Peter and Ian we're extremely professional. Quoted a fair price and performed work with neatness and precision. Our bedrooms are now as warm as the rest of the house.

Breeze Control Inc. came to my home to diagnose why my whole house fan wouldn't come on . The repairman took off the dial speed on/off switch (which he reinstalled incorrectly) then diagnosed the problem as a burnt out fan motor. They recommended a replacement fan for $1,689.00 and pushed to do the job right away. That made me suspicious, so I contacted another company who sent over a technician. He diagnosed a bad Fire Stat switch in the attic and repaired it for a total of $248.44. There was nothing wrong with my fan motor and it's working fine now . I recommend avoiding Breeze Control Inc. of 74 W Main St, Bergenfield, NJ 07621. Either they're incompetent or they're unethical. I know which of the two I suspect.

When I contacted Breeze Control, they were quick to return my calls and receptive to my questions. They gave an over-the-phone estimate to replace our non-functioning attic fan, and said they would provide an in-person estimate for insulation of some trouble areas if insulating was possible. In fact, they said they could be prepared to go right ahead and replace the fan when they came to check out our insulation - we ended up going ahead with the replacement because their asking price was quite fair. We didn't end up up doing any insulation work at the time, as after checking it appeared that further insulation where we had concerns would probably be redundant. They arrived early (which my husband was impressed by, as a very punctual person himself), finished the work efficiently for the agreed price, and were very professional throughout! I'm so glad we got the fan replaced before the heat of summer - we've had several hot days since the installation where I could tell the fan was running, and it's helped to keep our upstairs merely warm, rather than letting it turn into an oven! I would absolutely call on them again should we have further need of their expertise, and I definitely recommend them to others.

Exceptionally well! Peter and Ian from BC homes provided a realistic, down-to-earth assessment of an attic problem that was leading to condensation damage of the roofing wood. They outlined several approaches for solving the problem which were not loaded up with excessive items. Quotes for each element of the proposed work was equal to the lowest provided by other contractors, and they were able to unify the whole job. It involved removal of sheet rock, removal of old insulation, adding several types of new insulation, adding a ridge vent, and (with a separate contractor) removal of damaged roof wood and its replacement, replacing chimney flashing, and re-shingling the roof. This generated a huge amount of debris to be cleaned up and required much shuffling of items stored in the attic. They were extremely professional and careful in all of their work, much of which involved going in and out of our house often with large amounts of material -- all with no contamination. The work was done in the time scheduled and that the cost quoted. They were a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them.

Terrific. Ian and team assessed the situation and explained the range of things we could do. The work ultimately included adding powered ventilation fans and new soffit vents. Removed old insulation, cleaned attic of dust and debris, painted the attic with primer to kill squirrel odors, added both fiberglass and cellulose insulation. Found holes where squirrels had entered and repaired them. Also patched Sheetrock holes where some old ac vents were removed. They kept the house clean throughout the process and hauled away dozens of bags of garbage insulation. Very pleasant to work with. I would recommend.

Very difficult to deal with. Unclear when they would show up. Ceiling was never done properly. Roof has had an issue since.

They were terrific, we really lucked out with these guys.

They showed up when they said they would and walked me through each step. They took extra care to maintain the cleanliness of my home. They came to work in the middle of a snow storm to complete my project on time and on budget. They where very accommodating with addition issues that I had. The project was completed to my satisfaction and I would recommend this company to friends and family.

It didn't go well because they didn't show. I'm renovating 2 bathrooms in my 1925 home, and wanted a quote for installation of properly vented exhaust fans. The work would've involved making openings in the ceilings, installing the exhaust fans, and penetrating the roof. I also wanted a quote on insulating/sealing of the attic which is like a 3rd level in my home. The work in the bathrooms is almost complete, and I still have to find a contractor to properly vent the moisture. I wish Breeze Control would have responded. Based on this experience, I'd have to suspect that its for the best. Perhaps I wouldn't have been happy with their work anyhow.

Peter was very professional and responsive. He made an effort to come when both my husband and I could be present and showed up on time. We explained our previous issues with ice dams (including water pouring through my daughter's windows!) and he gave us low cost ideas on what needed to be done and how to fix it ourselves. Needless to say, we were very impressed by his honesty! I wouldn't hesitate to call him with any insulation issues we have in the future.

I couldn't choose better. I received the quote the following day of the visit as promised. It was a great deal and I like that it is a family business and they didn't send only a sales guy. Scheduling was very flexible and they showed up on time as promised. Father and son work great together. We are very happy with the job and there was literally no cleaning left after them. Thank you so much for everything.

I must say that I was very disappointed. I had to chase them to get them to return my call. They are give a feeling that they don't want to do the job. It's difficult finding a reliable contractor and I went to them because I saw good reviews here. But I guess the job they needed to do on my walls was not worth their time because instead of telling me "listen lady, it's not worth doing", they just said "ok, we'll stop by and take a look" and never did. It's very disappointing...

