This was and is an awful experience. The young man that came was rude and obnoxious. He did not provide and information on what had occurred nor advice on how to avoid this situation in the future. One week after the clean out, there was water in the basement again. No warranty and they wanted to reschedule again on a Friday night where the cost is triple. This company used to be reputable, I’ve used and recommended them many times (I am a Realtor), I’m not sure what happened, but I would never use them again. $372. For thirty minutes.

DO NOT call Roto Rooter. They charged me $265 for the 5 minutes it took to snake a drain, and then tells me after the fact that I didn't need it drained. The plumber was condescending and claimed the cost was explained upfront, and it clearly wasn't. It's insulting to suggest that I would agree to pay $265 for 5 minutes of work. ZERO STARS.

CAUTION! NO STARS! APPALLING SERVICE and DISGRACEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM WORKER JOSHUE BAUTISTA & SUPERVISOR/OWNER JACK BRANCIFORTE of Roto Rooter, Bergenfield (2 Lake St)!!! STAY CLEAR FROM THIS PLACE!! They charged $308.15 on 5/26/20 to supposedly clear out the pipes because shower on 1st floor bathroom was expelling water from the drain. Instead of fixing the problem, worker Joshue worked at a SNAILS PACE on the drain line for the new garage which is still under construction and has no relation to the main house where the bathroom is. Instead of working on the main sewer line, after 40 mins, he told us that he could look at main sewer line that feeds to the main house (which he should have done in the first place) but that he would charge another hour. After refusing to pay another $308.15 for another hour of him supposedly checking out the main line, he left saying the problem could come back. Sure enough, the next morning the same problem persisted but now the shower of the bathroom upstairs does not drain either. We called back to get an explanation but the worker Joshue & supervisor/owner Jack demonstrated THEY HAD NO DESIRE TO LISTEN by first giving us a callback after 2 days and then CONSTANTLY INTERRUPTING. In the end the supervisor/owner Jack even said, "This is America, everyone needs to pay!". He told us that we would need to pay for another hour to "solve the problem". We told him that yes, in America and in any country you should pay for a service when a service is given because it's the right thing to do, but in this case the SERVICE WAS NOT GIVEN. It's a shame especially during this pandemic where we all should seek to do good and not steal from our fellow citizen. The icing on the cake was when the supervisor/owner Jack simply said, "Pay another hour...think about it" chuckled and THEN SLAMMED THE PHONE ON US. As a household with essential workers working everyday to help our communities and another currently serving the Navy, I would like to think we should be an example of kindness and hard work. Please SAVE YOURSELF FROM A MISERABLE EXPERIENCE AND MISSPENT MONEY and SEEK A DIFFERENT PLUMBING SERVICE to assist you in your needs. Please stay safe!

It was fine. It was good.

I use them every 6 months to clean the drain out to the street. They did a fine job. Cleaned up after they did their work.

We try to do this every 6 months to avoid a problem with our sewer running out to the street. I would recommend them to friends. They do a good job for a reasonable price. We have checked other providers and they seem to be quite reasonable. They came on the date we requested them.

They ended up being excellent. The fellow who represents them came and it was good. He loves the job. He's very helpful and knowledgeable. He was open for suggestions. I suggested a couple of things and he said it was a good idea. They're the best. The price was fair. They came right away.

We are looking to purchase a house and our inspector recommended getting a sewer scoping done. There was sewer splash back on the walls so that's where the recommendation came from. I called Jack at Roto Rooter and he was very professional over the phone. He actually got me excited for the work to be done. He was very personable. Stan came out on time and was very professional. he brought the camera to the basement, loaded a DVD and recorded the whole process. He ran the camera all the way through and back a few times to see what he could see. He noted that the pitch of the sewer line was pretty low but that was typical of the old homes. He said the camera didn't catch on anything so it looked like a good sewer line. I'll definitely use Stan and Roto Rooter in the future!

I've only interacted with 1 man, and he's professional and competent. They are a good company!

Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Services were pretty good. They got here when they said they were going to. The guy who came to do the work was very friendly. They didn't leave a mess or anything. I wanted to change from the company that I was using previously and I started calling people to see who could get here the next day and they called me back to say they can get here the next day.

I have used Roto Rooter for the pass two years at least 2 to 3 times a year. My sewer line keeps getting clog due to tree roots that are present in my sewer. I use Roto Rooter to clean my line each time and also hired them to video tape the line since the town was asking for it. Roto Rooter arrives on time and always performed a very good job and explain everything to us while cleaning the sewer. They are very polite and always willing to answer any queations we may have. The price I gave in this review is for the video taping of the sewer, but their price for cleaning the sewer drain is roughly $230.00. The price is not too bad and they a very good job each and every time.

I am very pleased with their work. They are on time, very friendly and helpful. They keep great detailed records. They are great about follow up.

It was great. I really appreciated that you can make your appointments online, and they have appointments seven days a week. I actually made my appointment for a Sunday and only had two days notice. That fact is wonderful. They did a very good job, and I will be calling them later this week for more work.

It worked out fine and they were able to provide us with the information needed. If needed, I would use them in the future.

I have a two story house and I rent out one story and the man that came told us that the cost would be $150 up front for the first hour and then the price would be proportionately after it. Then the man came upstairs after a half hour and said that the next drain upstairs would cost another $70! I sent him away after that. The man on the phone didn't tell me any of that. I have used them for 15 years and this has been the first time I have ever had trouble with them. Someone else must have bought out the business and are trying to rip people off now.

Rooter Rooter sent a really nice guy to my house who told me how to fix the problem on my own in the future. I was pretty happy with them. They were pretty punctual and helpful. They did fix the problem for a decent price also.

My friend referred me to Roto Rooter because they are supposed to be good with this type of work and I had previously had a poor experience with another company. They solved the problem effectively and I liked the fact they were a referral from my friend as well. They were fine and I also liked the fact they have a good reputation in the area because they are a larger company.

THE PRICE WAS WAY TOO HIGH. I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AT ALL. I WOULD NEVER CALL THEM AGAIN. HE CRACKED MY TILE FLOOR AND DIDN'T EVEN FIX IT. THEY DIDN'T GET THE DRAINS CLEANED PROPERLY. I CALLED THE COMPANY, AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NO GUARANTEE.

I THINK ROTO-ROOTER IS VERY EXPENSIVE. WHEN THEY CAME TO UNCLOG MY SINK THEY WERE ON TIME. I FEEL THAT THEY ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE and RELIABLE IN THEIR FIELD. ALSO, THERE WAS MINIMAL CLEAN-UP AFTERWARDS. I HAVE USED THEM 2 OR 3 TIMES BEFORE.
