Edgar and his crew did a fanastic job! Edgar gave us a fair quote and recommendation for our tree. The tree was dying and really couldn't be saved by just trimming it so it had to be removed. They arrived early and cut down a 28ft tree within a couple of hours and made us feel at ease as some of the branches were hanging over our house. They cleaned everything up nicely and were very friendly. We highly recommend FAMA as Edgar is very knowledgeable and cares about trees and will offer a high level of service.

Great. FAMA gave me the best price for the first job that I wanted done. He advised that I could rid of a enormous pine tree that was splitting in half and could potentially fall right down the middle of my neighbor's house. We could have let nature take it's course and had home owner's insurance take care of it, but we like our neighbor. He gave us an option to do it without the crane which saved $500. We watched them cut it down and was very impressed they did minimal damage to our gardens. They cleaned up and took care of everything. I have two more trees to go and will contact them again.

Showed up on time and got the job done faster than I expected. Left the yard clean of all branches and chips! Very impressed and if I had any trees left on my property they would be my first call!

Edgar gave me an estimate in the fall, but suggested I hold off doing any work until the spring since I had just planted a lot of grass seed. I called him back recently and we went over what we discussed as well as some other work I was considering having him complete in my yard. Edgar convinced me not to do the other work as it was not necessary and might cause harm to some of the trees. I was impressed by this as he could have easily given me a price and done what I asked about. His crew arrived early on Saturday and after Edgar told them what to do, they went right to work. The crew use ropes to climb and lower limbs so there is no damage to the trees or the lawn. They removed all limbs, dead wood and sucker growth we discussed and cleaned up after the job was done. I have used a number of tree companies in the last ten years. After working with Edgar last week I will not use anyone else going forward. His pricing was fair for the work he did, and no one else has ever told me not to do something I was planning to do with the trees in my yard. This man really loves trees and is not just looking to make money off a customers lack of knowledge about how to care for trees. Its not often you find someone who is this honest and skilled at what he does.

Edgar and his crew were absolutely phenomenal. Our estimate was fair and Edgar walked us through our options regarding everything we discussed doing. On the day the work was being completed, the crew was punctual and very respectful to our property, as well as that of the neighbors. The day went like clockwork and everything was done safely and by the book. Our neighbors all reached out to note how respectful and courteous the crew was if/when they were moving vehicles or cleaning up scraps on the street or in driveways. We had our work scheduled during a week that had a ton of rain, and Fama's business manager kept in contact with us re: scheduling given the poor weather throughout the week.

Between Angie’s List and local resources I got six quotes to remove a 100 yr old 70 foot Norway Maple that was disrupting foundations of our house and of the garage. Most quotes were +/- $200 (except one extreme @ $800 more!!!) End decision was less about the quotes, more about how contractors presented themselves, answered questions, explained how they were going to do the job. Edgar Dominguez owner of Fama Tree Service was first contractor to respond, assess removing the Maple. I asked about potential damage to our garage’s slate roof (what roofers call a ‘glass roof’). He explained how the limbs and trunk would be double-roped for control, then cut & lowered manually. Fama is fully licensed and insured. After he left, I later thought to get OK from my neighbor about cutting/trimming branches of his very large, beautiful Copper Beech over-hanging our driveway & house. I had all subsequent contractors quote the Maple and Beech projects separately. After interviewing/getting quotes from other contractors, I asked Edgar if he could take another look, together with my neighbor. My neighbor is extremely knowledgeable and VERY particular about the trees and landscaping on his excellently maintained property. First: All communication/responses I had with Edgar and Karen at his office were superb! That next afternoon Edgar arrived with Lalo, his foreman to meet us. Second: As a very customer friendly, highly experienced professional, Edgar listened to all my neighbor wanted done. Edgar recommended/explained best approaches - even if it meant not doing anything - to maintain health, balance and appearance for the trees my neighbor needed work on. We both agreed Edgar’s team was the best. Edgar and a double crew arrived on sched. Edgar was onsite entire time, not just ensuring everything was done safely by his team, but working hands-on as hard as everyone else, managing ropes & drops, carrying/feeding cut pieces to the chipper, quartering large hunks of trunk. As our tree removal wound down, the team progressively went over to my neighbor. Entire day was amazing: like watching an acrobatic performance, no motions wasted. The Fama crew of experts are very friendly, entirely professional. My neighbor was very pleased with all the work done on his property, as am I for the care taken removing our tree. By end of day every branch, twig, leaf and sawdust was taken away from both our properties. Edgar responded very quickly when we started to research providers. Despite the restrictions with the pandemic, he was able to get his crew on-site within 2 days to complete the work. Great job by the crew in removing several trees down a slope then grinding down several stumps. Cannot recommend Fama Enough!!! Will definitely pass along my experience with them & will use them again!