I contacted BreezeControl from a flyer I must have had sitting around for I cannot even recall how long. My first contact was through their website (leave a comment). I left a message Saturday morning and received a call/voicemail from Peter on Sunday (apologizing for it being a Sunday but telling me he would call back Monday to schedule). Peter called Monday and we set a time for Monday. Ian called me an hour before the appointment to confirm he would be at the house to discuss a whole house fan and showed up exactly as promised. The visit was very professional and he left me with a clear estimate and sense of professionalism from my interaction so far. I just signed up for Angie's List and checked out BreezeControl - disturbed by some of the F ratings but find the responsiveness of both Peter and Ian comforting (especially since the F's were not related to actual work). Looking forward to doing the work and being able to write another positive review.

Peter and Ian were very professional. They showed up early in the morning or communicated any delays, worked quietly (I hardly knew they were in the house) and cleanly. Peter showed up on the weekend to do some spackling so he could work more efficiently the next Monday. Terrific experience, our 2nd floor bedroom/converted attic is now cool and free of condensation build up on the ceiling.

The crew showed up a little late, but they did call and let me know they were running behind schedule. They drilled a number of holes into the ceiling and made sure not to interfere with the duct work then blew the insulation in. Once completed the holes were patched.

They were on time, personable, done in a few hours and the best price around. I recommended them to everyone now.

Peter showed up on time and spent half day installing insulation and taking attic trash to the driveway. Promised to come back later to pick up trash. Never showed.

I had called for an appointment and they were able to set a mutually convenient time the next day to preview what needed to be done and provide a written estimate. Ian was exactly on time, professional and very thorough. He explained how much additional insulation would be necessary to achieve the R values recommended for our area (Northeast). Due to the size of the attic and used for partial storage he recommend (to save costs) that the the unused portion could have blown insulation and the areas around and under the plywood covered storage areas would have insulation rolls. In the areas of blown insulation they needed to add soffit baffles to ensure proper airflow and ventilation for the attic. They also provided an attic stair cover to prevent loss of heat as the attic stair (pull down ladder) does not close tightly. Ian assured me the written estimate would be the complete and exact total and that he would be one of the installers to oversee the actual work. I had received other estimates of much higher amounts for comparable R value coverage and work We set a date for the work and they arrived exactly on time and did the work professionally and neatly, using drop cloths near the attic access and then cleaned up the outside area that was used for the insulation blower pump. The final cost was exactly as he had stated on the estimate and was payable by credit card. I would definitely recommend Breeze Control. Besides insulation they also do a wide range of other services including whole house fans, bath fans, attic ventilators, etc., etc. Their prices were very reasonable for the amount of work done and they were professional, courteous and punctual.

Ian and Peter could not have been more PLEASANT to work with. They were on time, professional, helpful, and great to work with. I would recommend them to anyone!

Called Thursday afternoon spoke with Peter one of the the owners(/managers?) Scheduled for 8AM on SATURDAY MORNING!!! Being able to schedule Saturday morning worked great with my schedule. Found our from wife Saturday was going to busy so I called Peter back 10 minuted later. He offered to come at 8AM the next day on Friday morning! Peter himself arrived at my door at 7:50AM. Punctuality and even being early earns big points in my book. He originally told me on the phone he would have to cut small holes in the interior walls to check which he would then patch after the inspection. When he arrived he told me he could check my house from the exterior and I would not have to be present. That allowed me to leave and make it to work only slightly later than normal. Received a phone call in the afternoon from again from Peter who was my point of contact telling me they inspected my house and I have insulation already so they would not be able to apply/install any of the spray insulation I was looking for. Peter was honest and told me that he could not do anything in my house as it would be a waste. Honesty. Honesty. Honesty, Love it, can't beat it. I asked him about a small job I needed a General Contractor for and he said he would get back to me with a price. This was earlier today and he said he would call me tomorrow. So far so good, I will call again in the future if the need arises. An honest man stays in my phone book until he shows me he doesn't' belong.

Everything was finished quickly and efficiently. Team was friendly and happy to show me their work and explain how and why the fans work the way they do. Only minor disappointment was dirty footprints on the cream rug in the room they had to go through to access the attic.

They were excellent. They were very nice and efficient. They did a good job of explaining to me what would be done and how it would be done in an expedient fashion.

Called Breeze Control on Friday and spoke to Ian, we made an appt for Monday. On Monday he didn't show or call ? On Tuesday I called and left a message _no call back ! On Thursday I called and spoke to peter, he an appt. for the next day. When he left he said he would call me and see me the next day to finalize costs and work to be done. It's been over a week and I'm still waiting! I have read other reviews on breeze and it appears they have a history of this. Undependable or just do not care.
