excellent - now, we can relax even if the power goes out. Our basement won't be flooded with the water-based backup sump pump which has happened in the past when the power went out.

They were excellent. No issues. Came out without cost. Gave a price that was in line with what was expected. Installed immediately. Use them if you need a hot water tank!

Very satisfied. Changing over to gas was on our list, but timing got accelerated when old boiler developed a whole in the casting. Dave and his team did a great job and were very professional. Price was also very fair. Dave took the time to measure all of the radiators to properly size the boiler. None of the other vendors quoting did that. He also pointed out how the old boiler was improperly connected with copper rather than black pipe. None of the other vendors quoting noticed. Each step of process went smoothly and all interactions with the town were handled. One team installed the larger gas line. The new boiler was swapped out next a couple days later. Tank was removed a couple days later. All teams very prompt, polite, clean. Dave was always accessible via text and email throughout the process, so no surprises. Final inspection from town with no issues. New gas boiler is amazingly quiet and monthly gas spend is probably 40% of oil. We will break even next winter.

They did a very good job at a fair price. I had once before used an outfit called Russo Plumbing and they were practically thieves. Dawson on the other hand was very competent and fairly priced. They did a nice job and our heat is so much better. They restored my confidence in steam system plumbers.

I was their last call that day so they were running a bit behind but I appreciated their coming out on a Saturday afternoon.

The service was beyond excellent! I went down to the basement to take the lawn mower out and saw that the basement was flooded. I checked and the water was coming out of two spots (the water heater tank overflow stack and by the whole house water filter. I called Dawson Mechanical and the owner got right back to me. He said he would send his crew right over and that he would also come to take a look. They got here within 20 minutes and spent several hours fixing everything. He said between the water temperature being set way too high and the pressure being way too high, it blew out the pressure regulator and flooded the expansion tank. He also noticed that we were missing a thermal expansion tank on the water main (which is required by code). Both he and his staff were very courteous, professional and clean. I could not have asked for anything better. It was a great experience. It is very hard to find a good professional. We now have our go to plumber!

Excellent! I called the office, explained my issue regarding a backed-up sink to the person answering the phone. It was about 5:00 PM and I asked if it were possible for someone to come to my house that same day because I could not use the sink. The person responded that she would text her husband to see if this was possible. Within minutes, a truck pulled up to my driveway and two gentlemen emerged. I was dumb-founded because of the other responses that they could not guarantee service that same day, even though they are listed as 24/7 emergency plumbers. The Dawson guys came in, promptly assessed the problem, snaked the drain and even cleaned up after they finished which was all about 30 minutes! I strongly recommend Dawson. They are a non-sense operation and quite a professional team. I will not hesitate to use them in the future.

Overall, the experience was flawless. We are very happy with our heating system and it has saved us a tremendous amount of money. (David said it would) We are very happy with the 2-zones he provided us, we can keep the main rooms warmer and the addition cooler when no one is in it. Also cost effective. They came the day they said they would and finished on-time.

Dave and his crew were professional, diligent and performed quality work. My heating system no longer has the "knocks" and is keeping my home well heated. Moreover, Dave was personable, prompt and transparent throughout the process. He even noticed a small detail that his crew missed after final inspection of the work, sending someone back to complete the job the next day. My wife and I moved into our home about two years ago and inherited a very old hot water heater (12+ years old) and boiler (25+ years old). They were working fine, but they were on their last legs and could go at any time. More importantly, 2 of the 3 upstairs bedrooms were always cold, little heat reached those rooms through the baseboard radiators, and we wanted to see what could be done to get it fixed. This was very important to us since one of those rooms was going to be used as a nursery the following month. I spoke to Dave on the phone who set up an appointment for the next day to investigate. He assessed the water heater and boiler, letting me know that they were currently working fine, explained how it worked, and that the boiler was missing a safety feature that is now required in newly installed boilers (I think it was something like an expansion tank?). He explained it very well, I could tell he knew what he was talking about. To solve the cold bedrooms riddle, Dave walked around the basement, looking at the exposed pipes and where they were headed. Then he went to the rooms on the first floor, noting the locations of the radiators. Finally he went to the 2nd floor to see where the rooms were and the radiator locations. He found that the rooms were connected just fine, but that they were on the end of a long loop of rooms being heated. The 2 bedrooms were located on the same zone as the entire first floor, and as a result, were not being heated effectively. In addition, the thermostat was on the first floor, meaning once the desired temperature was reached on the first floor, the system shut down, leaving the 2nd floor in the cold. To fix, he recommended adding a third zone by reconnecting the 2nd floor pipes in the basement directly to the boiler and connecting a new 2nd floor thermostat to the boiler so that it would continue working until the 2nd floor rooms were warm. It should be pointed out that the original intent of my service call was not to get a new boiler, but to fix the heating problem on my 2nd floor. The 3rd zone solution complicated things with my older boiler, which would have had to be retrofitted with a bigger opening to accommodate the 3 zones. Dave advised that rather than spending money on those enhancements, which would go to waste if and when my boiler dies, that I may have wanted to consider getting a new boiler. My wife and I agreed to the work and we scheduled an appointment a few weeks later to get the work completed. On Day 1, they replaced the water heater and did some work on the 2nd floor piping in the basement. On Day 2, they replaced the boiler and connected all 3 zones, including the new 3rd zone. The crew was excellent, putting down drop cloths around the house where they were walking around to drain the radiators and cleaning up behind them. When the work was completed, Dave walked me around and showed me what they did and gave me a tutorial of how the new thermostat worked. Everything worked perfectly and the upstairs bedrooms are now nice and warm! Dave came back a few days later and dropped off the invoice, warranty, and completed rebate details (all I had to do was fill in my address and mail it out). He also asked how things were going and answered some questions for me, including how I could adjust temperatures in the room using the radiators. All in all, I think I got my money's worth and would recommend Dawson to my friends and family for any heating work.

We were very nervous about finding a quality contractor to do this job, but Dave and his crew were totally professional, from start to finish. This company's bid was also one of the most reasonable we received.My husband is VERY hard to please, and he was happy with the job, from the technical standpoint. I was happy with how the crew kept the area clean, and hauled out all the mess. Victor, who was managing the job that day, was also great to deal with. As well, Dave has guided us through the paperwork for three available rebates.I recommend this company without reservations!

After getting four or five quotes, from recommendations and Angie's list, we chose Dawson Mechanical to install two new furnaces. The crew arrived on time and got the first furnace working by the end of the first day and the house warmed up. The second furnace was completed the second day. However, the crew forgot to relight the hot water heater. Dave came back that evening to take care of this small issue. We would definately use this company again.

I had a problem with my boiler and had a sevice technician from another company to inspect my boiler. The technician told me that the problem was the thermostat and that I had to change it. Well, when the thermostat was changed and $300.00 later, I still didn't have any heat. I called the company to have the technician come back, but I never received a return phone call. I then called Elizabethtown Gas and they referred me to Dawson Mechanical. I called and spoke with Dave who showed up the next day. Dave got the boiler working and my tenants and I finally had heat. Dave also installed a system which was connected to the boiler and themostat. This system would alert me to the exact boiler problem in the future. Dave replaced some parts and this all happened within a matter of 2 to 3 days. Every visit was about $485.00 and I spent a total of about $1,800.00 for Dawson Mechanical's services. Money that had to be spent in order for my heat to go back on. Thank you Dawson Mechanical for your help.

Dave was great to deal with. He was very knowledgeable, as well as thorough. He was able to explain why and how we should go about switching to an indirect water heater which now gives us constant hot water. He and his crew were punctual, courteous and neat.
