The crew came in time, the work took expected time, all work done in a professional manner. Will hire again and going to call these guys for maintenance visits.

The installation took about 1 and a 1/2 hours. Great job. The work area was clean and tidy when they left.

Replaced broken stopper mechanism in less than 1 hour.

We were in the process of selling my parent's home and needed to convert the existing oil heat to natural gas which included removing the underground oil tank. I found Dawson through Angie's List and Dave was the most responsive contractor I contacted (called 5 local contractors). Dave quickly scheduled the inspection and provided an estimate the same day. He was on par with one other contractor. We went with Dave due to his straightforwardness and especially because he was an all-in-one contractor as opposed to the other four which I had to find a separate contractor to remove the oil tank (which made no sense). The conversion went smooth, our oil tank was removed and thank goodness for no leaks so no remediation needed, but with that said, our city hall and buyer's were a tad difficult to deal with. As such, we needed to ask Dave and Wanda for additional assistance and paperwork and they worked diligently to make sure we met our closing date (they were even working while away on vacation answering my text messages and emails), essentially ensuring we were ultimately satisfied. With the stressors that come with selling a house, Dave and Wanda didn't add to the stress and in fact did as much as they could to lessen ours. We can't thank them enough and if we ever need any services they offer, they'll be the first we reach out to!

Dave was very professional throughout the process. He was always on time when showing up for the estimates as well as when doing the work. When he gave the estimate he came in and used a camera to scan the sewer line and explained everything for me and exactly what he would be doing. He did not try and make it a bigger job than necessary and once we agreed to proceed with the work he did everything on time and in a very professional manner. I would definitely recommend him to others and will use them again.

Really pleased with the results + work done for my new water heater. We needed a fair amount of assessment and documentation due to a legal situation and Dawson was able to generate all of that and ensure that we got the work done in a timely fashion. The work itself was done well and went exactly as planned. When it was all finished up I qualified for a tax rebate and they were proactive in ensuring I knew how to get it. Really liked doing work with them.

I originally reviewed Dawson Mechanical Contracting two years ago when this furnace was originally converted to gas. (Superbly.) I called them again this morning because the overflow tank was leaking water--today is a Saturday after a snowstorm--and Dave and his crew came out a few hours later and repaired the entire thing. (A serious and complicated job.) I'm grateful for the speed and professionalism Dawson Mechanical Contracting showed. My heat is working again, and the price was fair. I recommend these guys without reservation. Two thumbs up.

We hired Dave for a water heater replacement in our condo. His price was competitive and he showed up on time. The water heater replacement went fine but the next morning there was no water in the unit. The apartment complex stated that the plumber must have left the door open to the water valve closet for the building which resulted in a pipe bursting (cold weather) for my unit. I called Dave and explained the situation. He immediately came back that morning and took responsibility for fixing the burst pipe at no charge to me. He didnt have to do this and there was no way to prove that burst pipe was due to his crew's leaving the door open, but Dave was professional and a man of his word and fixed the issue for me. Because of this I will hire Dave again and highly recommend him to others that are looking for a honest professional plumber.

Prior installer did everything backwards which ended up ruining my system. These guys went above and beyond to get me my parts under warranty. they did a tremendous job in fixing what shouldn't have been broken in the first place! Very nice man! Will definitely hire again!

Hiring a reliable and competent contractor is always a crap shoot especially one involving a conversion from oil to gas. Dawson Mechanical came in ( as the first estimate) and immediately made us see why they were the right choice .Dave Weinfeldt made us feel at ease and gave us a breakdown of his personal qualifications and what services he would supply for us the potential customers.Dave went over with us the different options regarding boilers, hot water heaters and how he would prepare the hookups for gas dreyer and gas range in our future renovations . Since we are remodeling our basement he gave us all the needed hot water baseboard information which we requested...We sat down and Dave wrote up an estimate with the caveat that he would work with us regarding any other competitor’s estimates. We reviewed the other bids and found him to be in the middle...Dawson Mechanical was our choice and we were pleased with the promptness, professional attitude and punctuality. Dave and crew were the BEST...John, Carlos Ricky and Euvillio were all knowledgeable and worked as a team. I’m sure Dave Weindfeldt plays a big part in their work ethic...Super group of guys... clean up was fantastic... they prepped the stairs and area where our old oil furnace was removed... There was no damage to any stairs and wall which was a big relief... They pulled us out of a huge problem when we purchased an older home with serious undisclosed plumbing issues. These folks know what they're doing -- they're the ones to call when the wrench-and-snake guys cant get it solved. And it's right the first time. If you have an older home with possibly delicate plumbing issues, you need this team.

Dave was great, he was honest, tried to work with us, helped us understand what has to be done and how. His crew was great, polite, and friendly. Answered all our questions. They put everything together, cleaned after their mess. We are really pleased with the job they did. Highly recommend them.

Performance – It took the plumber, and his helper, about one hour to disconnect and remove the old unit. Then, it took this crew a little over 1.5 hours to install and connect the new unit. The work was done in three separate segments spanning about five hours. The physical quality of work was almost passable, and so was the manner by which the work was done. Communication - The plumber did not mention the cost of the job during the appointment phone-call, nor at the beginning of the job. When the job was almost finished, the plumber announced that the cost of the job will be $2100. The plumber provided minimal information about the operation of the heater, about the process for re-igniting the unit, and about interpreting the blinking signals of the control module. Warranties on labor and equipment were not mentioned. Pricing - The price of $2100 is twice the going rate that is charged by plumbers in this area for replacing a water heater. Additionally, the plumber did not mention the option of paying for the job through a credit card, nor did he mention the 5% discount that is currently offered by this business entity to members of Angie’s List.

The work was good. Howevet the fumes and dust from the removal of the old steel line traveled up to the upper floors of the house. It's better for a family with children, or the elderly, or the sick not be home if you can arrange it. I had no idea it would be so disturbing. But then the provider could have mentioned it.

No return phone call after requesting return of funds for work not performed.
