 + 0 moreThe new limeston caps on the wall had to be removed because the wrong size was used. This weakened the wall and therefore it cracked in 3 places over the winter. Also, the stucco job was very poor workmanship. I left several phone messages and was told via a note that due to personal reasons, Ciccolella Paving was no longer in business.
Description of Work: replace existing driveway, repair retaining wall and replace limestone caps.

Description of Work: Replace the driveway and correct the pitch so the water could run to the street,it was not done properly.So I talk to him,he put another layer of asphalt to correct the puddles.This left me with the walkway to the house lower than the driveway,so now water accumulate there,.He slanted the first row of blue stone after my complain of gap between driveway and walkway | In summer of 2013 he came back to resolve the problem with the puddles when it rains, so they add asphalt to a few feet close to the street.After a week this mix started to loosen up, crumbling(another set back)so the mix a few weeks later has to be reheated and press again.Sealer was applied to make look even,because at that point it had 2 tones but the workers did a lousy job,the material was not spread evenly,its looks like waves,thick in some parts and thin in others.I thought that with time it will look better and more even,but it has not being the case.My husband did a better job when he used to applied the sealer. Nick has done perfect work in my neighborhood and I do not have anything bad to say about him like a person but maybe to supervise a little more the work done.He was paid in advanced 1/2 and as soon as the work was done other 1/2.

That said, Nick and Anthony have a tendency to overpromise and quot;freeand quot; incidentals and then overcharge other incidentals to compensate for the and quot;freeand quot; incidentals. My suggestion is to understand the entire scope of their services, the corresponding costs for the various services, and to commit all the services and costs to writing.

 + -1 moreUnreliable! These guys were a colossal waste of time, I received a fair estimate in the fall. Then the job got postponed until the spring, I was assured I would be first on the list when the spring came. Once the weather permitted we repeatedly rescheduled start dates. To then get a phone call that the company was declining our work. The owners excuse at first was that the and quot;concrete was to thickand quot; to then say he had and quot;personal problemsand quot;. The owner NIck seemed extremely unprofessional and untrustworthy with his constant change of reasons of why the work could not be done. This was a process that took over 6 months to then at the end not even get completed. Homeowners beware do not use this company if you wish to have something done in a timely and professional manner.

Of all the contractors we dealt with, Nick was the most professional and overall I feel as if I got the best value from him. From the beginning, he was always on time, explained everything and gave good advise. When it came time for the work to be done, his team was punctual and extremely neat. They kept everything clean. All the way around it was a great experience and I would absolutely work with Nick again.

 + 0 moreCiccolella's price was competitive and they did the work quickly. We have no problem with quality of the sidewalk that they installed. Our only quibbles with them is that they left quite a number of small pieces of concrete scattered all over our law, which were annoying to pick up. Also, we discovered several small areas in the flower beds where a bit of concrete had been poured over the earth leaving a coating which had to be removed. I do not know if this is a standard practice, but it did not leave a good impression.
Description of Work: Ciccolella replaced four concrete slabs on our sidewalk.

Description of Work: I had my driveway done and some pavement and they did a good job. First, they came on time every day and came back 3 weeks later to check up on the work. I did have some minor issues a year later but I called and they came right away to fix it. I will definitely recommend them and would do work again if needed.

The project extended over a couple of months due to a series of bad weather days but Nick wanted to be sure the project was finished properly. He worked with me on a number of special details I requested and was always concerned that I was completely happy with every stage and aspect of the project. His crew is 100% professional and courteous. I might have found someone to do the project for slightly less but it was a large and quite expensive project and I was very pleased with my decision to entrust it to Nick.
Description of Work: Total reconstruction of a large (3,500 sq ft) residential driveway with installation of a paver garage apron and belgian block curbs.
