RIDGE LAWN MOWER REPAIR

I contacted Ridge Mower to do what I thought would be a simple repair. Battery wouldn’t hold charge and brakes didn’t work. The came to my home and looked at the mower. I was told I needed a new battery(which I provided) and brakes needed to be adjusted. After replacing battery, I was told the carburetor needed to be replaced. Mower ran fine before this. I gave them the ok to replace the carburetor and nightmare began. 3 Carburetors later and 6 weeks of waiting I was finally told it was working fine. I went to use mower and noticed it only ran at one speed. Throttle did not seem to adjust up or down. I was able to use mower 2 times for about 40 minutes each time. Both times mower did not run like it did for 20 years. Went to start again and engine kept stuttering like is was going to stall. When I went to engage mower, it stalled. Tried a few times but kept stalling. By the way, the brakes were never touched although they were to be repaired. Still doesn’t stop. When I reached out to Bill again to inform him if said. FYI. Mower isn’t running again. I guessit’s time for a new mower. His response, “Guess so”. That was it. So I’m out $232 and have a mower that still doesn’t work. Stay away from this shop. If you want, call me to repair your mower. Can’t be any worse and I’ll charge you half price.

He gave me an honest opinion that it wasn?t work fixing and I should just replace it. He didn?t charge me for the time or the trip to come out and gave me a suggestion on where to buy.
