About us

Automatic Water Conditioning is a Family Owned and operated Water Treatment Equipment and service provider. We have been in business since 1948, and offer a wide range of water filtration solutions. We build and design water filtration equipment from small point of use filtration, to whole house solutions, to commercial and industrial water treatment equipment. We are an OEM, which allows us to pass the savings onto customer because we build custom filtration systems and install them directly for customer. We also provide wholesale water filtration systems, filter, and plumbing fittings for plumbers and the public.

They resolved the issue.
Description of Work: Well water test for home sale returned high value for lead. Well contractor and plumber were not sure how to remediate. Aaron at Automatic Water Conditioning looked at water lab test results and other information, and advised us to replace the well pressure tank, rather than install filters. Aaron was very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful, even though replacing the pressure tank was not something AWC does themselves. Following this repair, the lead level in the water was well within the acceptable level. I highly recommend Automatic Water Conditioning for any water quality or treatment issues.

The employees of automatic water conditioning are always reliable. They are experts in their field and provide great customer service. They are punctual and I feel safe having them in our home. I can rest easy knowing they will do an excellent job.

The guys at Automatic Water Conditioning are always quick to respond to any need. They are always punctual and professional. I feel comfortable having them in my Hoke whether I am there or not.

Perfectly- salt was delivered within the time window given when service call was made. Two men brought salt down to the water softener located in the basement. Filled the salt container, left enough salt bags to last several months. Discarded the used salt bags, and went to their next call

I called this company because they were down the street from my home. I explained that I was getting white deposits in my bathtubs, and wanted to have someone look at the water and let me know if i needed a water softener. Greg on the phone was very nice, and was able to set someone to come out for free the next morning. After a couple days I recieved a phone call, with the results of my water tests, and several options on treatment. The price they gave me for a water softener, carbon filter, and a reverse osmosis system was very competative with the other 2 quotes I recieved. It seams there is a lot a variance on price in this particular field. I decided to go with their proposal, and they were able to have is installed next day! It has now been 2 months and the system is working wonderfully! No more white in my tubs, and my wife loves the reverse osmosis water it taste great, no more bottled water for us!

.FAILURE!! THE MAN WHO CAME TO MY HOUSE WAS VERY NICE, VERY NICE!! BUT NOT A SALESMAN!
Description of Work: THEY STARTED WELL!! CAME OUT TO LOOK AT INSTALLATION AND WAS TOLD HE WAS NOT A SALESMAN, VERY BUSY!! NO PRICES, BROCHURES NOTHING LIKE THE OTHER 3 COMPANIES WHO CAME OUT. AARON CALLED ME AND FROM THE START MADE EXCUSES ABOUT HOW BUSY THEY ARE AND "THE MAN WHO CAME TO YOUR HOUSE IS AN INSTALLER NOT A SALESMAN" PER AARON. HIS PRICE FOR RUNNING ONE 1" PIPE, TO BYPASS THE SPRINKLERS WAS 12 TIMES HIGHER THEN THE OTHER 3 COMPANIES AND I FELT THERE WAS NO NEED TO CONTINUE FROM THERE!! AT FIRST HE TOLD ME THERE WAS NO WAY TO BYPASS THE SPRINKLERS AND I TOLD HIM ALL 3 OTHER COMPANIES WERE DOING IT!! WHEN HE TOLD ME IT "COULD NOT BE DONE" I LAUGHED BECAUSE I BUILT THE HOUSE AND I'VE BEEN BUILDING FOR 35 YEARS AND MY DAD WAS A BUILDER!! SAD BECAUSE THEY WERE A FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS WITH A GOOD REPUTATION!!

Dear [member name removed] I am sorry to hear about your disappointment with our estimate, and that you we did not adequately inform you that our initial inspection is not done by a sales person. We have found that sending a sales person who is just interested in a sale, may not fully understand what is involved with making an accurate installation, making sure that the system is installed correctly, and that we can meet the needs of our customer. We send installers to look at the physical dimensions, plumbing, electrical, drain options, and to understand if the customer has special installation request that we can provide for in estimates. We have found that sales people often miss the mark or can often be more interested in making a sale, and not fully understanding the requirements of every installation. This is why we send installers, and we draw samples on site so that we can design a system that is built specifically for each customers needs. We do basic installations of water filtration equipment. Other plumbing modifications are not permitted under HIC contractors license like re-piping you outside hose bibs and irrigation system located and the opposite side of the home. This had to be bid out to a plumbing company that gave us an estimate that we passed to you. We also do not run PEX or plastic tubing on any installation, while this is cheaper to do, it does not stand the test of time. We install all of our equipment in soldered Copper which tends to be more labor intensive and costly to do. The estimate to move the irrigation and hose bibs may have been expensive but general plumbing is not what we are in business to do. See above details. Would not have recommended this company a year ago but new company owner fixed defective unit and won our trust, respect and endorsement.
Description of Work: 1. Contracted for water softner installation one year ago (Aug., 2010). 2. Installation not as smooth as we hoped and we were not certain the unit was working correctly. 3. Company principal promised to come out (almost a year ago) to check the unit, but never did. 4. We had a nagging feeling for the past year that the softner was not always working. 5. Visited company recently; company had been sold in the meantime! 6. New owner Aaron sent a technician the next day. 7. Tech found a problem and fixed it free. Now we are enjoying the difference! 8. Aaron could have charged, or refused to service the softner unit purchased from prior owner. 9. He got our respect and trust, and we recommend this company now that the new owner is in place. For several years I used this company because they are the only game in town. Recently, we have had some issues,(not related to money in any way) and when I called to talk to them and try to get them resolved the owner yelled at me and was completely rude and unprofessional. I will not say everything he said, but suffice to say, they will not darken my door ever again.
Description of Work: I have used this company for 4 years. They usually come within a few days if you call. They are not proactive and do not come regularly to see if everything is in order-they wait until you call with a problem. They are rarely on time. Most of the technicians are nice, the owner is a pill.