The job went well. The men did everything asked of them and cleaned up the fallen branches. My only complaint is that while dropping the fallen branches, a stack of bricks was displaced. It took a long time for me to stack them up again. Taking down the trees and vines that were entangled went well.

Edgar and his group did an excellent job of trimming my hedges, some of which are quite high-and-wide. He also pointed out to me (which I had not previously noticed) how a tall tree on my property had split at the base and would at some point splinter and fall, likely landing on my house, so I had it removed. Will definitely use them next year!

We could not be more pleased with the great work that Edgar and the crew of Fama Tree Service have done on our property. We had about 25 tall hemlocks at the front of our property that were essentially dead and in danger of falling into the roadway in the event of a heavy wind storm. We had several other dead trees on our property, including one in our back yard that appeared to be in imminent danger of falling. Also, several trees had begun to grow into our power lines and towards our roof, blocking sunlight. Edgar was not only very knowledgeable about our trees and our situation, but he also quoted us a great price to not only have the trees removed, but to also trim the existing ones and the various shrubs and bushes around the property that had begun to overgrow. Upon receiving the required permits from the town, Edgar and his crew made quick work of the trees, completing the job in two days and not leaving one speck of debris anywhere. In addition, knowing that we were going to replace the trees in the front with some bushes at some point in the future, Edgar made sure to grind all the stumps down to allow us the option for planting something else in its stead. We truly were happy with the great work that Edgar and everyone at Fama Tree Service did for us. When we first met Edgar, he made one thing very clear to us: "I love trees". His knowledge, care, compassion and dedication to the work he did showed us that this statement is true. We highly recommend him to anyone who needs tree work done on their property and have given his name and number to several of our neighbors.

FAMA tree service did a great job for me. We had 2 Ash trees which needed to be taken down. Both were in tough spots due to near house or wires. They handled with care and I was pretty amazed that not even a branch hit my house. I have and several neighbors state how great the house looks now with the work completed. Also the team worked so hard they were at my house from 8 AM to almost 8 PM to complete. They were really neat to watch!

The owner Edgar Dominguez was very kind and super friendly. My main concern was a tree leaning towards the house. The day of the service as he was in the tree he noticed a few irregularities in some other trees in the property. He let me know right away and I decided to get it done same day. The crew was very nice and respectful as well. Very happy with the service performed. Thank you!!!

Edgar is a very knowledgeable and friendly businessman. He is very passionate about his business. He will tell you exactly what you need when it comes to either saving or removal of any type of tree. He will not lead you in the wrong direction. He will explain in detail what he will do for your property. It is very hard to find an honest, reliable and knowledgeable professional such as him. We were very pleased with the work that Edgar and his crew did. They completed all the work listed in the estimate, and Edgar also noted and trimmed a few items not on the estimate. He seemed very knowledgeable and was easy to talk to. His crew was friendly and efficient. The maple that he cabeled was a large tree that he pruned back first and then cabeled to keep the tree from splitting further apart. We definitely will use them again.
