First Class Building & Remodeling, LLC was the absolute best choice for me. I was about to build a new deck from scratch. After interviewing a couple of other contractors I met Glenn Hickman. He came to my house with a van which was his showroom. We worked out the best layout for the deck. We went back and forth with different scenarios until I was happy with a layout of the deck. I was very much impressed with his presentation. His contract was very detailed. I did many projects the around the house and never signed a contract so detailed. You knew the start date of the project. What materials will be used to the final end day date of the project. He was very organized. I was very much involve with the deck project, but the input I received from Glenn truly enhanced the final outcome. To this day I still look at the deck to see if I could find any mistakes or if we could have done anything differently. I wouldnâ t change a thing. I LOVE MY BEAUTIFUL DECK. Glenn and his workers were true professionals during the entire process. Thank you Glenn for a very pleasant experience.

The business is a one stop shop. Very helpful in designing and coordinating colors and materials. They also did our deck, driveway, front walkway, and gutters. Wonderful results all-around.

It has been 18 years since the home remodeling and I am as pleased with the end result today as I was after it was first completed. I have not had one issue with any of the work done - kitchen remodel, family room addition, new basement and new deck. It was a fairly large job in my view and Glenn had it all figured out from start to finish. I am just so glad we choose him to do the job.

They say time is money, right? Well, before you begin your next project, hire a remodeling consultant! The cost is made up 10-fold by the value added throughout the process. Glenn took our original design plan, which we liked, and turned it into something we loved! He caught several design flaws and prevented us from building the wrong house, ultimately saving us thousands of dollars along the way. What started out as a dormered cape, turned into an amazing modern farmhouse with all the curb appeal we wanted and more.

Glenn and his team did a great job with my deck railings and skirting project. The skirting project required a great amount of attention to detail and Glenn was attentive to all of my aesthetic requests. glenn’s subcontractor Idier was also very nice and skilled. Glenn has been great though the whole process. He took my vision and turned it into exactly what I wanted. He was able to show me a virtual drawing of what my renovation would look like before we even signed a contract. He provided a very detailed timeline and has stuck to that timeline. His crew of workers have been so polite and they clean up after everyday. There are no hidden costs, everything is itemized upfront. Glenn is very accessible and responds within the hour. Working with Glenn, Anna and his team was a very seamless experience. They made great suggestions that were aesthetically appealing and cost efficient. We had a general idea of how we wanted our basement to look, but the finished product exceeded our expectations! They always met their contractual obligations, often ahead of schedule. Good craftsmanship, and good communication. We LOVE our new basement!

Waste of time. Glen was quick and responsive to show up to initial meetings and take a $500 non refundable retainer fee. Hesitant at first, but believed I would get some real service. Far from it. Not long after cashing that check, Glen showed little urgency or attention to detail. And over 25 days from the initial meeting, I still had no real quote or timeline. I received a couple of computer assisted drawings and saw some pictures of previous work but that was a waste since my project was a simple rebuild. Bizarre since I have been ready since day 1 to sign, choose materials, leave a deposit and lock in dates - but he showed zero urgency to move things along. Maybe he has bigger projects to focus on but he did cash that retainer fee quickly. Communication is terrible and respect for your time does not exist. He might do good work here and there, but not professional. Good luck out there.

My husband and I have just signed a contract with First Class Building and we are very excited about it. We expect the project to begin sometime later this month or early next month and Glenn projects the job to be completed by October. So far, Glenn and Anna have been incredibly delightful to work with. Glenn is deeply passionate about what he does. He is super creative and very knowledgeable. He has given us some clever suggestions and is doing a great job steering us in the right direction as far as design goes. We expect a fantastic outcome. We’ve seen the work Glenn and his team have done in the past and can’t wait to see what magic he does with our home. Both Glenn and Anna are very detail oriented and über organized. Looks like we will know what’s happening every step of the way. I will be writing a follow up to this review in the coming months.

Do not waste your time here. Glenn is not only too busy to manage your project (we had a $25,000 project here), but is also happy to take $1,000 from you for a few drawings, and calls, as well as estimates for which he notes on their profile as free. (which contained errors to be honest) We had a project with some required effort for permits as many owners need. He simply was not able to help us until he got another chunk of money from us and was it worth his time. Many times being told he was very busy and could not manage our project. Clearly not to busy to cash our check.

Dealing with Glenn and his team was effortless... clear communication, managed expectations and great result on schedule as promised.
