. THE LINER BROKE THE DAY AFTER THEY FINISHED IT. THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD NOT FIX IT. I HAD AN ENGINEER COME OUT AND LOOK AT IT. HIS EXPERT ADVICE WAS THAT THE POOL SHOULD COME OUT. THE NEXT DAY I LOOKED AT THE DIRECTIONS AND IT STATES PLAINLY THAT IT SHOULD NOT BE INSTALLED IN THE GROUND. IT STATES THAT IF YOU INSTALL IN THE GROUND IT VOIDS THE WARRANTY AUTOMATICALLY. THESE PEOPLE ARE BAD PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH.

THEY QUOTED ONE PRICE AT THE TIME OF CONTRACT SIGNING. WHEN WORK WAS COMPLETED THEY HAD THE CONTRACT DEVELOPED SO THAT IN THE FINE PRINT THE COST OF THE INSTALLATION WAS EXEMPT FROM THE CONTRACT, WHICH RAISED THE COST OF OUR POOL PURCHASE BY $1,500.00.
